I find Rugops as an amazingly great dinosaur to look at,cause it is a pretty uncommon dinosaur(for the most part ),and would make for a great dinosaur to use in another dinosaur documentary.
I'm really excited for the Monsters resurrected analysis. After over a year of JFC, I'm curious to see how you're going to review other "documentaries". Still more excited for Dinosaur Revolution though, but I'm glad to see people paying attention and taking their time to talk about other documentaries besides WWD. I know that it still hasn't been surpassed in quality but it gets really tiring to hear about the same thing over and over again when paleo documentaries are discussed.
A lot of media depictions of Rugops are oversized, including the Planet Dinosaur one (said to be 8 meters long). Near as I can tell, this might be due to misinterpretations about the size of its head proportionally to its body, as Rugops is now thought to have had a fairly large head while other, better-known abelisaurs have smaller heads (both the PD version and the one in the Eckhar fauna pic have small heads). This seems to be the same reason why early depictions of Pachycephalosaurus in textbooks and such make it out to have been 8 meters long. Also, didn't Africa separate from South America during the late Barremian-early Aptian?
I'm looking forward to seeing you review Monsters Resurrected. Gotta give the show some credit in advance, while definitely an awesomebro show, their depiction of Titanis did the animal much more justice than the Walking with Beasts' Titanis XD It and Prehistoric Predators helped teach me about the true prowess of terror birds, wheres before that I was only familiar with them as giant land vultures.
Nice video! You should probably do more herbivores for these creature profiles. I'd like to see an Apatosaurus video or a Saltasaurus one, or even both. Can't wait for the how you'll improve JFC video!
Good video, Paleo Nerd. I’m always learning new stuff from every video you upload. I can’t wait to hear you cover Monsters Resurrected when that day comes. Any plans to cover Cenozoic mammals for a future Creature Profile?
so body reconstruction of this animal are base on what we know of abelisauridae? (and nice from you to put other original species who will not be feature in any documentary )
Hard life for rugops. They were dwarfed by all the big size dinosaurs of their environment. And still miss the Sarcosuchus Imperator. They had to be very smart to survive
The red snorted dinosaur had a very shiny snout and if you ever saw it you would really saw it glows all of carnosaurus f* him calling him disgusting names and for poor rug ops no allosauroid games. Then one shiny Christmas Eve Paul serno cam to say, rugops with your snout so bright can I study you tonight, all of the carnosaurus loved him, they shouted with glee, rugops the red shouted, your face is too wrinkly
Amazing DinoWorld is a complete trash boat With the including errors: Tyrannosaurus shown to live 70 million years Ago, Tyrannosaurus group hunting which is debatable but probably not, Pronated Wrists for Theropods, Too much feathers on Tyrannosaurus and Tarbosaurus, makes ceratopsians dumb Animals like when Triceratops gets scared by 2 JUVENILE TYRANNOSAURUS and "Pachyrhinosaurus" getting threatened by 3 "troodon", Quadrupedal Spinosaurus, Wrong Head shape for Triceratops, Lacks Lips at every theropod, has theropods roaring, HAS STUPIDOCERATOPS 2.0, Troodon has an valid genus, Tyrannosaurus weighting 6 tons, Shows 2 Tyrannosaurus trying to attack an alamosaurus in the middle of the water instead of going for easier prey, Makes "Troodon" too much inteligent and Even more

I def agree

Why do we think it's head was big?

Rugops needs more love
Rugops (in my opinion) needs to be in more dinosaur documenties
And at least get it look right
Dinosaur King wasn’t just a card game and arcade game. It was also an anime. I remember watching it when I was a kid. Good times.
I’m aware of that, but Rugops didn’t appear in the actual anime.
Paleo Nerd ah, I see.
Paleo Nerd
And not in the DS version too
Ace was my boy
Nice video. Looking forward to the next series reviews.

Absolutely!
Can you make a video about seismosaurus & bravoceratops or saurophaganax
I am happy new video
Since Rugops is one of the dinosaurs used to create Indominus Rex, what are your thoughts on the Indominus?
The premise of a new hybrid dinosaur was interesting, but then it turned out to just be generic theropod #42.
Do you have CuriosityStream, because the only English version of Amazing Dinoworld is in CuriosityStream?
I used to
so body reconstruction of this animal are base on what we know of abelisauridae? (and nice from you to put other original species who will not be feature in any documentary )
Well we now know their bite force was quite strong.
What’s the next list of creatures?
The next three Creature Profiles will be Megalania, Dryptosaurus, and Aerosteon. After that will be another poll to determine the next 4 creatures.
5:01
Number 5 could be Paralititan
Can you do chungkingosaurs
Sure!
This makes me want Rugops to be in Jurassic World Evolution 2.
6:43 The she beast herself
Can I request Zhuchengtyrannus Magnus?
Sure!
*screams in Monsters Resurrected*

Really I didn’t know that terror bird was the first episode of monsters resurrected I thought it was the spinosaurs
Spinosaurus is in episode 3
Oh lol
I thought the same thing as well.
Ariel Nunez so did I.
It doesn’t seem right though
8:01
*Why NHK?*
I was thinking the same thing.
Good vid
Do more creatures in creature profile
Very small
Hi rugops
I don't think Rugops is preserved well enough to give it a spotlight position TBH.
If its jaws are too strong it's the scavenger of its jaws are too weak it's a scavenger if it likes Pepsi instead of coke it's a scavenger
