The spirits of the prophets are indeed subject unto the prophets.... The first day I heard you on you life conversion and encounter with the Lord.... I never doubt the Spirit of God in you... All I have ever heard in your videos are conforming to what I have been learning from the Bible over the years... Keep it up sister... You have found the ancient landmark and never depart from it... God bless you.... Amen.
This scripture just comes in my spirit. 1 Timothy 2 vs 9- 14. I read the scripture and look up the meaning of broided, then I receive the revelation that I should not plait or twist my natural hair.
May God forgive me if I'm wrong but I think we need to be honest and keep it real had Apostle Paul been our no title church neighbor next door telling a Black Woman (esp a Black Women in the West) not to braid her hair ya"ll know good and well ya"ll would have asked him why the heck is he trying to micro manage a BW's hair esp if he's not paying your bills and not even your husband. But because he's a Godly man with high status whose words were recorded in the Bible ya"ll can accept it.
Thank you for this message sister, I really wanted to braid my natural hair because I wanted it to grow fast after the big chop I did a few months ago so that I can grow back my hair natural, but now I won't do it, I'm a bit sad because it's prettier and more manageable in braids/plaits but yeah, obedience to God's will is more important and urgent. Also your head coverings are pretty and suit you. We do not need to show our hair to be pretty, we are all beautiful clothed in humilty and modesty and with our hair covered ❤️
I just spent 3hours+ last night plaiting my short hair for the first time after becoming a born again because I want it to grow faster😭 and I was not sure whether I'm allowed to plait it or not and the holy spirit sent you to come and talk to me 😭thank you very much my sister for allowing the almighty God to use you are indeed a God's vessel ❤️
When you read read with the holy spirit and understanding...focus on the the heart and the outward will fall inline with the word...its not a sin to Plat hair but it's to focus on your inner part your spirit more than outward..if you make an idol out of anything it's a sin! Go to God and as him for yourself!
And about covering my head,it's true dear,I compared the way I prophecy with and with uncovered hair and I discovered that am more effective when my head is covered
This is true, I had a dream that a friend was plating my hair. When I told her not to, immediately I felt spiritual paralysis on my head only, I could feel the hand so heavy that I had a headache the following day. I stopped cutting my hair to manage it or plat it. I just leave it as it is. God bless you Sister continue spreading God's truth. Pay no attention to people who attack you, we aim to please God not people, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood.
True I was half way braiding my hair then I fell asleep and an audible voice told me this hair has to go I woke up and cut it off I didn't doubt the voice because before I was told to cut my natural nails and nail polish
The dream, it is an attack from the enemy and that is your glory. You will lay your hands on your head and confess Isiah54v17 severally and drink the blood of Jesus and yawning it out the evil arrow from your head and belief it IJN
I was going to do a perm rod set over night in my hair, and I had a dream that convicted me. I was trying to pray for a man, but because of my hair style, the prayers were ineffective. This is my first ever conviction about my hair. At first the Lord didn’t speak to me about it because I wasn’t hearing it, but after humbling myself, he has spoken!
Wow Yah be the Glory!!! I wanted to know this because I have a lot of natural and I braid it as well. I was on a journey to grow my hair to waist length after watching your video, I will stop braiding my own natural hair. Thank you
So many are disputing this message as if it’s from me. They fighting me and demanding that I give them a solution and the only solution is Jesus. Going to him in prayer and asking . Thank you sister for having a teachable Spirit 🙏
@@marylinechantelit's because this message through your dream may be for you ONLY. You can't just come up with new doctrine after over 2000 years of the Holy Spirit word! Dreams also come from the satanic realm !!
Great video (s), will you be making any other’s seeing as how it’s been a year? I’m just going through all the videos and honestly, your doing a great job. 👏🏾 May the Holy spirt continue to lead and guide you! ❤️
Bathing soap? Really? You do know that bathing soap isn’t even used for natural black hair? All it does it cause build up and drys it out causing breakage and building up bacteria. Seriously you guys need to do your research. ALSO, not every hair is the same!!! You guys are forgetting about this! Coconut oil dries my hair out
I’ve looked at several videos regarding the “broiding” of hair. One was William Braham a long ago Preacher. He found that the street women of that time braided their hair & added jewelry etc to their hair. Paul was saying to work on the inner person. Also this was in the context of Marriage. if the wife worked on her conduct she would win her husband over to Christ not by outward adorning but by her holy & respectful conduct toward her husband. Now you had a dream from the Lord concerning your hair. Most definitely go with what the Lord is saying to you. God will always do what he says. God is no liar. Blessings to you.
I have had several dreams recently where devil worshippers came and wanted to plait my hair. I have a revelation that plaited hair or braided is a symbol of holding down strength, spiritually it means your spiritual strenght is being manipulated or twisted or pressed down
Hi, thank you for your message. Just a quck question, as an individual with 4c hair, how do I keep my hair from tangling if I do not plait mine or my daughter's hair, especially after washing? Is twisting different? The history of broiding in Peter's days involved intertwining gold strands in the hair and making it distracting. It also says in 1 Timothy 11-12, that a woman should learn in silence and not to teach, could you please discuss this topic next?
