@@jackdonohue7893 The film was shot in VistaVision with the intention of screening 70mm prints of it, so I'm guessing it'll have the IMAX release, just maybe not everywhere. Plus A24 is currently trying to up their game with bigger productions to maintain their smaller auteur movie profile (Civil War had a worldwide IMAX release). This seems like a huge awards contender so I wouldn't be surprised if it falls into the same category. And let's not forget that basically every movie can have an IMAX release; that's basically what the company was built on: showing movies shot in a regular format on a giant screen.
@@jackdonohue7893 What a shame
Not IMAX. It’ll get limited 70mm screenings.
Adrien Brody is back at the top and it makes me so happy. He's one of my favorite actors.
Same I mean he's had a pretty successful career in entertainment but it's nice to see him back in the awards circuit
I like him too. He's fab. He looks like a really kind person. I think he did great in King Kong with Naomi Watts. Is the movie good?
@miryana79 I watched it recently it was ok not to mention very offensive with all the stereotypes of the indigenous people on the island and also way too long Naomi and Adrien really carried the movie in my opinion but it definitely could have been half an hour shorter lol
The trailer shows the monumentality of the film very well. I saw it in Venice and can't wait to see it again.
I have no idea what this is about......
But you had me at Adrien Brody..
Same here and of course he didn’t disappoint. Monumental indeed, from the trailer to the credits.
Now that's a trailer. It shows the beauty in the cinematography, the intensity of an epic and just enough of the score to evoke emotion. Perfection.
The best teaser ever!!! Wow ❤❤❤
Ive been waiting for an Adrien Brody comeback for years, man... looks like this might be it
Read the story. So pathetically boring and gae
He’s been in most Wes Anderson stuff. Never left
@ I am aware
I smell Potential Oscar again for “Brody” probably.
0:38. Bro, this shot and this whole trailer man. Already deserves an Award. No more trailers👍🏾
Saw this at Venice. It was Premier and this was screened by 70mm film I guess. I can't forget TREMENDOUS Opening sequence.
Read the story. So pathetically boring and gae
Congratulations on your first Golden Globe, Adrien! 👏
Do you mean for The Pianist
@8ohm1 lol I meant Gloden Globe. Good catch
It's nice to see a trailer edited by people who love movies enough to put in more than the barest minimum of effort.
The trailer format is BRUTALLY AWESOME! astonishingly creative
'astonishingly creative'
Hipsters are insufferable
@@Ebmjoker21 Idk, I find people that complain about other people's word choice even more insufferable
0:50 They had Fortnite dances back then?…
A24 saw what Neon was doing with their trailers and were like "hold my beer"
oh look, a trailer that isn't generic paint-by-numbers! Thanks for this.
Saw this 10 days ago at NYFF and I’m still thinking about it. Can’t wait to watch this again and again. Favorite film of the year.
Its really that good?
@@BrandonsOutdoors I believe so. It’s just that film is digestible, but you definitely need more than one watch to get the whole picture.
This score is fantastic, there needs to be an oscar category for trailers now lmao
Haven't seen this yet but Brady Corbet will finally get the recognition he deserves
and the Oscar for absolutely everything goes to... The Brutalist
Brady Corbet came such a long way, from being in Mysterious Skin, Thirteen and Funny Games then kinda vanished from acting to write and direct a movie with Oscar buzz and being Top 2 at the odds to win Best Director, wow 👏🏻
His previous directorial efforts Vox Lux and especially Childhood of a Leader were great.
They need an academy award for best film trailer honestly.
Well done Adrien Brody...another Oscar!!
I love how this movie won some awards and people in the comments are weirdly upset at it because they themselves have never heard of it
A one minute trailer for a 3 1/2 movie is diabolical
Lmaoooo
this is one of the most nonsensical comments I've ever read. and I've seen some nonsense
Do you need more to want to see the movie?
At the same time, it gives you a glorious glympse of what it promises!
I’m sure the movie is longer than three and a half minutes
There is some award buzz behind this and I hope Guy Pearce gets a nomination if not an award because he is so underrated but an excellent actor. He deserves it
I have always adored him! He is amazing in the part of Andy Warhol, in Memento and as a cannibal in Ravenous . It's a pitty he has always been underrated!
@@MonalisaCerrutti the guy is a great actor. Even in the small roles like Mildred pierce or the road or the kings speech. He is good and he deserves recognition for his talent.
Wow. The goosebumps in my body are all over and they're unbearable. I never felt this level of excitement over a trailer/film since The Fall (2006). I'm sat!
I praise the Celluloid Gods for ensuring there is still someone left in Movieland who knows how to make a Trailer.
