I worked hard to build 2 houses in Ghana one in Kumasi and one at Aburi in my 20’s. I joined the US Navy in my late 20s to 32 for 5 years and used the VA loan to buy a big house here in the US with zero down payment. So now I have 3 houses in total all set. It’s a great feelings to know that I have house in Ghana and I don’t have to worry about pension. Guys make wise decisions, I took my own advice. Do what makes you feel comfortable. I was told that my decision for building house in Ghana was stupid but it was the best decision I ever made in my 20’s.
I came to the UK in 1992. I have no intention of staying here, but I have purchased my property here outright. I am still young and I am hoping to retire early take my private pension and state pension to build in Ghana eventually by the Grace of GOD.❤
Good idea but by than u might not find any good building to buy anywhere in Ghana so better look for land in ur preferred location and start doing something now!!
I dont agree with what the man said about building in Ghana instead. This is the problem of most Ghanaians and Africans abroad. They spent 30 to 40 years living abroad in a small space. Meanwhile they'll invest in big mansions in Africa. Fact is, we can visit Ghana 3 weeks in a year, so in 30 to 40 years, we wont enjoy the mansions we build home. A smart person will buy a house or apartment abroad. If you use your rent to pay this off in 30 to 40 years, it'll be yor own property. Once you're ready to relocate to Ghana, you can sell and move to Ghana. With much money you can build any house you want.... Delaying you comfort for 30 to 40 years is not wise... Most of the time because of the hardwork people do abroad, the life expectancy is reduced... So within some few years after pension, you'll be gone... Enjoy now, where you spend most of your time.
PLEASE, I would like to add that if you are not Citizens, or hold your Country passport with either leave to remain, indefinite leave to remain or Settlement. You can take your pension before the Retirement age. 😉 ❤
Yeah true. I got my small 5 years of W. German pension benefits paid to me when I left there for good in 1981 for the US. I received the check in the US. Germans are very honest people.
Ah, how do you change your birth date forgetting that it will affect your educational certificates? Are you not going to upgrade professionally for better job? Or it's all about labour jobs without using your academic certificates 🤔🤔This faking of your age may apply to Assylum seekers who might not need their original documents.
this platform is full of peoples personal opinion of life. and someones opinion should not define your reality.Funny enough the old man thinks by coming to ghana He will be able to serve God well.Well he will come and meet modern ghana fake christianity paa. Serving God is not a matter of geographical location oooo .hmm
Living in abroad when you're old is no joke...my mom is going to Ghana for good and I'm extremely happy with her decision

The best option is to have a private pension, where you can retire early, other than state pension.
I love this man’s knowledge

Nice politicians help Ghanaians when they are in trouble abroad, and not make lives difficult in a difficult environment.
My kwahu bruv. Mpraeso gal is here ❤❤❤
Every guest is a teacher here...
You can have houses in both countries, if you can afford it, when you ready to retire your house at abroad will have more equity to take to Ghana
We need part two of this interview
3:42 This man said nothing but the truth about Women. It's very sad though 😮
You sell your property in abroad and buy one in your home country when you retire

This is the most sensible advice on this issue. This advice is not for those with low IQ.
We need part 2

What about if involved in an accident and you can't work to pay for the house. Think about the risks involved also.
@@richardasare5306that is why there's life insurance.
Smart thinking. Why waste money paying for someone's mortgage for 30-40 years?
