Haha, you said "no they are chicken tenders" and my daughter yelled from the other room, "No, no, no. HE is the chicken Tender. You tend to chickens,' lol
Can never store enough water we have 10,000 gallon storage. And have IBC totes all over our property full of water at all times. Water is so important. You don't realize how important until it's not at your disposal.
Next, there will be 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏 Sheep's milk and cheese❤. The ckicks are soooo cute🎉. It's always a pleasure 🙏 to watch your loving family vlogs. ❤❤❤ How many Sheep's are coming home? SEE YOU ON FRIDAY'S SHOPTALK
If just one fifth of his subscribers sent five dollars each to his site, there would be enough to buy a tractor with all attachments. 😅. Just a thought!
I remember years ago when my dog Max saw his first chicken he tried all day to get close enough to smell it then when he did finally got to sniff it the chicken got scared Max got scared max ran for his life under the chair and stayed there until it was time to go home. It was the funniest thing I ever saw.
You need to get a livestock Guardian dog. Like Al from Luma Acres did. You're getting animals you need guard dog. If they made it through the fence you could have lost a lot of chickens.
Jason have you seen the fun water challenge. Longhorn Lester has challenged all the UA-cam farmers to see how clean you keep your animals waterers clean that you drink out of them
I was just thinking that their feed would be more palatable wet. I don't know if that's true. Then you said, I'm going to start soaking their feed, lol.
I really like your system for loading and unloading your big bags of feed. Crafty for sure😊 Lol recess time. Family working together to get the job done in a timely manner. Oh boy here comes the chicks❤great reward after all the hard work 😊
Hello Jason, Lorraine and Penelope. I love your determination! You are building a fantastic farm. You and the Lumnahs are my two favorite channels. I love your channel and I never miss a video.
Always up for trying something different. Although I would imagine that Sheep's Milk could be very pricey. Another pretty good episode from Sow The Land.😊
You and your beautiful are such an influence on the words community. Keep up the good work. Positive vibe and prayers sent. Love the bellia family. Heart of heart's.
If you buy a 3ton or more floor jack to place under the tongue of your trailer, you can detach the trailer from truck without worrying about too heavy a load
Big brain move using that barn hoist like that for the feed. I love the videos as an aspiring homesteader working in IT dreaming of the day that it'll be come real. Your videos are a great inspiration for how I want to live and care for the land in a respectful and responsible manner. Cheers to you and your family, you guys are great.
I've been told that sheep's milk (compared to cow's milk) is slightly sweeter and richer in taste, as well as full of great nutrients. I live in Italy, so I've eaten a lot of excellent pecorino cheese made from sheep's milk, but I haven't seen sheep's milk for sale here to drink. You can buy goats' milk and yogurt here, as well as raw cow's milk though. I think you should go watch them at Red Belle Ridge milk their sheep on their farm. Maybe you might not be so reticent to try it after seeing how easy it is. 😉👍
Would be nice if once you get a solid perimeter fence you get a LGD. You would have to do research to make sure you got the proper breed for the animal assortment that you have. As well as the weather it would need to endure. Heat moreso than cold.
I had to tell my neighbor whose dog killed six of our ducks and 3 chickens that I will do whatever it takes to protect my animals. She's kept her dog in her yard since.
I wish dog owners would be responsible for their dogs. Honestly the owners are the ones who need to be trained. The dogs unfortunately are the ones who suffer the consequences. Failed by humans. I hope the fence gets built soon. And you can then have some reprieve. Looking great!!
! had a Polish friend that could only eat sheep milk cheese. She sent me some and it tasted quite good. It seems that it has a higher butterfat content than Cows milk or goats milk.
Awesome stuff great video Jason did you also know sheep and goats milk is good for people who are lactose intolerant and can make cheese from it as well 😊love ❤️ you folks see you soon Pete cape Town south Africa 🇿🇦
Old timey way of managing roving dawgs talk to your neighbors if you can figure out who they belong to? But you have prolly already done that. Spring is the time when dawgs go visiting other dawgs cause the male are looking for open females. They can smell them. They sniff out where each other lives. Who has female dawgs? Dawg map the neighborhood for 20 miles around. LOL! Statistics project incoming? LOL. Love your channel and the work you do & sharing!
It seems weird to me that none of the homesteaders I watch (down to you and Ben these days tbh) buy one breed of layers per year so you can age them on sight. Bernices are 5, time for the stew pot. Hamshires are 4, they are getting close to the wire, Americana are 3 so half way there...
