Mann this tutorial got me playing/singing along at about 80% within 2 days ! Great video… slow speed really is to key to complex guitar songs! Once I get the chords down to 100% I’ll try to speed it up 😊😊 I also can’t speak the language of the lyrics but I can hum along and say a few stand out words as I go

How important do you feel is anticipation of certain chords? I have read that it is part of authentic common samba guitar rhythms or does the backing rhythm take care of that?
Renato Candro has a great series about what he calls the common samba rhythm and emphasizes that certain chords are anticipated and come early Some call this “pushed”
Very good technique indeed, to be mixed into normal playing. Easy to do the syncopation when chords are not changing across 2 measures but harder when chords are changing. Can sound forced or contrived if used excessively, in my view. Used in the right amounts, it does give Bossa and Samba a nice swing...
