They are my number two team in the swac! Both of these teams flourished under great leadership! Congrats to both teams…the real number 1 and 2 of the dancelines

Why y'all listen to Morgan and don't look at the battles yourself. Jsets were not better than Singettes or GGs all overall this year. EXAMPLE: DOLLs vs GGs, (Dolls had their worst 5th quarter of the year, one really good routine and four terrible mistake prone routines. GGs easily won the battle. What did Morgan do, showed the best Dolls routine and the worst GG routine and ranked the Dolls 4th and GGs 5th for that week. He also did this all year to many teams except the dolls and jsets making them look a lot better than they were.

Love ❤Love the way Laneia plays with formations!!! She never repeats formations and keeps your attention. That was my favorite part of the entire season. Never repetitive. GG's are ALWAYS CLEAN. Knew a game with the GGs would be the battle of the season cuz people thought it was gon be motion vs settes but GGs KNOW how to BATTLE. Loved what both teams gave. Both captains were underrated but they were my picks. I saw the vision😭. I'd miss Makya😭.
It felt like the settes were at a football game and the GGs were on stage. In my opinion ,The GGs rehearse routines and while settes are more organic in the stands. Nonetheless, great job both teams 🩵💙💜💛
You can use rehearsal and organic, however you may, but I think that both squads practiced really hard. The GGs took CENTER stage for the win!!!!! And it is my organic opinion.

As a classically trained dancer and Mississippi native who is very familiar with the style of majorette and has followed all the bands for decades, no team can touch the J- Settes!!! Their creative/ original movements, musicality, formations, sWAG, and cleanliness / togetherness are unmatched- period! They do a great job of continuously elevating/ modernizing the craft while still adding technical elements and keeping the traditions rooted in African / HBCU dance culture. I’m not knocking any of the other squads , all the girls work hard and have history. But congrats to Chloe and Neia for staying the BLUEprint and legendary icons! 🔥 👢 🐯 💙🩵🤍

Intricate and complex- bonus points!!!! If I had to choose from this battle I would give it to the GGs by a hair. This was their best performance all season in my opinion. J Settes showed their asses wvery game and ruled this season hands down being lead by LaNeia who is unmatched. Another great review Morgan.

When you’re a 50 year old team and are considered the “muva’s” you don’t need to copy material VERBATIM…water it down, and do a shoulder check at the end and call it “taking it”. But they did a pretty nice job nonetheless!

GG’s halftime show was definitely different from what i expected from them. I see the dream girls movie comparison! It was cute. Not the biggest fan of the group pausing but still cute!
GG’s did very well and have a well deserved win. But in my opinion this was just a fun game for Settes they have dominated the whole season and are solidified as the top team of the year.

The GGS have to focus on being original and creative. Dissing is cool, but nothing they did was original. Jsettes have been creating all season long. Yall have to realize what Laneia did this season. I never thought I’d ever see the Settes do more stand routines than the GGs. I’m not sure if I like that for them. But I do think they won this battle!
I don’t like that for them. I remember Cailah saying in her interview with Morgan that she had to ask Chloe if they could do one for a particular game. So them doing multiple in multiple games was surprising for me. While their stand routines are creative, I wish they would stray away from them. Battle with the count book.
The ggs definitely had some to prove but JSU takes it for me whopping butt the whole entire season🔥.. I love the ggs BUT they danced sooo hard it seemed messy at moments and it took away the finesse.
She's very noticeable. She doesn't seem to be confident and is always looking around plus she doesn't smile. She is between two powerhouses and which makes it easy to spot her uncertainty. I heard someone in the stands say it looks like she doesn't want to be there. Is it nerves?
@@cavidawilliams811 i think it’s really those first year nerves. especially dealing with the stress of being a first year college student & being in the public eye. and a lot of alumni say it takes a while to fully grasp the style, and she’s had some good moments so we’ll see. judging by social media and bts clips, she seems to be happy and grateful being there. but that’s just me playing devils advocate 🥲
I agree I never wanted to point out her insecurities I always wished they would have switched spots with her and the first girl on the 2nd row. I think she's still in her head a lot and not comfortable in the style. I'm sure it's intimidating dancing between Dej and Lele both came to the squad with built in power and confidence.
Settes for field and Stands. Musicality and performance wise Settes. Definitely a close battle but a few critiques on GGs and it was slightly repetitive with some counts but I still enjoyed. All the posing was too much but good job

I really wanna understand the GG style… their field was very different… Their stands are always high energy but kind of free/wild/raunchy. J-Settes with the easy W for me.
If you want to understand the style. Get the JSettes out of your head. Then start looking at GG vids from 1989-2023. The style has evolved and progressed. It has a Mississippi flavor. But they helped to create the MS style 🤷🏽♂️. They step outside of the box every few years to be innovative and try new things (hence the field show this game).