Did you notice your trailer swaying at all with that load right over the wheels? Usually it's best to put the weight more towards the front of the trailer to prevent sway
Sheep's milk is better for us! More like our size.... I love sheeps cheese! I actualy think I am alergic to caw's milk my throught clugs up with mucus, not fun at all! I developed this sine in US! Blessings!
Haha, you said "no they are chicken tenders" and my daughter yelled from the other room, "No, no, no. HE is the chicken Tender. You tend to chickens,' lol
Hi..... Jason and Loraine nice to see you both are doing good job BYE
You are the cleanest farmer keeps your feed in barrels cleans up the dropped feed wherever you spill. ❤
And no trash just lying around!
I love ALL Sow the Land videos!
Can never store enough water we have 10,000 gallon storage. And have IBC totes all over our property full of water at all times. Water is so important. You don't realize how important until it's not at your disposal.
Stray dogs do more dammage than any wild canines.... here everyone blames wolves or foxes... dogs kill for fun not just food.
truth
Yuppppp but it’s a tricky subject because you don’t want to have issues with your neighbors because in the country you all gotta depend on each other
Stray dogs don't last long when they come onto our property.
Time to build a sheep shelter and start a herd.....
Next, there will be 🐑 🐏 🐑 🐏
Sheep's milk and cheese❤.
The ckicks are soooo cute🎉.
It's always a pleasure 🙏 to watch your loving family vlogs. ❤❤❤
How many Sheep's are coming home?
SEE YOU ON FRIDAY'S SHOPTALK
Jason time to find a small tractor it would make your life so easy hugssss
If just one fifth of his subscribers sent five dollars each to his site, there would be enough to buy a tractor with all attachments. 😅. Just a thought!
Agree! We wish we had of gotten ours many years before we did.
I remember years ago when my dog Max saw his first chicken he tried all day to get close enough to smell it then when he did finally got to sniff it the chicken got scared Max got scared max ran for his life under the chair and stayed there until it was time to go home. It was the funniest thing I ever saw.
I find sheep's milk is sweeter than cow's milk. It is also easier to digest being closer to human milk.
Zeke says, "That's my girl, not your girl!" Unloading those totes is so much easier now that you have a system in place!
When ordering chickens I would want McMurray to just send four of everything.
I think it's great that you are partnering with red bell ridge. You're developing a real community.
Wholly cow that is a lot of feed!!!!
Winter is over. Spring....bring it on. 🐔🐣🐤🐥🐷🐽🐖
You need to get a livestock Guardian dog. Like Al from Luma Acres did. You're getting animals you need guard dog. If they made it through the fence you could have lost a lot of chickens.

I have been doing this video thing long enough to guess what the comments will be. 🤣
I really like your system for loading and unloading your big bags of feed. Crafty for sure😊
Lol recess time. Family working together to get the job done in a timely manner. Oh boy here comes the chicks❤great reward after all the hard work 😊
Jason,
You need a tractor with a loader.
Yes to sheep next! Love all your vids! I really like how you care how well things look and finding smarter ways to get things done❤
I’m happy I learned of your videos from the hollers you and your family are fun❤️
just gotta says sheep milk feta sounds real good! Love the pigs and all those new chicks are adorable, best of luck with the new animals.
Busy day. Awesome. ✌
Those cute pigs have the sweet life!
You have worked out your unloading feed pretty sweetly. New life coming. Life is sweet. Great video.

Another great video! I always enjoy,,,,,,down to earth farm, chores, gardening, chickens, etc love it all! Thank You for sharing!
If you buy a 3ton or more floor jack to place under the tongue of your trailer, you can detach the trailer from truck without worrying about too heavy a load
Makes sense that cow milk and sheep milk are similar. Similar diets. Great video! I think your dealer is going to get really busy soon.
🐝Thanks for the great video🌻
Yer living the dream!
Thanks for sharing
You need a deal with a tractor company. Hopefully TYM or Kioti comes along. Kioti especially really makes a nice tractor.
Thanks for takeing us for a Ride to the feed store
Things are getting busy on the homestead!
Good day to all.
Not using tractor supply for your feed pickup this year? Also just placed an order with my Amish supplier for goat milk, can’t wait to try it .
Have you ever considered using a shop vac lid to vacuum up the grain?? I don't know how, but it might work. And way faster then bucket by bucket.
I would be fascinated to learn how to milk sheep by watching you guys learn. We can learn along with you.
