    Thank you so much for talking in everyday terms that I can understand, love your sense of humor. What brought me to your page was that Google was not indexing my website and I had been using Google Console. Still don't have everything solved but at least it is saying that some of my pages are indexed. Again thank you so much for the helpful information. Just trying to figure out everything that is showing on your Google Console is not on mine. Such as the word coverage

    Thank you for this video!!! Should each page of a website be submitted for indexing or just the main homepage?

    • @MariahMagazine
      @MariahMagazine  Рік тому

      Yes, each page that you want to show up on Google. You essentially submit your sitemap to search console tho vs. submitting each page individually. The sitemap is like a roadmap for ALL the pages on your website that Google can read. I have a video on my channel that dives into submitting your sitemap to Google search console and how to find it. Hopefully that helps!

    Hi
    This is a great lesson but I have a simple question:
    How to improve content with keywords found in the queries section in the Google search console, how to use them in my posts, Do I need a separate post for every keyword or insert them in old posts, and if I write them in old posts, Is it necessary to add the in subheadings H2 or H3 or add them in paragraph text only?

    • @MariahMagazine
      @MariahMagazine  Рік тому

      Hi, thank you! Not quite a simple question haha it depends on the context. You don’t need a separate page/post for every keyword but you might need separate ones depending on the topic. Essentially look at which keywords are driving traffic to which page, then yes re-optimize accordingly. Possibly add new content. It depends. But to get started, my free blog post SEO checklist walks you through how to optimize a page, if you’re interested in the steps: mariahmagazine.com/seo-checklist-for-blog-posts/

    Great Video. Thank You for explaining somethings that I haven't understood.
    But I do have a quick question - the 404 "Not Found" pages that are shown, how do I find out where those links that are pointing to those pages are?

    • @MariahMagazine
      @MariahMagazine  2 роки тому +1

      I usually run a technical audit with an SEO tool like SEMRush or you can run a free broken link check like I outline in this video: ua-cam.com/video/kqU4QvLyAH0/v-deo.html

    I thought I had someone set this up for me before, but following your few videos on this, I just had to redo it and set it up brand new. Could something like that happen? meaning it was set up maybe a year ago but goes away when it is not used?

    • @MariahMagazine
      @MariahMagazine  Рік тому

      They might have set it up under a different email address. So that could be why! I’ve never seen it “go away” though, just set up through a different email. I hope that makes sense.

    Hi Mariah, this may be a silly question but does submitting a sitemap essentially mean you are submitting most of the pages on your website to be indexed? If I were to add new pages after submitting a sitemap, do I need to submit the new page links individually? Thank you so much for all the content you provide. You have helped me immensely! :)

    • @MariahMagazine
      @MariahMagazine  Рік тому +1

      Not a silly question. It’s a little confusing at first. The sitemap essentially is the roadmap for your website content to make it easier for Google bots to crawl and index. But every page on your site likely won’t be indexed so Google makes decisions on if it thinks the page is worth indexing or not. After you submit your sitemap, you usually don’t need to resubmit it if you have a plug-in or something that keeps it updated bc Google will recrawl it occasionally. But I usually don’t like waiting for Google to find a new page or post so I’ll submit a recently posted page to Google via GSC myself. And then sometimes I’ll check in on it to make sure it was indexed, which could take a few days or weeks. I have a few videos about this on my channel but hopefully that helps!