I do not twist my hair, I stopped the moment the Lord told convicted me from it. So I do not braid, plait, twist, do cornrows. I do non of that because he doesn’t permit it.
@@marylinechantel this is so annoying I’m sorry. I feel like we are forgetting the young youths like black kids. They go through racism and insecurity because of their hair. If we can not plait or twist our hair, how on earth can the children maintain??! My sister is 12 years old and she has very thick coily 4c hair. It is literally, and I’m saying this with all my heart, it is impossible to keep her hair in place without plaiting or twisting it. Often her hair is out and so dry and tangled and she complains about it, saying she gets bullied for it and she’s ashamed to go out for it. She wished she has braids in because of this. Please… I feel like the bible is forgetting that 4c hair exist. We cannot maintain our hair without it being in a protective style.
The interpretation of the Spirit is right. In the beginning, women were not braiding their hair. Even though it had become the practice of the Gentile Ephesian women, Paul had to correct the practice among the Christian women of Ephesus where Timothy had been a Bishop.
Honestly this is an issue that is giving me serious stress. My hair is long, about waist length, therefore it's so much easier to take care of it through protective styling. I usually twist my own natural hair. Now to hear that I cannot do that, is very distressing. I am so sorry if I am being disrespectful to God, but it's so hard to understand. The reason that I twist and sometimes braid my hair with extensions is so that I do not spend endless hours doing my hair, especially considering its thickness and length.I also want to be able to exercise, sweat and lead an active lifestyle without having to detangle or wash so frequently especially since my hair is low porosity and takes ages to dry. I just simply don't understand how it can be so sinful to twist my natural hair, especially when it's not a human hair weave. I would cut my hair but now I also hear it is not right for us to keep our hair very short. Moreover it just seems really unfair because let's be honest Afro hair is so much harder to manage than other races hair, particularly very kinky afro hair (mine is 4c). There is literally no comparison especially when it is long and thick. And as much as I love our unique hair type I just cant hop into the shower and air dry my hair, I wish I could. If I could, I would and never braid again. I want to be obedient but I also don't want to be overly legalistic and rigid and be so stressed out over hair.
I understand your frustrations, especially because my hair is also 4C. If you knew how much I understood all your point which I valid but with all that I just chose to trust God in this journey and allow him to show himself through me, my hair and everything else that will make me a living testimony of his miracles due to obedience. All I can advise is that you pray about it and get answers from God himself , he has opened that door for us all to access him , so he is not as far as most people think he is
@@marylinechantel Hi, thank you so much for responding. I really appreciate that you took the time to write back to me and for sharing your thoughts on this subject. I want to share that I came across a way of doing wash and go's for 4c hair. I think God honestly lead me to that video because I was really stressed out and considering braiding my hair when I came across the video. I am not sure of your thoughts on adding product to your hair (this method involves adding a curl activator and gel to the hair after washing). It is not a relaxer and does not chemically alter our hair texture or curl pattern in any way. Of course pray about it and do your own research on the products used. I hope that this information is helpful to you and others don't want to wear extensions anymore. These are the videos that I used: ua-cam.com/video/egIU2B4UyMY/v-deo.html ; ua-cam.com/video/9n_tJjZSs8o/v-deo.html . In summary: 1. I washed my hair, conditioned it and deep conditioned it. 2. I then added my leave in conditioner + the s-curl activator + a gel e.g. ecostyler gel. 3. Combed the product through my hair in sections. 4. Air dried my hair and then banded my hair at night to stretch it. So far my hair is moisturized, not tangled and a lot easier to manage. I washed my hair after a week but I plan on seeing if I can maintain the style for 2 weeks straight before washing and repeating.
Most High blessed this sister and her convictions, but that does not mean that this is applicable to all believers. We must study to show ourselves approved and rightly divide The Word of Truth. Our woman have always plaited their hair throughout history. Wisdom teaches our women the best method of growing and protecting their beautiful curly hair type is through plaiting and twisting the hair at times. This scripture is simply stating that a righteous woman's true beauty and adornment should come from the inward spirit. Grooming and maintaining ones appearance is not sin. The sin comes when it is done in pride and haughtiness. An example of this in The Scriptures is Isaiah 3:16-26 Moreover the Lord saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: 17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will discover their secret parts. 18 In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon, 19 The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, 20 The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings, 21 The rings, and nose jewels, 22 The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins, 23 The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails. 24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty. 25 Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war. 26 And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground. * The sin was not in the wearing of jeweles and fine costly array, it was their pride that caused them to fall. I found this article to be quite informative. www.gotquestions.org/braided-hair.html
