Fun fact that we won’t be able to see because Bowser doesn’t fight any more regular enemies: if the head of a Dark Mechawful remains around for a turn (which can only happen on the top floor where multiples show up in a group), they won’t just make a new body, they’ll make an upgraded body: Dark Mechawful.5. They get grey armor and spiky ball hands, I believe boosted stats, but the main change is that their countdowns will scramble midway through their attacks, so you’ll have to count down the attacks yourself The heads themselves have a small chance of dropping A-OK Wear. To be fair considering Bowser doesn't use Magic at literally any other point in this game, possibly in this entire RPG series, I can see why they opted to drop him using Magic in this game. Kinda leaves you wondering why he doesn't just magic all his enemies to death.

Chugga, the new body that is summoned by the Dark Mechawful is slightly different. If allowed to be summoned, its chest will have a gate/hatch and a slightly more metallic looking design. When the Mechawful uses its timer, the hatch will close midway through so you have to count on your own to avoid its attacks.
17:47 Something that I have noticed while watching this LP: this voice line is an extremely garbled voice line of Bowser saying "I RULE!" I have never paid any attention to it, thinking it's just him roaring a bit. It may be common knowledge and I was just never perceptive enough to notice it.
Sadly it seems just a roar that reaally sounds like it but I remember Kenny James saying in an interview that Nintendo only has given him 4 words to say in all those years of him being the role of Bowser. *Nintendo, Mario, Peach and Showtime!* the rest are mostly Bowser roars that still shows a lot of personality thanks to the range tones he provides. Sad roars angry roars happy roars triumphant roars you name them! Although we can see that here Bowser also get's a lot of use of his *"Nooooo!"* yelling I guess that's an extra understandable sound of his.
I’m really gonna miss -Emile’s dad- Tim showing up for us. He’s already really fun to have around. He’s always made me feel like I’m playing games with my dad, even since watching his PvZ playthrough back in 2010.

