for the record in Japan depending on where you are it's technically not illegal for a student to date a teacher agewise, but it is considered morally wrong mainly due to the teacher having a position of authority and guidance and thus being likely able to groom and influence a student, if the teacher was, for example, a temp teacher or transferred to another school most Japanese people would stop caring about it, hell there are lots of romanticized stories in japan and real ones too, about a student marrying their teacher after they graduate, it's a bit of a genre, spend enough time soaking in Japanese culture and it won't bother you as much. I mean it is a little icky but it's also none of my business 🤷♂
I really wish they had added an extra cutscene in the game. Where it basically showed all Makoto's social links coming to his funeral. Each of them say some kind words before saying their goodbyes. Im not much of a cryer... But if I saw Tanaka for whatever reason break down over Makoto's death id probably end up crying.
FOR REAL. I really wish they’d shown like a tombstone for him too. It would’ve been so much more impactful, deserving, and realistic too. We had an actual cutscene where Shinjiro’s funeral was held. The main protagonist who died saving humanity deserved one too. 😭
I was disappointed to hear there wasn’t anything like that in P3R. One of my favorite moments in P5 was seeing the confidants you maxed out doing whatever they can to help clear Akira’s name. Would’ve liked to see how the social links cope with Makoto’s loss afterward.

This makes me wonder what could've happened if Makoto didn't die? Will we see all s.e.e.s. members able to do what they want to do with him like going on a hike, watching him ride on a motorcycle, learning how to cook, watching things unfold between junpei and chihiro, etc.

I went into reload knowing full well I was going to romance Aigis this time but since I havent played since literally 2011 and I romanced Yukari then... This social link took me by surprise and she's very cute and precious I had to date her and seeing her completely overcome her fears at the end makes me very happy
On Portable I reached her social link to 5, when I saw that she can possibly get mad when being with others I said "Well fuck" and spent time mostly with her
Mitsuru's hurts even more, seeing her organizing and preparing the future for the MC just for him to end up dying hurts, especially knowing her father just passed recently. But on the brightside at least we know Makoto is going to come back in the future franchise.

When we fight with makoto's shadow in FES, we can see his body disintegrate into nothingness. Meaning that it's possible for him to form a new physical body from nothingness, especially when he own the universe arcana. Persona 3 franshise also have the most character with the power of a wild card being Makoto, Aegis and Elizabeth. I hope the upcoming FES gave us 2 ending with an option to go back to the past. Going into the past while Aegis also having the power of a wild card might give us a way to form an alternative universe where Makoto didn't need to seal himself to prevent Erebus from reaching Nyx. Edit: I forgot to mention a possibility that his body might be preserved by the Kirijo company. in the comic Mitsuru can be seen freezing the boys during the hotspring arc even when its not during the dark hour.
Considering how at the end of 4: Arena, Elizabeth obtains the Fool Arcane, Makoto probably will come back. That is quite literally Elizabeths mission and I believe Aigis will join her due to this. However, what we do with Nyx, I have no idea. I don’t think he’ll come back to life per se, but his soul will finally be freed from the burden of protecting humanity for years at this point. Also…. Since he’s metaphorically a representation of Jesus…. Just saying, Jesus came back after 3 days and now on the 6th game Makoto is being brought up again…. 3 games later… just a funny coincidence I noticed 😂

in maruki's reality it's possible that door kun got the happy ending since well nobody is sad means nobody wishes for deaths meaning erebus won't reach nyx and there's no need for him to be in that state.
Chihiro was the one I romanced at the end. And it was basically that scene in 47 Ronin where Kai tells his woman that he will spent 1000 world's worth of time looking for her, and another 1000 afterlifes just to be with her again.

This stuff really does just make the ending all that much sadder After playing the original game all those years ago I kept thinking that they should save the protagonist from his fate, not fully understanding that his body was in fact dead, because I felt like there could have been more with him in the future Seeing as his mortal body is gone if they were to free him I can only imagine his fate would lead him to the velvet room maybe as an attendant or maybe even taking igors seat but that is just my theory
Yuko's was really sad since I watched her couple event and then talked to Akinari's mother. It really hit like a stone because Yuko runs off to study in the library but neither side explicitly says I love you and Akinari's mom says to make sure you tell the people that you love them. It's such a painful reminder of loss. I can think of all the times I blew off my grandmother to study or to hangout with friends instead of go to church or go shopping with her. And thats something Yuko would have to struggle with now for the rest of her life. That one time she left and he dies.
I hope when the answer comes to reload we get a funeral scene or something to show how the non party member social links and characters react to Makoto’s death.

I love they worked the face and mouth animations with the dialogue way better in this game. Hopefully with all DLC we have some media and event viewer like in Golden or, better yet, Royal (Thieves' Den).
I just love her. The fact that she was the first social link character I ever really got into when I first played FES probably has something to do with it for sure, but the way she gets over her insecurity and remakes herself to become so strong at the end (and even further in P4) is actually just great. And the way her story is so damn mundane compared to the supernatural bullshit that goes on during the Dark Hour provides such a nice contrast.
Must've hurt in the girl's hearts saying the last line then run off, unknowing to the girl, that will be the last last words spoken to him and last sight being with him. Tragic.
Y'know as sad as the game made me in some ways I'm glad the manga version had a happy ending (it kinda ruined the theme of P3 but let's not talk about it here..) It helps make some headcanons possible and gives Door-Kun the happiness he deserves

So the clowns understand, Nyx is called by Erebus, MC becomes a seal between the two, Erebus gets defeated and he still acts as a seal between Nyx and the world, he's gonna come back by the simple fact Elizabeth keeps looking for a way to get his soul free out of the seal, mentioned in Persona 4 by Margaret and also by Elizabeth in Arena and legit his ultimate persona is Messiah it's obvious, there's already leaks of DLC for the answer epilogue and most likely something else, we'll see.
Finished this game two days ago, hit like a bag of bricks. What's worse is that I romanced Aigis, so I thought the rooftop scene was just some romantic shit. I had to re-watch the ending twice to figure out what actually happened.

I love they worked the face and mouth animations with the dialogue way better in this game. Hopefully with all DLC we have some media and event viewer like in Golden or, better yet, Royal (Thieves' Den).
I just love her. The fact that she was the first social link character I ever really got into when I first played FES probably has something to do with it for sure, but the way she gets over her insecurity and remakes herself to become so strong at the end (and even further in P4) is actually just great. And the way her story is so damn mundane compared to the supernatural bullshit that goes on during the Dark Hour provides such a nice contrast.
Must've hurt in the girl's hearts saying the last line then run off, unknowing to the girl, that will be the last last words spoken to him and last sight being with him. Tragic.

Y'know as sad as the game made me in some ways I'm glad the manga version had a happy ending (it kinda ruined the theme of P3 but let's not talk about it here..)

So the clowns understand, Nyx is called by Erebus, MC becomes a seal between the two, Erebus gets defeated and he still acts as a seal between Nyx and the world, he's gonna come back by the simple fact Elizabeth keeps looking for a way to get his soul free out of the seal, mentioned in Persona 4 by Margaret and also by Elizabeth in Arena and legit his ultimate persona is Messiah it's obvious, there's already leaks of DLC for the answer epilogue and most likely something else, we'll see.
Finished this game two days ago, hit like a bag of bricks. What's worse is that I romanced Aigis, so I thought the rooftop scene was just some romantic shit. I had to re-watch the ending twice to figure out what actually happened.