@@docjones712 please sister Maryline is right! Many holiness churches in my country have been warned severally by the Lord not to plait our natural hair. Myself by the grace of the Lord I have also received similar warnings for me and my children since their birth. The fact that women have been plaiting their hair since ages ago still doesn’t mean it right. David, Solomon and others were polygamous, doesn’t make polygamy right. Twice I have seen twisted natural hair in the spirit realm, beloved I was shocked what the women looked like. Please let us not use our human understanding on this issue, lest we do holiness in vain due to something trivial like twisting or braiding of hair.
@@d-maameamahammond1405 Grace and peace be unto you. If that is your conviction I will not argue with you. I believe the spiritual implication behind this scripture is the spirit of meekness and modesty. A woman can have a fro from here to glory but of she is prideful and haughty in regards to her hair she is in sin. Just as the scriptures say The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink. I don't believe The Kingdom of God is hair. The point of this scripture is modesty. If you believe God will damn you to hell because of three strand intertwining of the hair over two strand twists, believe what you will. I don't share that belief. This sister I believe is leading people astray. Her focus is on the outward appearance. Women should be covered up, be shame faced, and modest. This does not mean a woman can't style her hair and be beautifully adorned. Our holiness women do not have to walk around in sack clothes. One can be modest with braided hair and make it into The Kingdom. We will agree to disagree in love. 1 Corinthians 13:9-12 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
Thank you so much Sis Maryline for this wonderful exposition, I'm so grateful to God for his spirit in you which avails you the boldness to speak this bitter truth of us not plaiting our hair. But your last upload shows 2 years ago, it's been such a long time, what happened?
All glory to King Jesus. It has been quite a donkey time and I’m sorry about that. God blessed my husband and I with two more baby boys . One was born May 2021 and the other one October 2022 so things have been hectic for me. Every time I’m pregnant, I get more attacks from the enemy so my pregnancies are never an easy ride, they always force me to be more closer to God in silence than ever before so that’s what has been happening in my life. Currently I’m a mommy of two toddlers so it’s been hectic hours of sleepless nights so I hardly have time to even listen to my thoughts. I’ll be back my sister and thank you so much for checking up on me. I appreciate it a lot
Sister thank you so much for sharing! I'm struggling with hairstyles and I seem to be drawn back to weaves which the lord had told me to leave last year. I feel frustrated my hair and I really need prayers because I'm leading in the church and I need to set an example to others
It’s all by his mercy. I understand your frustration and struggles with hairstyles because I can relate. My hair gets to frustrate me so much and the fact that I do not have power over it gets to me at times but I’m able not to draw back because of the fear I have for God, my fear for God is greater than everything or every challenge I am faced with. I think that your prayer point is to ask for the spirit of,” fearing the Lord to dominate you.”I did and my prayer was answered because it’s now dominating.
@@Simply_Teenahx I believe that God feels like he has styled it the best on your behalf and therefore sees no point in you correcting his work or altering his work. But then again God has opened a door of Grace for all believers so you can use it to ask him that question directly if you feel like my answer is not enough.
@@marylinechantel I understand you, but, what if you wanted to change your hair for a wedding? School picture, or something special. I know God would not send someone to hell for that. It's like saying it's a sin to wear a headband though, it's still fixing the hair. Yes, maybe changing wayyy to much texture of the hair is wrong, but no heaven or hell idea here.
Am now releasing my hair from twisting after hear u . Am in this holy journey and I choose Jesus rather than wasting hours in my natural hair. Thank u dear
We should always pray that, whatever that doesnt please God, in my life, please by your mercies take them away in my life. Cleans me oh lord with the blood of Jesus and by your mercies help me to make heaven by God grace.
Dear sister in Christ I have listened to your teachings on this channel. It has been a blessing. You haven't uploaded any new videos for quite a while. Hope you are well and okay by the grace of God. God bless you sister.
I was trying to reply a question someone asked me in the comment section but to no avail. For those who believe this video, we can hold the hair together in one piece and tie a scarf around it. It would work even for longer hair though you may need a longer scarf. If you know sister Rachael Mushala, she’s a good example of how to hold the hair together. That is what most of us here have been doing for years, some with shoe lace or strips of cloth, for this warning against braiding or plaiting, we’ve already received years ago. You can wear hair out that way. The idea is to keep it in it’s natural afro form like God made it.
I emailed sister Rachael Mushala, I asked her if braiding is a sin. She said her and her sister prayed and asked the Lord, and the Lord told them that is not a sin to braid your natural hair. Just don't put unnatural things on it or do some extravagant hairstyles.
