“No toon can resist the ol shave and a haircut trick.” Thought to ponder: If what Doom says is true how is he able to resist, since he himself is a toon?
Because he is the one doing the the first part... but don't over think it... its roger rabbit!!! the movies nowadays make even less sense and are even more full of holes... I'd take roger rabbit over 90% of the New Age crap movies out there...
I read one idea being that Doom is essentially setting him and Roger up as an act, with himself as the Straight Man to Roger's wackiness, so Doom is the one who has to set up the gag, and Roger _has_ to be the one who finishes it, in particular because it's funnier for him to bust out of the wall and finish it then Doom or the weasels just finishing the number. Basically, Doom weaponized the rules of comedy in his favor to catch Roger. Of course, Eddie turned them right back around, but that's after...
Maybe the weasels were completing the rhythm silently (e.g. moving their eyes back and forth) so that they could relieve the temptation while still allowing Doom's tactic to do what he wanted to accomplish?
I watched this movie before and loved it. My social studies teacher was taking about 1896 election and asked us if we knew the beat. The class said yes of course and he started talking about how Populists wanted gold to be currency. Then one girl asked what that had to do with the song (we didn't know the words) then he did the beat and sung the song. He also mentioned this movie so I looked it up and here I am.
neither mexican can resist but it for offensive intentions (this chord is a affront as fuck you, their common use are in Vehicular congestions, soccer games, concerts ect)
I sometimes dislike videos based on their lack of effort to make the quality good. I mean, in this one, they screen recorded from a website, but didn't bother to cut the scene with the UI from the beginning or play it before the scene and then cut the start out.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit is good, but his best is Forrest Gump, followed closely by Back To The Future in my opinion. Nothing can beat those two movies. But all of these good movies just show why Robert Zemeckis is one of my favorite directors.
Elana Davis interesting theory except you are flat out wrong. The only decent movie Hanks ever was in is Cast Away also directed by Zemeckis. And the only reason it is any good is because of Helen Hunt. She's in it for five minutes out of almost three hours and she steals the show. She is better than perfect
This recently came up and I’m ashamed at how long it took me to remember…. Because there were other things put to this tune. Skunk in a barnyard was the first one that came to mind… but maybe that was just my school cause my friend had never heard of it.

@@DarkRatMr I'm italian and you are right, here the song sound like that "Ammazza la vecchia (pause) col flit!!!" Im guessing its the toon rules that whoever sets up the act, they can chose who has to finish it. So Doom is opening a act with Roger as the punch line.
I've never seen anybody rip a youtube video that was already a movie rip and put it on a different youtube video. Can't you tell how bad it sounds? Somebody please put up a better clip of this!
Political slogans more often than not follow the “shave and a hair cut” timing. Think about “black lives matter”, “all 11 million” etc etc…. Makes you wonder if the political class looks at the voting class as toons.
Everyone knows if you sing a iconic song and stop midway someone has to finish it

Shave and a haircut two bits is the name

Notice how the first time Doom did the "shave and a haircut" bit, Eddie almost said "Tw-", before stopping himself.
What was he about to say?

A bigger thing to ponder is why the Weasels were able to resist
@@XJIcequeen the answer is simple, they are bad guys.
And the weasels for that matter

He's got Lucius Malfoy's cane
No he doesn't. Lucius has a snake cane, Judge Doom has a skull and snake cane. They look totally different
0:16 NO!!!!!!!!!! NOT THAT FINALE!!!!!!!!!!
I knock on the nearby wall when sitting on the toilet, my gf always reluctantly finishes the bit lol
This scene is what started my family door knock. The first person has to do the "shave and a haircut" and the second person does the "two bits".
How did Judge Doom resist his own "Shave and a Haircut"?
I suspect that, had Roger not answered it, he would have done so himself before he left.
He was the setup
He who begins shave and a haircut is resistant to the temptation of finishing it himself. -Some guy somewhere
He wasn't...didn't you notice him singing to the beat at the end there?
