After you spent all of this time building a character that really represents you, you slowly lose them to mechanisation to stay at peak performance. Were just two in game aspects of the story i really enjoyed.
I deleted the first reply because I thought this was on my new AC6 review and responded that way lol. Very well spoken. I did notice the upgrading of your character chipping away at your humanity, though I shared that in my demo impressions video earlier that year. Probably could’ve stood to mention it once more here. Either way, appreciate your input
The Rookie (named Sirius in the ongoing light novel, Star Reclaimer) being an AI is an interesting interpretation. And frankly...I'm not sure it's too far off. [Spoiler Warning] Given that you're a clone of Grief, you were basically reconstructed from data, his data. Only The Rookie was given free will, yet subconsciously remembered how to pilot an Arsenal (I'd assume.) _"We are the same, yet you are not me."_ Though, on the other hand, Sirius in Star Reclaimer seems to have the memory of simply needing money, as the world outside Oval is rather harsh towards Outers. (As you'd expect in a dystopian setting.) That said, why turn down a job when it means you don't get paid. So really, in that case, things are about the same as they are in Armored Core, just more anime, having, what I'd say is, a hint of Evangelion's 2nd Impact.

AT&B Thanks! Yeah that was a very satisfying amount of content for the game, and I still go back once in a while for the multiplayer bosses. Unfortunately I haven’t played any other games in the mech action genre, though I have played through EDF 2025, a third person shooter with a mech class that’s really enjoyable in a campy kind of way. That’s the best recommendation I can give
I only played Armored Core 4, and the PvP sounds about the same. Its main focus was speed in general. You equipped the gun with the highest damage and lowest weight. Then proceeded to run circles around your opponent. A lot of the fans of that series probably went with the same philosophy on this game. As for the story of "Armored Core 4", you could ignore the story for the most part. It is a solid story, rather minimalist. But it works.
Nice review. I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on Zone of the Enders The 2nd Runner which is my favorite Mech Action game. There's a demo on the PS4 if you want to give it a try

Honestly the IGN Review isn’t all that negative, it’s just since it’s not a bigger release there’s less incentive to give it a bloated rating for sales numbers. But yeah it’s a great game and I hope you have a great time with it! 😄
Unfortunately, this game is actually mid. Armored core lite with not enough weight to the mechs you pilot. I must say the music and customization in the game is truly a 10/10, the amount of times I’ll just be sitting there jamming to the menu music or battle music was many, and the customization let me do exactly what I wanted to do with my characters and mech suits which was VERY VERY nice, especially right off the bat. 6/10 overall though
While I ultimately disagree, I respect the amount of thought you put into your explanation, hence the (delayed as hell because of how hard it is to see unread comments nowadays) like and heart
In case you did not know or even care, it has a PC release. For a mouse user and a 508 complacence Lord and Law Hound. I will say this, unlike that pile of feces "New Gundam Breaker", this title allows for full MMO mouse customization and maxing the fps to 165 frames this game is stunning. Not only that but it has a ProtonDB rating of Platinum which means out of the box play on Linux....Bandai take notes. It does feel a bit floaty getting back to ground can take some getting use to. The story is so cliche it ruins the fun of beating the living tar out of AIs, mechs and "ARMFORTS". If they release an xpac I hope they do a better job of story telling. A quality of life update would be nice to turn off the cut screens.
Oh yeah I know the game has a PC port, it just hadn't even been announced by the time this video was uploaded. It was nice to see this game get far more recognition with said port, as not enough Switch owners gave the game a shot

The game looks sick , im def downloading it tonight
Idc abt the ign review or the hate comments , the game has me interested and im gonna play it
Honestly the IGN Review isn’t all that negative, it’s just since it’s not a bigger release there’s less incentive to give it a bloated rating for sales numbers. But yeah it’s a great game and I hope you have a great time with it! 😄
@@BlackbladeYT they gave nba2k20 a higher rating 💀
@@BlackbladeYT also btw great video , absolutely sold me on the game
@@BlackbladeYT dude I just finished the forth level of chapter c AND OMG THAT WAS THE MOST EPIC THING IVE EVER PLAYED
You sold me, lol.
Awesome! Enjoy the game 😁
I am a huge armoured core fan and this game was not good in my opinion. I hated the infinite boost and quickly lost interest.
Is the story good?
In short, not really. Here's a timestamp to where it comes up in the video 10:21 (Still highly worth getting the game overall IMO)
Thank you!
How to get laser
Sadly the technology does not yet exist, but when it does I will get back to you on it
@@BlackbladeYT thankss

This game is very mediocre and painfully easy, even if you love mecha. I can't imagine anybody who doesn't like mecha would remotely enjoy this game. As a part of the switch library i guess the game is fine, but i dont understand why its glowing with hyper positive reviews.. Anyways, i enjoyed this review!
MondayMoustache glad you enjoyed it! Yeah I was surprised when people said the beta was rather difficult, and I haven’t heard anyone say something like that for the full release, but other than a couple sections it was a cake walk. Still a blast though IMO
Overlooked for good reason, its like Armored Core if it was designed a mobile game.
I mean I can’t speak for how it compares to Armored Core, but on its own I thought it made for a fun experience
Overlooked successor😂😂 . No this game is kind of a crap i wasted 20€ on it and it is far from ehat armored core is.
I'm sorry to hear you didn't have fun with it. Good thing AC6 is out now to scratch that itch for ya at least haha
Ahh a code geass fan a man of culture
Indeed. My favorite anime to date...and also the only one I've watched from start to finish lol
Blackblade wow so not really an anime watcher well as someone who has watched hundreds of anime you messed up cause their are some really good ones out their but none on the same level as code geass lol you spoiled yourself and ever since I watched it a while back nothing has come close
@@zommbiekiller Lol gotcha. Yeah I didn't expect anything else would top it for me but so long as I keep my expectations reasonable I should still get a good amount of enjoyment from everything else I see