Yea I was on the fence because it was so close. But I decided to give it to the GGs by a hair. J settes ruled the season without a doubt, and LaNeia is without question the gueen. No other captain was able to top her all season.

I really feel like the GGs, Motion and the Settes are going to come back strong next year because of how solid their crab classes were this year! The GGs took some time but baby they got it now!!! Motion and the Settes are gonna come out swinging for sure…ugh I can’t wait.
This was not a battle for the Jsettes but more of a battle for the GG’s. Both performance was good.

I agree with Morgan the J Settes got the 5th Q & Field and GGs got Zero Q. So to me overall winner J Settes.
When you forgot to tally you gave them a tie when the ggs counts,energy,togetherness and attitude was wayyy better than the jsettes for that round but jsettes is your favs so I see why you gave it a tie but if we’re being fair the score should have been 8-6 ggs way. The GGS have to focus on being original and creative. Dissing is cool, but nothing they did was original. Jsettes have been creating all season long. Yall have to realize what Laneia did this season. She put in work. She was miles ahead of every captain. Let’s be honest. No bias. Let’s just keep it real people! GGs did what they normally do, but Jsettes wowed us all season long.

The GGs are the most creative team on the SWAC what do you mean. Just because the stand routine was similar to the Jsettes doesn’t take away the fact that they outperform any team. With the GGs, you’re always entertained.

I never thought I’d ever see the Settes do more stand routines than the GGs. I’m not sure if I like that for them. But I do think they won this battle!
I don’t like that for them. I remember Cailah saying in her interview with Morgan that she had to ask Chloe if they could do one for a particular game. So them doing multiple in multiple games was surprising for me. While their stand routines are creative, I wish they would stray away from them. Battle with the count book.
They only did 3 stand routines while the GGs did like 4

The ggs definitely had some to prove but JSU takes it for me whopping butt the whole entire season🔥.. I love the ggs BUT they danced sooo hard it seemed messy at moments and it took away the finesse.
Jak and Neia took it this season. But momma next to Dej up front is KILLING ME all season! It's like she's just not into the style like that!
And being next to her makes it THAT much more noticeable. Chloe knew what she was doing. She said, “Show out or everyone will notice that you aren’t.”
She's very noticeable. She doesn't seem to be confident and is always looking around plus she doesn't smile. She is between two powerhouses and which makes it easy to spot her uncertainty. I heard someone in the stands say it looks like she doesn't want to be there. Is it nerves?

@@cavidawilliams811 i think it’s really those first year nerves. especially dealing with the stress of being a first year college student & being in the public eye. and a lot of alumni say it takes a while to fully grasp the style, and she’s had some good moments so we’ll see. judging by social media and bts clips, she seems to be happy and grateful being there. but that’s just me playing devils advocate 🥲
I agree I never wanted to point out her insecurities I always wished they would have switched spots with her and the first girl on the 2nd row. I think she's still in her head a lot and not comfortable in the style. I'm sure it's intimidating dancing between Dej and Lele both came to the squad with built in power and confidence.

Settes for field and Stands. Musicality and performance wise Settes. Definitely a close battle but a few critiques on GGs and it was slightly repetitive with some counts but I still enjoyed. All the posing was too much but good job
This season was by far the the best I’ve ever seen since Brianni. Princess ate this whole season. Great job all year ladies

This is the comment! There’s a difference between preparing for battle, and trying to have a viral moment. If you don’t use the entire team until the very end, I would expect nothing less than greatness! Which we got! But I just think this review was based on this one performance and not consistency. I’m sorry but for me the jsettes won by being clean alone. Although it was a lil hiccup when Layah messed up they were still clean …GGS AWESOME job as well but they can get a lil wild when hitting counts too hard . Both teams did an awesome job love me some Jak and Neia, it was Jsettes year this Season!!

Their stands are always high energy but kind of free/wild/raunchy.

If you want to understand the style. Get the JSettes out of your head. Then start looking at GG vids from 1989-2023. The style has evolved and progressed. It has a Mississippi flavor. But they helped to create the MS style 🤷🏽♂️. They step outside of the box every few years to be innovative and try new things (hence the field show this game).
