Lately, I've been going through a rough patch in my life. Shit's happening everywhere. Also, I've been listening to this song a lot lately, because I love it, but, I didn't use it's lyrics sensibly, meaning as to, as you said, 'me reorient my perspective'. Now that I've read your comment, I've felt a power surge through my body, and every time I hear this song, I will try to use it to forget all the bullshit and get through it all. Its lyrics have a whole new meaning to me now. Thank you.
A lot of ICED EARTHs material with Ripper is a battle cry and words of loyalty all true Americans should live and cry out every single day... Wish he was still with them but now he's doing good with KK and the brothers of the road
@@thepunisher236169 Actually, Glorious Burden was liked by fans as well as critics as one of their best. I am a bigger fan pf Barlow, but maybe the BARLOW ONLY fanboys hated it, but I never heard it was one of their worst.
@@thepunisher236169 The Gettysburg Trilogy was regarded as one of Iced Earth's greatest compositions. The rest of The Glorious Burden is solid. One of the albums generally considered their weakest is The Crucible of Man... that being said, that album still had some killer songs.
ICED EARTH is my favorite heavy-power metal ...... Tim RIPPER Owens definitely held it down during his time with the band. Matt Barlow shall forever remain the heartbeat of Iced Earth. Extremely awesome live song. Tim did a great job at this show
Meine offizielle ICED EARTH Hymne! Wünschte mir daß Ripper bei Part 2 auch noch dabei gewesen wäre! Wenn er auch live nicht so abgeht wie Barlow, seine Stimme im Studio, gerade bei Part 1 war absolut genial. \m/
Forget the singers...they had 5, the 3 principals were Barlow, Stu and Ripper. But try to know how many drummers or lead guitarrist have been in Iced Earth..
@@enriqueramirez8549 but theyre both my fave (ripper and barlow both my favorite) As for why i said that the eyes always the eyes when someone's fucked up im just not gonna say what
Ripper is one of the best singers of all time but never was a great frontman in my opinion. Listening to his banter between songs you would think he sang in a nu-metal band lol.
Horrible! Anyone that references Owens as being the best or greatest metal singer is fucking hallucinating! The absolute best is Dio.....followed by Halford and then Tate and Dickerson. PERIOD!!!!!!
one of my favourite Iced earth songs. I listened to it a lot when I was at my lowest points to help me reorient my perspective

THE RIPPER IS GREAT BUT SO UNDERRATED!!!! :(

Love this song, and Owens sounds fantastic live. The albums Iced Earth did with him as frontman were some of their best work.
IcedEarthaholic Some of their best work? Okay, Framing Armageddon is awesome, but Glorious Burden is popularly regarded as their worst album.

One of the most underrated IE songs, great performance!
Love the energy. RIP has a good voice. The guitars are bright. Nice groove.
Jon sings the chorus with great emotion :`) what a song!!!! what a band!!!

Yeah, and his behavior on the stage is a laughing stock to me. But I fucking love him.
Zero stage pressence, zero cool vibe but the guys rocks, a damn amazing singer
0:35 horse in the crowd
Hahahaha!
I don't believe those vocals by Jon are real
Happy to be proven wrong though. They just sound too perfect and sterile
