Twisted Tongues: The Delightful World of Spoonerisms
Imagine saying "chilled grease" by mistake when you mean "grilled cheese." Or saying "chewing the doors" when you mean "doing the chores." Or a "lack of pies" instead of a "pack of lies." This kind of a slip of the tongue is called a spoonerism. It can be quite funny, albeit unintentionally. Would you like to discover more hilarious spoonerisms? Keep watching for a munch bore, I mean a bunch more. Also find out why they are called spoonerisms. And how Tom Cruise is connected to one of them. But first, if you haven’t already, do subscribe to The English Nut on Facebook, UA-cam, Instagram and X. Thank you.

Interesting word / term - spoonerism. I always thought it was just a slip of tongue. Never knew there's a term for it.

Hi. Love your videos. Could you make a dedicated video on weak forms in English. We, being non-natives aren’t really familiar with it.
