Nice video thanks. I didn't realize there was a difference of classic and skate. I bought some skate skis. Fellow said he had some protective wax on them for off season. Well I got a scraper and scraped it off and the grooves and edges. But I tried outside and they are slipping left and right by my feet. it's almost impossible to stand. Did i not remove wax well enough? How you could you kick off if the foot just slipping like that?
Hey, can one remove dried-on wax by reheating it with an iron, ie, not scraping it off while dry?

so..it's never really necessary to use a base cleaner to remove the old wax before putting on the new wax?
Some people say the base cleaner hurts the base so you should just hot wax it then scrape off that wax and put on a new coat. It can be expensive though.
Brian, I always wondered "why put so much wax on the ski if you have to take it off?" Is that a waste of expensive wax and effort? Can you just put on less wax?

You're using the scraper backwards.
Why just why do almost all these UA-cam wax guys allow that scraper to go both ways on the ski. NEVER scrape in direction the ski don't travel. ONLY SCRAPE TIP TO TAIL the way the ski travels/glides!!!!