Fun Fact: If you let the Dark Mechawful rebuild his body into the Dark Mechawful.5 in the Remake, You get a piece of equipment for its rare item drop. The equipment piece in particular is the Power Fangs X. One of the best pieces of equipment in the game, especially if you're going for an all power build for Bowser. I got it on my first try in the remake because I had an equipment piece that lets me get the rare item drop guaranteed after defeating enemies as Bowser. I don't know if its like that in the original because I would never go for it because of how much RNG it is to get the rare item drop in that version. If anyone who wants to respond to prove that, Please do. Because I'd never tried it in the original.
The drop rates for the Power Fangs X are as follows: Dark Mechafwul (original): 0.25% Dark Mechawful.5 (original): 1% Dark Mechafwul (remake): 0% Dark Mechawful.5 (remake): 10%
@DefinitivNichtSascha Ahh, I See. Thanks for the information. So getting the Power Fangs X in the original is damn near impossible. Man, I wish there was a piece of equipment that lets you get the rare item from enemies in the original. Makes it so easy to get the equipment that you really want to get instead to relying on RNG.
I'm honestly disappointed Bowser never got to keep Broggy in Dream Team. And no, I did not know is was an Animal Crossing reference you said near the end.
Fun fact to those who are wondering what item Emile is talking about that the dark mechawfuls drop. They are the Power Fangs X, which raise attack by 20%, they have a SHOCKINGLY low drop rate at 0.25% chance, going up to 1% chance of you let the head rebuild the dark mechawful into it's .5 version. If you are lacking in money, the dark mechawful heads have a 0.5% chance of dropping the A-OK wear, yes, if you are lucky and persistent enough, you don't even have to bother with money for the strongest overalls in the game.
....Why and how would you EVER be lacking in money in this game? You can see that even after buying A-OK wear, Gumption Sockets, and the Tight Belt in the Star Store, Emile is OVER 40K Coins!
@@Sonario648 Junker is level 25. The remake explicitly shows his level. The developers intended Mario & Luigi to be like level 26 at most after fighting him.
I actually have insight into the Skill issue term, it gained popularity after World of Warcraft game director Ion Hazzikostas Said that the top players way more damage than the average person was a "Skill Issue" (he was correct).
I hope you show what happens if the dark mechawfuls do summon a new body at some point. It's hard to do so bc you need to get them out of their shell but then avoid killing the other enemies for long enough for them to summon it but it is worth it imo. The new body's attacks are actually slightly more challenging and I believe it has increased stats as well. Not sure if it drops extra xp or not.
Magikoopa Mob is the most fun challenge of the whole lot of them. Tracing the lines and working out your accuracy is super satisfying and…you people just scribble? I…had no idea that worked. Well that kinda puts a damper on things. I do it the legit way and it’s the most satisfying to get properly done in this game. This is my favorite Bowser attack
Honestly, I've been confused by some actions of enemies having been missed this LP - Calorites can convert Tenderlings into more Calorites, while Dark Mechawful heads summon stronger bodies given the chance (outside Bowser). These do seem to be due to te enemies being beaten/inhaled/etc. quickly enough that they don't get a chance to do them - is this deliberate? (There may be more I'm forgetting to mention here) I have been enjoying this series nevertheless.
Yeah...im just gonna be brutally honest...Broggy is bowsers best attack. And its not even a contest. 1 enemy?'demolished? Multiple enemies. Not so much..bosses? No chance. Broggy...BREAKS combat for bowser. Also yes. Get tim on wheel of fortune..thats gonna be awesome
Don't do circles on the Magikoopa Mob, do back and forth scribbles. With circles, you're just going to go around the wands and you're way more likely to miss than with back and forth motions.
...I didn't think Magikoopa Mob would still work so well if you drew so much in excess. I mean, challenges where you have to time button presses would punish you for mashing, so it's not exactly an unreasonable expectation. But man, that would have made things SO much easier, if I knew that...
The equipment that’s only *potentially* dropped by bosses (that you can only fight once) is one of the few things I personally dislike about the Mario & Luigi series as a whole. Thankfully, Brothership I THINK has them now always drop, which I’m quite happy about.
Personally. I don’t dislike any of the special attacks of Bowser but its honestly a tie between Magikoopa Mob and Broggy Bronker because of how easily you can do the action commands and regardless of if people like or dislike them, the fact that all of them feel so military coded is so heartwarming and of course Mario is dead the moment Bowser reaches level 30 and someone has said it before but screw the Daredevil boots, yes the power boost is a good trade but what’s honestly the point if you’re not good at dodging and maybe its just my opinion but I honestly prefer the special attacks of Bowser’s more than anything from Mario and Luigi. And one of the superbosses (x version) is one we have yet to see, lol!!! 😂
The challenge videos with tim have easily been the best part of this series and honestly the whole channel. I hope Tim can be apart of more videos in the future, even if a little sporadically.
You're not entirely correct about the Dark Mechawful. This version of the enemy actually spawns in a different form of the body that has stronger attacks.
Anytime I would play this game, I never made the connection that blitty meant Block Kitty and thought they were puppies. watching this series is where I made the connection, because you basically spelled it out for me
considering that the spessies of cat is called ablitty from block and kitty, and broggys name comes from Block and doggy does that mean broque has named his dog dog effectivly?
Since Chugga is not mentioning it, I believe you get more xp for bowser by letting the dark mafulls summon a new body, but they are MUCH faster and will change the timing of their attacks and do more damage so it's risk reward situation. Each one can only summon one new body so once you take one out don't bother waiting from what I've seen.
Something you havent shown off yet, Chugga if you let a Dark Mechawful's head stick around when theres 2 or more enemies, they'll build them selves a new, stronger body in addition to higher stats, their countdown malfunctions after a bit making it harder to time their attacks
12:45 Another unforgivable change in the remake is that they removed the sound effects that the Blitties make every time they hit an enemy. Only the last one to follow makes the sound
Magikoopa's is free, but not THAT Free imo. Still gotta try a little bit. Koopa Korps is the hardest one from experience. 9:06 100000 coins have been spent! 10:55 Pairs REALLY well with the Drumstick Ring! (May eat a Drumstick at the start of your turn) 12:30 REMAKE! Bowser throws soap on Broggy before scrubbing. 13:45 A new POWERFUL Body. Attacks get fasters, seconds gets scrambled after a second or two.(Example : Starts at 3, can start to scramble at 2, making you count your seconds or just guess) And you also get more EXP when fighting them to. They also DROP more stuff when they get their Dark Mechawful X Body. 18:32 THE BITE OF '87?!...IN DAMAGE 21:00 Bowser's Max Rank would be here in the Remake. They lowered Max ranks to level 30. You would also get every Rank Up Bonus at this rate to.
huh, that's actually a nice change considering there's no way in hell you'll be level 40 without grinding. do you still get the rewards after the final boss? intruder fangs would be handy against the next boss coming up.
That one last Blitty that shows up at the end of Broggy Bonker is always amusing. Definitely my favorite of Bowser’s attacks. Not sure if this is a me thing, but in the remake, it felt more difficult to scrub enough of the dirt off of Broggy to get an excellent. Progress Report: N/A
I don’t think it has been mentioned but the dark mechawful’s can get a special, more powerful body if given a chance. I want to say The timer on its chest will go away after a bit leaving it up to the player to remember how long until the robot either launches a punch or stops it laser attack.
I swear this must be one of, if not, the best gameplay of BIS i ever seen, i knew hitting the sub all the way back on phantom hourglass gameplay was the right choice
Dark Mechawfuls actually get a DIFFERENT body, with double the chances for items! 4.75% to 9% for Star Candy (kinda doubled, yeah?) and...A...0.25% to...0.5% for...The equipment... *AAAAAA-*
I know this is off topic, but we got a new Okami game announced… so Emile, if there is a feather sword… do an entire play though with the feather sword… it’s for Chibi not getting a feather sword
Roulette fail count: 15 I'm going to miss "With our MiIIinnds" So, Tim is finally going to try for Wheel, huh? Hope he does get on and dominates! And oh crud, it's the Pachinko challenge from Sunshine all over again...
The best way I found to use Broggy is to hold the DS diagonally, and scribble vertically or horizontally (I don’t remember which, it’s been a while since I played)
So I've been playing the remake alongside the original while watching this letsplay, that ledge in dimble wood from last episode that looks like it should have something there but doesn't? they fixed that in the remake and put the ironclad shell there, ALSO sock ops give you ten coins in the remake and five in the original when killed with Bowser, which is probably why you remember them giving ten. ALSO ALSO. The exp socks give you DOUBLE exp instead of 1.3x. On my current save i've just got to peaches castle as Bowser, Mario is level 36 and Luigi is level 29. The buff they gave those damn socks is crazy.
Dark Mechawful is my favorite Mario and Luigi enemy in the series, it love its other form, and its head and new form foreshadows Fawful later in the game, while also having amazing and really fun attacks and amazing designs, also being based on Fawful, my favorite video game villain ever, so thats also awesome! ^^
Koopa korps does a lot of damage if you do it correctly It does more damage than Bob-omb blitz and almost as much as magikoopa mob for less sp It also does more damage than shy guy squad against a single enemy
@chuggaaconroy When Bowser destroys a Dark Mechawful and leaves the ejecting head alone for a few turns, the head becomes a Dark Mechawful.5, gaining a new metal body
I think it’s worth mentioning and showing in the video, but Dark Mechawful heads will regenerate a new body called a Dark Mechawful.5, which has increased atk, def and spd, but also has entirely unique attack patterns where the timer can go haywire, forcing the player to keep track of that
01:24 Just tracing over it with a single line works well enough. You can still scribble around after that. 09:26 40% on a Star is correct. 12:01 Nah, that boss is a bit away still. 13:46 The new body it summons is also actually a new one. The enemy then becomes called Dark Mechawful.5 (Dark Mechawful 1.5 in the European version), which has a new sprite, higher POW, DEF and SPD, and attacks that are harder to dodge due to the timer on its chest disappearing after a bit. Their chance of of dropping the Power Fangs X is also four times higher than regular Dark Mechawfuls'. They're also the only enemy to drop them in the remake, as regular Dark Mechawfuls don't anymore. 15:12 I think the main appeal of the Restore Ring is actually the 3SP recovery. Paired with the Minion Band SP, you recover 7SP each turn, effectively giving you Goomba Storm for free and making Shy Guy Squad cost only 1SP. It'll also really quickly restore your SP if you punch or breathe fire during regular battles. 19:42 To be fair, the enemies in this game have some ridiculously low drop rates. The Power Fangs X on the Dark Mechawfuls are a 0.25% drop, making it a 1 in 400 chance. That's worse than EarthBound. They did up drop rates in the remake, though.

