I know this is while ago but if you could respond it would be most appreciated my daughter is 7 and I'd like to get her a recurve bow I was thinking Mandarin duck maybe 12 lb draw weight to start and work her up she spends 90% of her day on the goddamn tablet I've got near an ice skating which is great for the winter but now I need something for the summer to get her off the goddamn screen and some serious daddy-daughter time do you have any suggestions for a good recurve before I go out and shell out 80 bucks

Ok boomer shutup if you had video games as a kid you would be on them! Also wtf is your problem because if you think that they cause violence NO THEY DON'T BITCH Minecraft teaches creativity skills Call Of Duty teaches Teamwork how to work together. So If you think that video games are bad fuck of boomer your just jealous because you didn't have this when you were a kid. You say video games are bad but all you probably do is sit on your ass and watch tv. If kids don't want to play outside then they simply DO NOT WANT TO. You say when you were a kid it was better I highly fycking doubt it. First of all 60 s racism fights separation. 80 s Mafia gangs start. So if you just adore the mafia and people getting killed then what does that make you hmm. A NUT JOB. Just because your a bitch doesn't mean you get to rule everything. GoTa GEt ThE kIdS OuTsIDe who do you think you are. Just because you older doesn't automatically make you wise so get lost

@@memestar5531 wow I think you are the perfect example of why it might be good to get your kid outside and doing something real every once and awhile I also think you’re a good example of why people should spank their kids when they get disrespectful so they don’t turn into little hermit shit heads like you lol

Very small girl, just turned 3, but very busy and loves to climb the rock wall, so overall strength is probably a little better than average. Any thoughts on the risk of asymetrical repetitive use type injuries or developmental issues with respect motions specific to archery? I'm thinking not so much so long as the draw weight, interval and duration of use remains reasonable. Just don't want to risk unnecessary wear and tear during such a rapid growth phase. I've been slinging arrows for decades via old school recurves, and likely overbowed too early on, but didn't start anywhere near that young and my shoulder tends to squawk a bit from time to time. Don't want to deny her the fun and the intuitive calculations required for accuracy, but just a bit cautious. The Diamond Atomic, while a bit pricey going in, seems like it just might be the ticket. Thanks.

    Two problems here.
For those who don’t know, there used to be child archers who could hit a one inch target on the fly, almost every time. Eight years old.
Our miserable schools don’t teach the children about famous accuracy, because they don’t want people to expect honesty. Our government offers the most inaccurate data possible on purpose. After all, stealing money is a secret. Those union members get paid huge pensions that were never approved. Same with the military. That’s why Army sharpshooters don’t compete.
    Who’s No.1.?
    Annie Oakley was No. 4,322.
    She was terrible.
But if all men are excluded, then she was great. Like that other fraud, Amelia Earnhardt.
The second problem with this video is the way that “manufactured” bows and arrows are presented as the only option. But these factory produced bows are an insult. It’s a way of saying that fathers and sons can’t really do things together. Only technology has value. Like your son’s iPhone.
A real bow is made from wood, steamed, bent, dried, and tested. The string should be made from cat intestines, and then dried for a month; then you have a bow.
The arrows are a different challenge.
A small shop in Berea Ky could offer a kit which has everything needed for fathers and sons to make bows and arrows. Real ones. When the son grows-up he’ll be in possession of a family heirloom and a tradition of accuracy.
    Not mathematical.
    Intellectual and physical.
