The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie is a premier training institution for the civil services in India. It is headed by a Director (an officer of the level of Secretary to the Government of India) and is an attached office of the Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India.
It conducts a common Foundation Course for entrants to the All India Services; Indian Foreign Service; Group ‘A’ services of the Union and the Royal Bhutan Service followed by professional training for the regular recruits of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and members of the Royal Bhutan Service. The Academy also conducts in-service and Mid-Career Training Programmes (MCTPs) for members of the IAS and Induction Training Programme for officers promoted to the IAS from State Civil Services. In addition, workshops and seminars on policy and governance-related issues are held from time to time.
The Academy Experience
The Academy convenes the very best in higher Civil Service training and capacity building at its sprawling campuses in the salubrious clime of Mussoorie.
Participants take advantage of a vibrant campus life, competent Faculty, excellent infrastructure for interactive learning to develop professional skills and attitudes, which are necessary for a career in public service.

They are scholar-practitioners with the responsibility of assessing training needs, design curriculum, identify and deliver programmes.
The Academy is unique in its ability to draw specialists from the non-government and private sectors. Additionally, there are those who come from leading global institutions to supplement the efforts of the in-house Faculty. This makes it a hub for learning and exchange of ideas from within and outside the Government.

Yes. Some are born leader. But it's too early to judge. Mostly people are college pasouts.
This is why it's 1-2 years full comprehensive training given to all of them 😊

Go ahead fulfill the dreams of the people. Ignore failed people and their comments as they can't see other people grow from their own eyes and will always try to pull you all down.
People are criticising bcoz now they see how the government services work.
First of all it was all about respect for civil servants. Even now they are respected bt the same trainees change after a period of time.
I am not blaming the trainees bt the system we have is colonial. It is not the one of the land. So we have only yes man around important ministers.
If it were so effective we wud have been at some other level.
Our bureaucracy acts as a hindrance to progress and not the other way around.
Work around the officers to know the ground reality.
Bt somewhere change has to start bt changes need to be made in the system.

Well politicians are representatives so they will always interfere.
Bt it gets worse when they interfere keeping in mind interest of a person over the community.
And most of the time bureaucrats are a party to this sort of things.
And many change bcoz the environment they live in makes it possible to totally mold them.
There are many for example like Chanrakala who showed a different public face and is now faced with 300 cr corruption charges.

What one see from them may or may not seem what they really mean. These trainees know well how to respond to the media. After all being a civil servant is all about determination to work hard and perseverance. Even if one is posted in an area of corrupt politics they have to balance their qualities either by joining them or face transfer.