most of the knots are gone by that point, meaning all that's left is the soothing rub to release the tension of the assault prior. XD
17:47 Something that I have noticed while watching this LP: this voice line is an extremely garbled voice line of Bowser saying "I RULE!" I have never paid any attention to it, thinking it's just him roaring a bit. It may be common knowledge and I was just never perceptive enough to notice it.
Always thought he was going "COOOOOOL!"
@@RebelliousTreecko Could be. It's open to interpretation.
…I thought it was just a normal roar. Now that I’ve read that, I can actually hear it. Thanks for ruining it for me, bud! 🤣
I am not sure if he really says that or it is a case of selective hearing, like 'So long, gay Bowser'.
Bowser finally gets his full arsenal of attacks.
Meaning that every special attack in the game is now unlocked.
And finally no more special attack challenges!!!
Surprised there are no minion squads for Boos and Dry Bones, even though NPCs of them exist in this game like all the other minions.
@@moviemaker199 Yeah, that's a bit of a shame, but also understandable since there's already so many special attacks between Bowser and the Bros.
Fun fact: Now that Broggy is a part of the squad, if you check into one of Brocks block stores, he’ll mention it from now on.
Of course Tim leaves the Bowser's Inside Story Let's Play by going to the bathroom. What an icon🔥
The Magikoopa Mob challenge is the game's way of saying sorry for making Bomb-omb blitz difficult and mind-boggling to play lol
I’m really gonna miss -Emile’s dad- Tim showing up for us. He’s already really fun to have around. He’s always made me feel like I’m playing games with my dad, even since watching his PvZ playthrough back in 2010.

