As a fellow who went back to his engineering background & achieved the necessary qualifications, l worked on Aero turbines for a while & know well the expertise & concentration required to make an engine reliable. What you guys achieved under the stressful conditions & parts shortage that were endured is amazing, well done to you Sir & all the other people who kept Rhodesia's Aircraft operational. God bless.
People must realise that EVERY person who contributed to the war was of equal importance, not just us bayonets on the ground. Without these guys we would not have air backup
Another piece of the puzzle well placed…..well done guys. Enjoying this tremendous effort that you’ve put together over time. This video testimony is probably going to be the overview that stands up to the test of time a century from now as it involves the personal perspectives and experiences of the people who were actually involved….encompassing all facets of the Rhodesian bush war. ……..history in the making Nice job chaps 🤝🤝
Rhodesian were really innovative.I believe Rolls-Royce Royce didn't believe the work being performed on their engines by the Rhodesians.I seem to remember my Dad saying other airforces sent observers to see what was being.done on the Avon engines.
I spent a few years in ERS working on the Goblins. When the Vampires were phased out the Goblin bay was closed an I went moved to 1 Squadron as an engine tech.

Another vital component of the war machine. Respect to you all.
Top men who made sure we always had air cover and ensured Fire Force was able to operate and the externals had the added “punch” 👍
Respect.

Thanks Mark for your insightful comment. Much appreciated!
I've heard that we even made our own parts including fan blades is that correct? Highly specialised!
Nice!
Thanks!
