Now you know! :) Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
Malcolm is a very talented artist and a very intelligent and humble person!!!!! I had no idea that he went to the Musician's Institute!!!! That means he's serious about the bass and music!!! To paraphrase a line from Spider-Man,' Bass players have great power, and with that power comes great responsibility." His father went to college with Gil-Scott Heron and Bryan Jackson? WOW!!! Malcom is so on point regarding Paul Denman! Thank you for a very interesting interview!!!
Very glad you enjoyed this Keith! :)
MJW used to be a client of mine a long time ago... he was just really taking off in his bass journey, he is a very talented kid and I wish him a lot of success

Dude is a renaissance man. Encountered him as a lil kid watching Cosby Show, later randomly learned he was a bass god, ran INTO this mfer with Poetri Smith when I was on the open mic circuit. TF does he not do?

I got his first album years ago and really like it. Now I am inspired to check out some of his other stuff. He writes some very nice poetry. Multi-talented guy..

Me too. I was very very pleased. Sometimes transitions, especially the first attempt, don't do well. Now I have to dig up the CD!

So refreshing to see an actor who can play bass instead of people acting like bass players (like Regan acted like General Franco when he acted like the guvnor of California.)
There are quite a few actors that play... Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.

De-tune his bass? What exactly is he referring to? Anybody?
Using and alternative tuning. Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
@BassMusicianMagazine
Okay, that's what I thought, but he wasn't clear on what he does to de-tune. Drop E to D and follow the same on the other three strings? Are we talking four or five string bass?
Would have been helpful had he shared more details. Perhaps that's a bit of knowledge that could help others who seek improvement in their understanding and playing electric bass as well. Just my thoughts.
@@bustabass9025 Great question. I will have to ask him next time we chat! Thanks for watching!
@@bustabass9025 So many ways to detune your bass ( or guitar ), and so many sources on the internet to research and hear examples of it 🤷♂️
Actually, it sounds like he said he plays 5 string and detunes everything a whole step.
how old is he now? 30?
Around 53... Thanks for watching and for your input! Please feel free to Like, Share and Subscribe to our channel.
