Beautiful playing dear Claire, and thank you very much for your teaching. I've recently got my clarinet out again after a long break, and I'm loving playing all over again!! Such a beautiful instrument, and you sure do have a really gorgeous mellow sound, so pure it is really heart melting. That's how I want my clarinet to sound, but I have to put in lots of work to make it happen!! Anyway, practice makes perfect, and it is absolutely wonderful to be able to watch these absolutely fantastic videos on UA-cam, especially when I don't have a clarinet teacher at the moment. God bless you, and I look forward to hearing lots more!! 🤩

How long did it take for you to develop your current tone quality? I used to sound nice when I graduated school, but it's been about 5 years since I played due to a jaw injury. I'm getting back into lessons now and feel very discouraged by my tone quality and honestly don't know how I learned to sound so nice before 😂. I guess I'm just looking for some encouragement haha. Thanks for all your videos!

Nice, but I a find some of the breaths break up the phrasing in places. I have heard versions where this doesn't happen. Not sure if that is because of a player with more lung capacity or just better at disguising breaths. Could be circular breathing, I suppose, but I suspect not. Not a faster tempo either.