@@sheryngomes8626 my sister, I would just say that we must consult the Lord personally. I did and have my confirmation so that no one can convince me otherwise. No one knows it all. The Bible states it clearly in 1 Timothy 2:9 in the original KJV “not with broided hair”. In those times, they had no weaves or artificial hairs. So obviously, the warning was for them to avoid braiding their own hair. I could tell you a lot about how I saw twisted natural hair appear like snakes on someone’s head, or about how a sister who was at the point of death went to hell for fornication and saw holiness sisters who were being mocked for braiding their natural hair, for the demons said they used their own wisdom to grow their hair when God already knows the number of hairs on their head, or about a church member who disagreed and later received a warning from God against hair braiding or about many others but all these can never take the place of you getting your own confirmation from God. So dear sister, seek God for yourself too so you can be clearly convicted on what to do. Stay blessed
Sis I appreciate your platform and I love your spirit but I honestly think you missed this particular verse. We can't walk around ungroomed among ourselves and other societies. Our hair has to be maintained with braids and twists. I think Peter was saying don't be conceited with outward appearances only. In verse 4 in the King James Version says "But" : 3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. You have New King James version that says 'RATHER', which changes the meaning. It's what's on the inside that's important. If you read the Amplified Version it gives a fuller illustration: 3 Your adornment must not be merely external-with interweaving and elaborate knotting of the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or [being superficially preoccupied with] dressing in expensive clothes; 4 but let it be [the inner beauty of] the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, [one that is calm and self-controlled, not overanxious, but serene and spiritually mature] which is very precious in the sight of God If you read Judith 10:3 in Apocrypha And pulled off the sackcloth which she had on, and put off the garments of her widowhood, and washed her body all over with water, and anointed herself with precious ointment, and BRAIDED THE HAIR OF HER HEAD, and put on a tire upon it, and put on her garments of gladness, wherewith she was clad during the life of Manasses her husband.” I AM NOT SHAMING BUT I WANT THE MOST HIGH GOD TO HAVE THE GLORY, EDIFICATION AND CLARIFICATION FOR US.
I really wish that was the case but unfortunately it’s not. God has confirmed this too many times because I didn’t wanna understand or believe it simply because I’ve got 4C hair and there is no better way of maintaining my hair than plaiting. But who am I to speak against him so that case is closed. There is no further clarity God can give me, than what He has already given me hence I brought it on this platform, knowing without a doubt that I will be grilled for this but at the end of the days it’s not my message but God.
@@jadsjads1853 I just spray it with water, apply hair oils of my choice, use a hair brush, to brush it to the back then put on a head covering, silky material. Then live it on for overnight. In the morning when I take of the head covering it’s slicked back then I just apply oil of my choice and comb it up. It looks as if I blew dried it which of cause is not the case or I just live it slicked back if I’m lazy to comb it out. That’s how I maintain my hair or get my hair to look neat or pleasant to look at. I have 4C hair by the way so my hair is the rough one but this method works.
If you continue to read on Judith 10:4…she braided her hair and adorned herself to allure the eyes of all men that should see her. She did all of this to attract the men for a purpose.
If we should not put on ornaments, we should as well not put on clothes because apparel is cloth, it's not saying we should not wear them but we should not be carried away by fashion and clothes but we should focus more on our soul, plaiting of hair is different from braiding of hair, braiding of hair is fixing artificial hair, in like manner also that women should adorn themselves with moderate apparel with shamefacedness and sobriety not with braided hair, gold or peals or costly array means we should look moderate in our dressing to avoid unnecessary attention to ourselves not that we should not put on those things but must put on the once that are moderate
Wow! What you said about plaiting your hair is taking it on your own hands is really impacted me. God is so good! Praise God. I also was twisting my hair and I was thinking “this takes too much time”’ even though my hair is quite manageable. . I told myself if we couldn’t manage it natural we would not have it. I believe we can have long hair WITHOUT the protective styles we see everywhere(2-strand twists, braids , plaits etc). You are right we must trust God in this and everything else. The different bible versions have also contributed to women debating these scriptures. Thank you so much for this video God bless you sister.
🙏. It feels so good to be reading such responses for once. Not attacks and insults most of the time. People hate being told the truth or being removed from their comfort zone but I’m glad that there are those who receive this message with great joy. Amen!
I think by braided hair He meant the fake hairs that we braids, and the wigs that are already braid. Remember this is what the Egyptians used. But if it’s your natural hair there’s no problem with that. Especially if it helps with growth.
Hello my sister. Thanks for the message. Since it's not good to use an elastic band to tie our hair, what should we use if our hair is very long. Thank you
This is the question I have about plaiting natural hair because God has given me the talent but I never went to any college of beauty I found myself knowing
I stopped braiding my hair based off of testimonies I watched saying we will go to hell. It’s been like 1.5 years… it is not Biblical but yes.. braids are not Holy, so I will never get braids to show off long fake hair (vanity) but I can wear them modestly under my head covering or under a scarf. It can be worn in a modest/plain way that doesn’t scream “I’m hot look at meeee” We need to fast & pray on things like this for ourselves don’t listen to EVERY “christian” online
I believe with you sis. I don’t do anything on my hair. I just wash and comb but to honest I find it so easy to maintain than when I was braiding and fixing weaveons