Oh those chicks are so cute!
All your barns are awesome
Maybe you could use a shop vac to suck the grain from the big bag into the buckets.
You've done so much work on your homestead, AND IT LOOKS MARVELOUS!!
HI WOW so good you have that netting up & it stopped them. Hope they will remember what it feels like getting that shock.
Enjoyed this video too! Really enjoy all of those.Thank you friends.
Glad you enjoyed it
We have chickens , 20 of them.
5 are all white leghorn type.
We call them Alice. Every white bird we get is called Alice.

Tou should talk to al about goats milk. On shop talk and what benefits goats have to a homestead
I had to tell my neighbor whose dog killed six of our ducks and 3 chickens that I will do whatever it takes to protect my animals. She's kept her dog in her yard since.
Talk to Al Lumna. He milks his goats. It's probably very similar.
Put a vertical post next to where you attach the tackle & block . . . seems rather glaring, cheers.
I wish dog owners would be responsible for their dogs. Honestly the owners are the ones who need to be trained. The dogs unfortunately are the ones who suffer the consequences. Failed by humans. I hope the fence gets built soon. And you can then have some reprieve. Looking great!!
You have quite the system for unloading the feed. Works good. Cute new laying chicks. Sheep milk, interesting. 👋😊💞
Bernices...❤❤❤
Sheep milk is creamy and yummy
! had a Polish friend that could only eat sheep milk cheese. She sent me some and it tasted quite good. It seems that it has a higher butterfat content than Cows milk or goats milk.
Loraine, you should do a series on how to alter patterns.
Awesome stuff great video Jason did you also know sheep and goats milk is good for people who are lactose intolerant and can make cheese from it as well 😊love ❤️ you folks see you soon Pete cape Town south Africa 🇿🇦
Sheep’s cheese is delicious 😀
I want you to get sheep. I can’t wait. Love your channel
Would livestock guardian dog keep stray dogs away?
Amazing, your hoisting system for unloading your feed🙂. Nice work!
~Love your channel
Sheep milk makes the best cheese. 😋
Sheep CHEESE is soooo good
I try and free range my chickens but I have lost 4 chickens this year alone to stray dogs, NC really has some serious issues with them.
Why are all the black chickens called Berniece? Claire, Melbourne, Australia
If sheep’s milk is naturally homogenized, how do you separate cream to make butter? Or do you?
Sheep's cheese is fabulous with none of the bite of goats cheese. I highly recommend sheep's milk products. With Aloha...
@Sow the Land .. whose going to break the news to AL (Lumnah) that a dairy cow is seeming less and less of an option ..LOL
Sheep milk cheese yummm! Manchego & pecorino are my favs
I like trying new food new drinks
Love the videos ✊🏾 How many gallons of water harvesting capacity do you have?
Old timey way of managing roving dawgs talk to your neighbors if you can figure out who they belong to? But you have prolly already done that. Baby Turkeys need niacin, clover has enough in it to help them survive
Check out the mini excavator in the box might be what you and Lorraine can use.
I enjoyed watching your video, thank you
That was pretty cool.
Look to get you a good tractor. A tractor with enough hp to do everything and more on your farm
How did you get that boo-boo on your nose Jason? Good info in video today. 🕊
You dont dip beaks?
Great video again 🇬🇧
You NEED sheep!

Yeah, we are weird 🥸
Just a quick question, is the little truck street legal? Or just farm legal?. Like the black IBC’s didn’t know they came in that colour.🇦🇺🎸⚡️🤘🏿🤘🏼💋❤️
he said in a different video when he first bought it that it is street legal. He even showed footage of him driving it down the road.
@@leannsmarie thank you. I wasn’t sure if that was the first truck or the new one
BAAAA BAAAA soon the sound of the farm. LOL
Could you explain how much you feed the pigs and how much they graze
Love sheep milk
Love your vids
Did you notice your trailer swaying at all with that load right over the wheels? Usually it's best to put the weight more towards the front of the trailer to prevent sway
Patients Bro Patients 😊
Our sheep milk tastes like cows milk bur more cream. We have hair sheep.
Fun stuff. ❤❤
GREETINGS AND BLESSINGS 🙏👍💪♥️
Sheep's milk is better for us! More like our size.... I love sheeps cheese! I actualy think I am alergic to caw's milk my throught clugs up with mucus, not fun at all! I developed this sine in US!
Blessings!
Or oberhasli goats milk
