Well Lieutenant Patterson glad to have you along. I’m Master Sergeant Kelso. We need to evacuate this area immediately. Along the way I need to liberate many of men as possible. Go now we’ve got you covered. Patterson take the high rise and get in some cover.
Played this game when I was 9 or 10. Both gramps were in WW2 and I after playing this game I had a ton of perspective and respect for what they and their generation collectively went through. The music alone was a big part of these games' impact.
Master Sergeant Kelso knew him and his men weren’t going to make it out of Arnhem, but he got Jimmy to his objective anyway because he knew it was the only way the allies were going to win the war. Just like the real life sacrifice of the 1st Paras in Arnhem…. Back when games actually got kids interested in history…. God I miss frontline…
I credit a lot of my interest in WWII to this game. Learning about the weapons, the battles and even the HO-IX project of which the game was ultimately about. This was a huge educational source for me
Agreed as far as the European theater of world War II Frontline and airborne and European assault are my favorites and vanguard as well I thought it was pretty sick in medal of Honor airborne when they add this soundtrack to operation market garden an airborne that was pretty sick and really nostalgic also thought it was really cool and nostalgic when they added the soundtrack from underground on there from the level where you faced the panzers in underground in the first act of the game occupied
Because they needs money, nothing else matters to them. They does not anymore respect énough of the veterans who fought for all of us. They just wants money that is being controlled anyways by some elite force that has brought for all of us in the world ALL these major conflicts, giving us excuses why were being sent to war. Such case was with george bush, he lied to the soldiers about WMD, and forced those soldiers to kill thousands all for nothing. It is the same thing that is going on now with ukraine war. Same elites that only wants to benefit themselves out of all this, people out there in WEF, bilderbergs, freemasons etc, they wants a new world order. And NWO cannot happen without some kind of massive world problem. Why people aren't revolting? Because they have been studied for years, on how to make them be enough sheeple and feeble minded to not even think with their own head, enough at least to understand the reality we've been forced to live in for a long time, to be belowered always to some kind of systems offered things. Anything. Even religions, if not also mainly. For those who are religious, think it; the ones who brought all this shit for us to live in, they did not feel anything for they are soulless. They noticed one thing that they could not control, which is love, hence the reason they created bible, giving people plenty of illusions to believe some "god" loves them. People believes it was god that made this world, but really, they just wants to make you think that would be the case. And people such weak minded, ego filled, primitive race, it is quite easy to believe that sorts of lies, especially when race been studied for years. There ain't gonna be jesus to save us. We people must liberate ourselves from this long lasted torment they forced us all to live in. Those guys responsible for all this mess and chaos, they deserves death. All the pain they gave us for thousands of years, they deserves to experience it more worse than what they caused for us all.
Because it's all about money now. I think Medal of Honor actually wanted to tell the story of WWII and honor the people who fought and died. Hard to do that with micro-transactions and loot boxes.
@@HiveQu33n i think the vast majority of big game franchises we have now started out as passion projects , kinda like musicians who started out by playing the guitar in their garage , and once they became big enough they lost the passion and love for the project , on top of that the original creators leave and are replaced with newer people with different visions and ideas , now im not saying new people are bad and that all game studios go down this road of what is essentialy greed , but alof ot them have went this way unfortunately

When I was 7 or 8, I used to only get 30min for video game time. Id have to beg just so I could play this game. Sometimes I'd just sit to the music and cry. Wasn't just the game for me. The music made me feel something so intricate and deep.
My gosh WWII games these days do not hit the way they did back then. I loved the older WWII COD games as well as Brothers in Arms (Much forgotten game series) This map was the most memorable for me simply because of the music.
Fight goes on man. The same guys who are behind this worlds problems still exists. The very same that forced people to kill each others in ww1 and ww2 and later conflicts, all due to their will to gain more power, to for example achieve a new world order. Souls of those passed soldiers, they wants revenge.
I think Market Garden would make a great subject to revisit in a big budget film - and would be enhanced further if producers fit this music into it somewhere!
I love how sorrowful the music is compared to the usual bombastic, action movie music in most WW2 games. It creates a very sad atmosphere, which is very fitting. Makes you stop and think about the real events these levels are based on.
People always trying to say video games make you violent. Meanwhile, my 12 year old ass is reloading the level trying to see if I can save the NPC soldiers who can't be saved.
For some reason when me and my fellas where kids, we asociate this level of the game with the movie Saving Private Ryan, and we even named the mission informally with the name of the movie, by that time to have people who could speak English here in Brazil was something dificult.

No side was completely in the right, and that’s what made this war so horrible, truly horrible. I will never pick sides and I’m not biased to one, but when you think these countries lost millions of lives over the long and bitter war, it makes you wonder, what good did it do? You had the western allies, and hell they were good people! Not all, but most… and then you had the axis (not so much the Japanese until later on) who only had defending their beautiful country and leader on their mind. It’s a hard thing to think about.
Gabe I think you are trying a bit too hard to please everyone with this comment but will end up pleasing no one. Your local library or bookstore is bound to have shelves stacked full of books on WWII - if you want to read into it a bit more I doubt you’ll conclude that the National Socialist movement was about “defending their beautiful country and leader”. One of the clues in this video is that it refers to Arnhem in the Netherlands (as in, someone else’s country).