MOST OF THE QUESTIONS I HAVE RECEIVED, ARE RELATED TO THE HAIR AND THAT ON FOOTBALL... SAME FOOTBALL THE WORLD IS WORSHIPPING TODAY
My hair is not long, it’s not even shoulder length so I just spray water on my hair,?seal the moisture with hair oils then brush it to the back. A hair brush works best , even in detangling . After brushing then wear my head wrap. When I take off my head wrap, my hair is nicely slicked back, Flat and neat. That’s what I do on a daily bases
Though you’ll keep them covered, God will be aware of what you hiding under the covering. If locs were all fine by God, we would have all taken that root to easy manage our hair
@@marylinechantel I'm not a woman tho. But God's word didn't condemn locs for women. When we're being raptured, we are going to be transfigured. God ain't bothered what hair you carry, if you're filled with the holy spirit, producing it's fruit and loving nothing of the world. Right now I guarantee there are people written in the lamb's book of life, who have locs or jewelry on.

All glory to Lord Jesus. Indeed we are to edify each other in the body of Christ, all in preparation for the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We are in a very rough world and we need his strength everyday
I hear you sister but locs are not for us either if they were I would have gone for that option years ago but because of the spirit that comes with locs, God does not approve of them.
Thank you for this message. I’ve been feeling in my spirit lately that I should start covering my hair. Thankfully it’s short now and will be easy to do so. But what about those sisters who have very long hair? How will they get it into a hair covering without tying it back into a bun or pony tail? I also want to grow my hair out long. I cut it all off a while ago to start fresh . Thank you for this message
You guys have to start being free thinkers how is it a sin to be black? Black hair thrives in twist and braids we do not share hair with other people our hair is it's neatest in braids. You can't let a stranger on the internet demonize your blackness.

