Broo, MNET sabotaged the foreign trainees do badly, especially the Chinese ones. They got the least screen time compared to the others, besides Zhanghao, who was used as the ‘token non Korean’ of the group. Also, they always do the usual evil editing to make the trainees seem like they hate each other. They got much less time to practice, but they still faced through the hardships and they did well, Ricky and Zhanghao even debuted from that group.
That’s true coz all the evil editing focused on the foreign trainees especially the Chinese ones. Then the rest like the Japanese/Thai/Viet ones had no screen times except for Keita with a bit more. Ricky debuted even with so little screen time coz the fans could not resist his animated look😂 plus he is talented. Also no one talked about how ALL the Koreans in the G group had wayyy more screen times and made it to the end. They only debuted 3 from G group and within the 3 has a Korean. Notice all the G made to the finals are the Koreans except Keita, Ricky, Hao. That’s crazy. Anyway, I’m still very happy that a non Korean won 1st place. It would’ve been perfect if Keita could make it😭😭😭

this is so wrong in so many ways they purposely did this to g group only and switched their songs up knowing it would ruin their stage bring them hate and give them the reputation that they aren't as efficient or as talented as k group and it worked so well bc a lot of them got sooo much hate and were shatted on for that exact thing mnet planned for since the start
I love K-pop as a music genre but I hate K-pop reality shows… there’s too much editing and over-dramatizations to try to be controversial and go viral (all in the name of increasing the views and ratings). A lot of these shows already had a final lineup of trainees picked from the very beginning and have been under investigation for tampering with the votes. Now the networks are smarter and not editing the votes, but they’re editing the footage of the contestants (most of whom are foreigners) to give them a bad reputation and get them voted off the show, because it’s legal (unlike tampering with the votes). It’s an unethical business practice.