Goomther: This castle just never ends. Was this designed by Peach or Fawful?
Kathie: I have no idea, but this place gets creepier every minute.
Bonnie: Not to mention those Bob-omb treadmills returning from Bowser's Castle. What a sick twisted man sending those guys to die.
Marni: You're telling me. I had to listen to his rambling all the while I was stuck here, so I'm glad to have gotten out for a while.
Shawn: Even if it meant having to do a back massage?
Marni: Actually, it wasn't that bad. Pretty simple all things considered.
Goomther: How lucky for you.
Kathie: If you knew the pain we went through for that lady, you wouldn't be so happy.
Bonnie: Just be glad we never have to see that girl again.
Shawn: I could probably do for another visit.
Goomther, Kathie, and Bonnie: ... *grab Shawn*

Goomther: Hey, Broggy. Here's a chew toy for you!
Broggy: BROOF!

Shawn: Ok, ok. I'll shut up about Broque Madame. Just never let me see the insides of a block dog again.
Goomther, Kathie, and Bonnie: Good.
Marni: Hey, King Bowser. You alright?
Bowser: Yeah, of course. I've got my army back, alongside a new companion. I've torn through this castle in search of Fawful, Peach, and the Dark Star. Now I'm ready to finally put fist to face!
Marni: I have no doubt in my mind that we will succeed. We're your soldiers to command.
Bowser: That's what I like to hear. Let's end this fight, once and for all!
Goomther: GOO-RAH!
Bonnie: BOOM-RAH!
Kathie and Marni: KOO-RAH!
Shawn: ... shoo-rah...

The castle is crawling with enemies, statues, and mechanisms to keep intruders out. It's a good thing Bowser is on our side for this adventure. I just hope we're not too late. If Fawful breaks the seal around the Dark Star, the Mushroom Kingdom is doomed.

Bowser: _Yeeeep._

Marni: What’s the big deal?
Kathie: You’ll see. It’s that vision you said you saw.
Bonnie: And what we tried to warn you about. I don’t DARE want to EVER do her a favor again!
Bowser: _Aaaalright,_ my troops. We’re detouring to Broque Madame’s house. Marni, you and your squad are up.