Hi! Do you remember me Asha we use to talk all the time and than one day you just stopped talking to me I didn't hear anything from you again and honestly it broke my heart 💔 and I did cry a lot about it for a bit because I looked at you as a friend since you were the only one I had in my life at the time who actually cared about the truth the only one who i could actually open up to about the truth along with other things i was going through at the time, but you just stopped talking to me and I didn't understand why? I hope you do see this message some day but if not that's ok because letting you know the truth about how i felt after I didn't hear from you any more was the closure I needed to move on and I just want to let you know that I have not forgotten about you. Thank you for taking the time out to actually get to know me I only hope for the best and ask GOD to keep on blessing you and your family... I love you sister in Christ.
Hi my sister, of cause I remember you. I tried to reach out to you but got no responses from you. I started wondering if maybe you changed your email address or something or if you just didn’t feel like talking to me anymore. I honestly don’t know how our communication broke down. I send you an email after years of not trying to get through to you anymore because I was not receiving any responses from you and that email too never received a reply from you. Please send me your email address and I’ll forward you the email I sent you two months ago. I never forget about you. I can never forget about you because you were the First Lady to reach out to me. I had nobody else’s to talk to myself besides you and I too was going through a lot at the time. I had just stopped using makeup and wearing like the world, dealing with rejection from family and people I used to call friends so at the time, talking to you was healing and I just never understood why you stopped replying to my emails. Even two months ago when I emailed you, I was just trying my luck, hoping that you’ll respond but you never did. I’m so sorry that you felt like I had cut you off when in actual fact I had not. This is the ministry God has called me into my sister so I cannot just cut my sisters off, when God is the one that leads them to me. There are ladies I talk to full time via email like we used to back in the days and every time I respond to their emails I would always think of you, think of what exactly happened and where you might be or how you holding up, if you still walking with our Lord. Receiving a message from you today brought lots of joy in my heart, I feel like God has answered me by letting you message me. Please send me an email and I’ll respond, I’m longing to talk to you. marylinechantel@gmail.com
Can we moisturize our hair? I know they may seem like a silly question. But it’s the natural state part that confuses me not knowing what products are allowed to keep it healthy.
Moisturizing our hair using water then organic oils to seal the water inside our hair is the way to go. Avoid chemical moisturizers made for processed hair
Hello sister...I want to stop plaiting and using chemicals, should I cut my hair first before embarking on this journey? Also how do I wash my hair ...do I use water only then apply oil?
Thank you my sister. I pray to have those dreams where God reveal himself to me. I want to have a conversation with Him and I believe that it will happen one day. I am waiting patiently in Jesus Name.

