- It was SO difficult to chose between higher and lower pitch ...
I went with this one because it was my first idea, and it suits the boss fight in my opinion !

That utter shock when he stood up, told you he's gonna fuck you up, then the boss bar appears, and your blood just stops for a moment "The First Hunter".
This game changes a man
All he wants is to free you from the wretched hunters dream thinking a sad broken man as himself doesn't deserve freedom

Then the overwhelming music. I was trying so hard not to tear up in front of my friend who had already beaten it like 5 times. The first time was orgasmic. Even better if you fight him in full yarghul and moonlight sword. Adds to the whole thing
When you think about it, this fight is about two people trying to grant mercy to the other.
The Master wishes to protect his student from the pain he has suffered for so long.
The student wanting to free their master from his eternal curse.
But really, it doesn't even matter.
If we lose, Gehrman is doomed to continue to send hunters to their death.
If we win, all that happens is we take his place, claim his torment as our own.
Either ending is horrible, yet still we are forced to choose one of the two.
Um no, you can go with the third ending where you free gehrman and are not taking his place....
Or just choose the third ending and become squid lol
Or u can spare yourself the torment and lift humanity to her next childhood and make gherman rest in peace
You can become a Great One, but young... it doesn't matter, All ways are sad, you leave your humanity to become a monster, in bloodborne "good end" don't existe.
Or you can seek Paleblood and transcend the Hunt, kill Gehrman, kill Moon Presence, and became a Great One yourself.
Dear oh dear, what was it, was it the night, the hunt, or the horrible dream? Oh, it doesn't matter. It always comes down to the huntwr's helper to clean up after these sorts of messes.

yo when he got off the wheel chair i yelled "WHAT? YOU LIED TO ME" and my friends started chuckling, when the chior came on i got so captivated, like holy fuck the chior really made the difference for phase 2

Matthew McClain , well the orphan did the same after what i know from his lore the dlc gave me depression in lore but it still awesome to play
from is legendary with their music, if yoy have played sekiro you know demon of hatred has a pretty sad sounding theme to it while remaining intense

This is one of the most emotional and epicness theme song and qoute from the boss fight that make me chills up and depressing ....

I imagine you wouldn't be fighting him alone. He worked closely with Maria. They'd be a dual boss back in that era.

The thing about soulsborne games is that you always face enemies who are already so weak and old and their prime is long gone. Otherwise you would not stand a single chance, in neither of these games. Imagine fighting Gwyn in his youth. Imagine fighting Nameless King when he was still a god of war. About Gehrman, not a coincidence his scythe-sword is named 'burial blade'.
It's too powerful. You'll make the greatest boss of all time
This is great. Certainly adds to the depressed feel with sinister undertones the fight conveys, seeing as Gehrman doesn't wish to fight you, yet can and will. Great job, as always.
I have always been faceted in fights like this.

are there any others who don't want to fight the protagonist in the souls-borne series?
It's even worse because Gehrman doesn't want to kill you, he just doesn't want you to go through what he has, he knows that if you die you'll wake up back in the real world and live a somewhat normal life. The hunter is not aware of that though and fights back in self defense
man ive put like 1000 hours in this game and beat Gehrman more times than I can count on my fingers but ive never taken the time to properly listen to the OST for this boss. This is amazing

now that you mention it, Everygame in the Souls series is about an olders generation trying to keep the new generation from being themselves, and in the end you got to kill the old man in a sad song.

I really wish if you did the ending where you take ghermans place in ng+ you had to fight gherman but he had your armor on
I legitimately love this boss. FromSoft has a habit of kinda shoddy ending bosses, but the entire game you're constantly shown how cruel and terrible a hunter's life is, and you're told that this guy was the first - no fancy gadgets, no trick weapons at first, no armor, no hope of survival - and yet here he is, First Hunter Gehrman, the grim reaper, the end of the dream. There are no old men in this world - but there's a reason he's so ancient.
And you have to kill him. Alone.
Gives me serious Gael vibes with that "Remember that I am old for a reason" theme.

+User Name You see, nightcore is a type of remix where no notes are changed but the pitch is altered high OR low, sometimes not much, sometime a STUPID amount. It kinda became its own thing after a while.

Even though it's so late but not really here's some i would really love to hear and see these done right!: the one reborn, dark beast paarl, amygdala, shadow of yharnam. Really I love what you've done from ds all the way to bb and man those variations are stellar and if we'd hear this in game that adds another deep and dark emotion to alot of the fights, but I digress I really would like to see variations on those 4 themes if you could. I really love everything you've remade and I hope with later fromsoft titles you keep this up!