Broggy: ROOF BROOF!
Blitties: [Meow! Meow!]
Bowser: If that’s the case, and if they can prove to me they can put up a fight, so be it. We’re gonna need all the help we can get to defeat Fawful. Now then, to Peach’s Castle!
The drop rates for the Power Fangs X are as follows:
Dark Mechafwul (original): 0.25%
Dark Mechawful.5 (original): 1%
Dark Mechafwul (remake): 0%
Dark Mechawful.5 (remake): 10%
@DefinitivNichtSascha Ahh, I See. Thanks for the information. So getting the Power Fangs X in the original is damn near impossible. Man, I wish there was a piece of equipment that lets you get the rare item from enemies in the original. Makes it so easy to get the equipment that you really want to get instead to relying on RNG.
Hopefully we get an actual episode of Wheel of Fortune with Tim as a contestant
I'm honestly disappointed Bowser never got to keep Broggy in Dream Team. And no, I did not know is was an Animal Crossing reference you said near the end.
That would be a long ass walk tbh.
@@Sonario648 Exactly the reason I question why they chose to make the dark mechawful heads SPECIFICALLY drop A-OK Wear at a 0.5% chance.
@@Sonario648 Yeah, but Emile is also like 8 levels overlevelled and has done the 99-Block which most people don't bother with, I'd say.
@@DefinitivNichtSascha 8 levels overleveled? *chuckle* I think I was like, level 48 I think.
@@Sonario648 Junker is level 25. The remake explicitly shows his level. The developers intended Mario & Luigi to be like level 26 at most after fighting him.
Tim being on Wheel of Fourtune would be a dream come true! Hopefully we see a clip of it in UA-cam!
You all know the rules!
All Rubber Baby Broggy Bonkers must be beaten senseless by every able-bodied person in the bar!
That’s right! So who did it??
The strategy for endless for Magikoopa Mob is essentially how you also win Speedy Graffiti from Mario Party 8 lol
I actually have insight into the Skill issue term, it gained popularity after World of Warcraft game director Ion Hazzikostas Said that the top players way more damage than the average person was a "Skill Issue" (he was correct).
The conclusion of the bet is very wholesome, and it's been a great time having Tim on board.
The best ability in the game ever. Broggy
Like I said before, I liked Magikoopa Mob and Magic Window a little more
@andrewvanover9747 for me, broggy and falling star. I like magic window, and for me, magikoopa mob was okay for me
I've been so busy and felt hella crappy I swear I find myself staring at the clock to hit 5:00 when I want to see a new episode thanks Emile. 😊
You arent the only one dude, i feel like crap as well
Get well soon to both of you.
New Chuggaaconroy video as I finish peeling my Hard Boiled Eggs? (Perfect Afternoon Breakfast) AMAZING!
At long last. The flame attack tutorial boss becomes our own brawl attack.
Why is it called a brawl attack
@magicfish8213it wouldn’t make sense for it to be a bros attack because bowser is fighting solo
@13Lion thats why all the attacks are special attacks that use SP rather than BP
(There may be more I'm forgetting to mention here)
I have been enjoying this series nevertheless.
Ah yes, walking the dog. Not since Link's Awakening is there a Nintendo game where that becomes a valid way to attack your enemies.
Four Swords actually
Magikoopa Mob is my favorite special move in the entire Mario and Luigi series, its just so fun to pull off consistently
6:55 TIM 4 WHEEL OF FORTUNE!
You're not entirely correct about the Dark Mechawful. This version of the enemy actually spawns in a different form of the body that has stronger attacks.
6:57 Ooh, that'll be fun to watch. Good luck, Tim!
Emile: "i never worry about regen items"
Emile also: **frequently forgets to magic up between fights :P**
Now it's time for the *clean* sweep.
So speaking of dogs, how about that Okami sequel that just got announced, huh?
Anytime I would play this game, I never made the connection that blitty meant Block Kitty and thought they were puppies. watching this series is where I made the connection, because you basically spelled it out for me
4:36, meanwhile Jon found himself smirking for an unknown reason.
considering that the spessies of cat is called ablitty from block and kitty, and broggys name comes from Block and doggy does that mean broque has named his dog dog effectivly?
Since Chugga is not mentioning it, I believe you get more xp for bowser by letting the dark mafulls summon a new body, but they are MUCH faster and will change the timing of their attacks and do more damage so it's risk reward situation.
Each one can only summon one new body so once you take one out don't bother waiting from what I've seen.
THE DOG HAS APPEARED
Something you havent shown off yet, Chugga
if you let a Dark Mechawful's head stick around when theres 2 or more enemies, they'll build them selves a new, stronger body
in addition to higher stats, their countdown malfunctions after a bit making it harder to time their attacks
12:45 Another unforgivable change in the remake is that they removed the sound effects that the Blitties make every time they hit an enemy. Only the last one to follow makes the sound
*chugga meets a small inconviniences in the challenge*.... SEND IN THE TIM.
Oh, no, another Broque Madame challenge!
Magikoopa's is free, but not THAT Free imo. Still gotta try a little bit. Koopa Korps is the hardest one from experience.
9:06 100000 coins have been spent!
10:55 Pairs REALLY well with the Drumstick Ring! (May eat a Drumstick at the start of your turn)
12:30 REMAKE! Bowser throws soap on Broggy before scrubbing.
13:45 A new POWERFUL Body. Attacks get fasters, seconds gets scrambled after a second or two.(Example : Starts at 3, can start to scramble at 2, making you count your seconds or just guess)
And you also get more EXP when fighting them to. They also DROP more stuff when they get their Dark Mechawful X Body.
18:32 THE BITE OF '87?!...IN DAMAGE
21:00 Bowser's Max Rank would be here in the Remake.
@@waitressroyal You don't get Intruder Fangs until AFTER that boss fight, but before Fawful's.
I feel like the best strat on the Magikoopa one would be to loop a line.
Like instead of just random scribbles draw a line and then draw it back.
That one last Blitty that shows up at the end of Broggy Bonker is always amusing. Definitely my favorite of Bowser’s attacks. Not sure if this is a me thing, but in the remake, it felt more difficult to scrub enough of the dirt off of Broggy to get an excellent.
Progress Report: N/A
Yeah it does feel different. I think the bubbles will disappear as you scrub him. The last one will jump on the enemy to finish the move.
I don’t think it has been mentioned but the dark mechawful’s can get a special, more powerful body if given a chance.
I want to say The timer on its chest will go away after a bit leaving it up to the player to remember how long until the robot either launches a punch or stops it laser attack.
17:13 I thought "Skill Issue" was invented by Dougdoug's Twitch chat since Doug has a skill issue when it comes to 2-D platformers
*AAAAAA-*
(oh by the way their heads drop the a-ok wear if you are insane for its 0.5% odds)
To be Honest, i think putting more special points into Bowser would be Beneficial.
I know this is off topic, but we got a new Okami game announced… so Emile, if there is a feather sword… do an entire play though with the feather sword… it’s for Chibi not getting a feather sword