If you make him priority
Nonzondelelo Apleni Praise the Lord. That’s fantastic my sister. I love the fact that you will testify afterwards, A big AMEN to that . We must testify my sister about our Lord, that’s what he wants
Why comb out curls and not define them? Combong over time can lead to damage. And makes your hair instead of being curly but puffy. And putitng hair in a bun is a sin, i dont think so!

Sister I understand your message, but please choosing to look shabby is also dishonouring, … it’s also in the intentions of the heart if I choose to wear a nice dress, it’s not because I want people to look at me…if I do it to compete with others or to see it as a way of valuing muself better then others…then I am moved in pride…but if I choose to wear something nice is because I feel presentable and not shabby.. but outward appearance should not be our idol…that is when it gets wrong

At this point i think the best thing is to cut of my whole hair, because head scarves worsen my alopecia ,all around my head where the scarf stops cuts off infact scraps off,i dont wear weaves, attachments or wigs just scarfs or turbans yet my hair is cutting all round. i have medium length 4c hair that cant pack into a bun well ,so if i just leave it i look unkempt and dirty, it is easy for white people to just let their hair flow down but for we blacks we need a deeper understand ing of that scripture God knows our hair texture needs help managing to look neat.

I have had growth this year, not as much as I would have loved to have it but I’m just glad that there’s progress. I didn’t say only use a brush, that’s my method, which works for me. A brush for me keeps my hair intact and avoids hair loss so if a comb does that for you, maybe with bigger teeth then use that, there’s no sin in that. I wash my hair with bicarbonate of soda ( paste(mixed with a bit of water) so as to remove the grease from my hair. Then rinse with water. As for oils, there’s lots on the market to choose from. Should we make tassels on the four corners of the cloak you wear and not wear clothes of wool and linen woven together(Deuteronomy 22:11-12) as those commandments are in the same chapter and position? + And.. I'm also pondering about trousers because as a high school student, the school forces students to wear school uniform pants in gym class. If I don't, then they would start with cutting down my attitude grades(those impact my total grades) and as I continually resist wearing gym pants they might expulse me.... I don't know what to do now😥
Isn't this part of the law? We must be careful though to see to it that we do not find ourselves being under the same law that the Jews were under. We are now under the new covenant and yes the hair braiding was addressed also to the gentiles but I haven't seen trousers wearing being addressed here. I would suggest that you wear the trousers for that school program only. So long as they are not tight and short.
@@nicolabanda2231 Thanku so much for replying.. I have thought about it (or maybe holy spirit told me) that it is a good job to wear long skirt instead of trousers because it means that we attended to and valued God's words. My hair is not at your length yet, if it was I would give you a step my step way of going about it . What I can advise is for you to research on how you can tie your hair without a tie or without braiding. Google that and see how ladies with long hair go about doing it. Before doing that ask God to lead you to the right person/channel which you can get the right ways of doing it.

There’s a difference between braiding for maintenance vs elaborate hairstyles that are known throughout African culture

Hello sister you can twist you and your daughter's hair that is permissible. I also twist my hair.

God bless you richly my Sister! God bless you indeed! ❤️🙌🏽
In summary:
An example of this in The Scriptures is Isaiah 3:16-26
Moreover the Lord saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:
17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will discover their secret parts.
18 In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,
19 The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
20 The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,
21 The rings, and nose jewels,
22 The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,
23 The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.