Incredible trailer. Showcases some vague notion about what it is about leaving you intrigued, but in full splendor showcases some fantastic cinematography. I really want to see this in cinema. Wow.
Perfect trailer, styly font intro, then just enough information to leave you wanting more, A24 you've hooked me
Adrien Brody is coming for another Oscar
So happy to see Adrien Brody back!!! He deserved more lead roles after The Pianist!!!!
Yo, this is the best and unique trailer cut I've seen.
I just came from the AMC …he’s brilliant . Long movie, but excellent 👏👏👏
It will be so nice to see Brody and Jones return to the Oscars after so long 😮
Really miss seeing Brady Corbet in front of the camera, but looks like he doing just find behind it. Excited for this!
from The Pianist now The Brutalist , im sold
@vanithajothi7119 the only reason it'll win anything is because it's about a jew
I'm waiting for the final film in the trilogy... The Nudist
Waiting for Brody`s second Oscar so much. I think he`s deserve it. Absolutely mesmerizing transformation talent
Feels like Paul Thomas Anderson's type of movies, and I read it's like 200 minutes long.
Sounds very intriguing.
Well i hope compared to PTA films which has mostly dysfunctional characters (which seems to be his staple) lets hope this actually tugs at our hearts & soul for how a holocaust survivors life & his american dream to realise his architectural dreams in America will actually be like! And i bet this will be more gripping than more excessively flawed yet relatable characters PTA does(which is my favourite and also my most annoying thing about PTA in general).
This is the best trailer I’ve seen in a long long time! And that score!!! I’m sold. It’s playing in 70mm near me too 😮
This a trailer. We don’t need to know the plot, we just need to gain a sense of what we’re in for, the tone, the vibe. It looks immaculate
It looks clean?
No, this isn't a trailer. Trailers convey a story. This is what is known as a "teaser". Because it "teases" an idea without the story. There is no plot in this.
It looks basic.
@@AllThingsFilm1 trailers are teasers… the problem is that some trailers have basically become short films, giving away massive plot points which negatively affect the cinema going experience. All trailers should be as vague as this one
it looks boring and about the ugliest art. are people nuts on this page? Faking it? Brutalist art is ugly bu tit seems people love brutalist art here? People are raving about the type.. why? it's just a design we've seen millions of times... the show kind of looks boring and pretentious ad political... are people political? is that why? is this just about politics? Political people never like beauty or art.
Guy Pearce never lets me down
The typography is insane.
Saw this trailer at the theaters yesterday, and this is a great trailer, it tells you nothing about the film, but the images along with music and title cards with well known actors who are good sells it very well.
Whatever this is doesn't matter to me as much as how amazingly perfect and new this trailer is. The design of trailing text with barely showing anything in the film but also leaving us with an understanding of what is to come, something familiar.
Imagine if the three acting category Oscar wins goes to The Brutalist actors
Adrien Brody (Best Actor, his second in the category)
Felicity Jones (Best Supporting Actress)
and Guy Pearce (Best Supporting Actor)
I would absolutely love to see that 🙌
if that happens I will let my bro Steve pump me
Have you even seen the film? I find it hilarious how much you guys care about the Oscars. I don't even think people in the business cares as much about it as you guys in the youtube comment section does.
If that happens I will let my bro Steve pump me
@@basquat76 Okay so? You got a problem? I don't always agree with the Oscars winners but playing prediction is always a lot of fun. If you really don't care, fine then, no one is forcing you anyway
@@Erasureeraser I'm so feed up with you shallow award loving people filling up comment sections. You care more about awards then actual movies. Go away!
Cinema. Pure and simple. Thank God.
Adrien Brody in a time piece? Sign me up💪🏾🔥
seeing this in 70mm was a great start to a new year of movies
If someone told me that this was the movie Coppola shot using his own money and initiative, I'd believe him
Adrien Brody + anything = masterpiece
This looks incredible, definitely one for the big screen!
Looks boring as shit
Only few words were said, and yet, here's one of the best trailers of the year!
Never seen a trailer being presented like this before. That’s an achievement on its own.
Now this trailer, this, is a game changer. Bravo.
Usually "Monumental" is just a buzz word that people throw around for anything that even remotely tries to go beyond the expected scale of today's movies. Just from this trailer I can tell this is different. This actually feels as massive as they're saying. And the fact that it was made for 10 million dollars? If you gave me 10 million just to recreate this trailer i would probably have to ask you for more. Brady Corbet might be him.
This looks EPIC. Cannot wait to experience it on the big screen.
The graphic design is pure art.
Saw this at CIFF, one of the best films I’ve seen in my life
I dig the teaser's format, it's different and it doesn't give away the plot.