And oh crud, it's the Pachinko challenge from Sunshine all over again...
If you dont suck up the head, you'll get to meet a STRONGER version of Dark Mechawful called Dark Mechawful.5. Fun fact.
8:03 look at the shop,he sells peppers but you cannot buy them or use them at any point
It’s block Doggo time! Remember this being another special move I loved seeing as a kid.
12:17 this is the best way to level up Bowser these dark mechs give so much exp when they get there new mark 2
The best way I found to use Broggy is to hold the DS diagonally, and scribble vertically or horizontally (I don’t remember which, it’s been a while since I played)
They said magikoopa was free, yet it somehow it still proved a challenge.
Yessssss we wanna see Tim on wheel of fortune! I'd so tune in
King shell and vampire band can be fun.
4:32 We interrupt this Bowser's Inside Story LP to bring you Neco-Arc
Ohhh so thats why he finally auditioned for wheel of fortune! I'm so glad you made that bet, cuz I really wanna see him on the show!
Time to tame the doggy 😂😂😂
Koopa korps does a lot of damage if you do it correctly
It does more damage than Bob-omb blitz and almost as much as magikoopa mob for less sp
It also does more damage than shy guy squad against a single enemy
@chuggaaconroy When Bowser destroys a Dark Mechawful and leaves the ejecting head alone for a few turns, the head becomes a Dark Mechawful.5, gaining a new metal body
I think it’s worth mentioning and showing in the video, but Dark Mechawful heads will regenerate a new body called a Dark Mechawful.5, which has increased atk, def and spd, but also has entirely unique attack patterns where the timer can go haywire, forcing the player to keep track of that
I wonder if Chugga saw the Paper Mario 3DS trailer.

After watching this video, only one question remains:
WHO LET THE DOG OUT?