Thank you for messaging me sister, I’m well and still on the race. I’ll be back soon
Hey, i just want to ask. How am i supposed to style my hair? Should i just cover it always. How can i take care of my hair so they cant be messy?
It's so confusing. One say yes, another say no.
The same thing with tying your hair, one say yes, another say no.
@@d-maameamahammond1405 Thank you to answer. How can I talk to you in private?
I love your dedication to the Lord. Bless you! You are an inspiration.
Sis I appreciate your platform and I love your spirit but I honestly think you missed this particular verse. We can't walk around ungroomed among ourselves and other societies. Our hair has to be maintained with braids and twists. I think Peter was saying don't be conceited with outward appearances only. In verse 4 in the King James Version says "But" :
3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
You have New King James version that says 'RATHER', which changes the meaning.
It's what's on the inside that's important. If you read the Amplified Version it gives a fuller illustration:
3 Your adornment must not be merely external-with interweaving and elaborate knotting of the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or [being superficially preoccupied with] dressing in expensive clothes; 4 but let it be [the inner beauty of] the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, [one that is calm and self-controlled, not overanxious, but serene and spiritually mature] which is very precious in the sight of God
If you read Judith 10:3 in Apocrypha
And pulled off the sackcloth which she had on, and put off the garments of her widowhood, and washed her body all over with water, and anointed herself with precious ointment, and BRAIDED THE HAIR OF HER HEAD, and put on a tire upon it, and put on her garments of gladness, wherewith she was clad during the life of Manasses her husband.”
I AM NOT SHAMING BUT I WANT THE MOST HIGH GOD TO HAVE THE GLORY, EDIFICATION AND CLARIFICATION FOR US.

Wow!! What a dream. God is faithful

I think by braided hair He meant the fake hairs that we braids, and the wigs that are already braid. Remember this is what the Egyptians used. But if it’s your natural hair there’s no problem with that. Especially if it helps with growth.

THANK YOU MY SIS FOR HELPING ME COZ I WAS GETTING HEADACHE OF WHAT I CAN DO WITH HAIR
It can be worn in a modest/plain way that doesn’t scream “I’m hot look at meeee”
We need to fast & pray on things like this for ourselves don’t listen to EVERY “christian” online

What would you say about using deodorant too?

@@jadsjads1853 We have head coverings and we have hair clips/accessories.
Hair clips are used for styling the hair, giving it a particular shape, shape of your desire. Completely changing it’s form.
Then, there are head coverings, which are used to cover the hair. Hair being the woman’s glory. You cover it, you don’t style it ( your hair that is). You cover your glory as to glorify the Lord Jesus and not yourself. Meanwhile with hair clips, it is to glorify yourself. So there is a major difference there.
But it is also a sin to shave our hair as a woman…
Honestly this is all so confusing

I have had growth this year, not as much as I would have loved to have it but I’m just glad that there’s progress.
I haven’t had breakage because I keep my hair moisturized then brush it to the back, put on my silk head covering first to help slick it then use another head covering on top of that one. I have 4C hair
How would I wear my think hair under a head wrap? If it’s not tamed it gets matted and unable to work with. How do I maintain my hair or my children’s hair?
You sound more like someone who is seeking answers from someone who came up with new laws and I’m just a messenger.
Your frustrations are my frustrations but I have chose to just trust the Lord in the process.
What I do is rinse my hair with water everyday and after rinsing, I wipe it and then put oils on it. Afterwards comb it with a big tooth comb so that it does not break then done

May I ask a question? I took out my hair tie and you said only brush your hair and wash it with ONLY water. Can you tell me what oils you used? Please?
I didn’t say only use a brush, that’s my method, which works for me. A brush for me keeps my hair intact and avoids hair loss so if a comb does that for you, maybe with bigger teeth then use that, there’s no sin in that. I wash my hair with bicarbonate of soda ( paste(mixed with a bit of water) so as to remove the grease from my hair. Then rinse with water. As for oils, there’s lots on the market to choose from. We got, Shea Butter, Oilive Oil, Coconut oil,ect so you can choose any that fits your type of hair.
