You can use them to divert fuel from one stage to another, or one stack to another. I mainly use them for fuelling engines that aren't usually fired on launch, so they aren't just dead weight. Then when I jettison the outer stages, the inside stages are still firing, but they have 100% of their own fuel remaining
Oh I love you guys for doing a quick look on this game. It deserves all the attention it can get. It's amazing in it's current state, and will become even better!
No matter where you are in the universe you will still be affected by gravity ever so slightly, in this case the earths gravity, that is also why the moon does not fly away but stays in orbit, and that everything in the universe does not just float randomly around, everything affects everything else.
there's gravity in space, but no air resistane/friction, which is why you keep moving - for an object to change speed/direction a force must be exerted on it, gravity produces force when coupled with matter, and as far as anyone's concerned, in a vacuum, there is no matter (aside from planets within atmospheres), so as soon as you leave atmosphere, you lose the force changing speed/direction. Gravity exists in space numpty.
Omg, you guys made me laugh so freaking hard! I just discovered this game and wanted to check out videos of it, needless to say I'm glad I found this one. So hilarious!
Throttle is useful for limiting fuel consumption, because the less fuel you are carrying the less you weigh and the more you get a boost from the rockets since the pressure stays the same.
I know that you can land on other planets, but is it possible to construct large structures on the planets by, like, sending material over to the planet? That would be crazy
You guys should try this with the latest update. They have made some major improvements. Also you need to get an orbit before heading to the mun. Check out Scott Manley's videos.
There IS gravity in space, the reason you keep moving is because an object in motion stays in motion. If there were no gravity in space, then orbiting would not be possible without the engines running constantly -- the trajectory would be a straight line as soon as you made it out of the atmosphere. Satellites would have to be refueled all the time. What happens with satellites is that they're going around the Earth at the same speed that gravity is pulling them down, so they "fall" forever.
You had too many engines occupying the same space, didn't you see the Z-Fighting? That's why you kept blowing up, there should have been 6 engines but you had 12 in the space of 6. Love the review, I'm getting it :)
Who could have known how far this would end up going?

Wow this game has come a long way since this. Still one of my favorite QL
Stupidly addictive as well once you get the hang of it.
44:27 lol "wait, you guys didn't get to space yet?" "no." "Jesus..."

FYI The demo is still being supported. It will receive any updates relevant to what it entails along with the main game.

you're totally the first one to point this out! Well done!!!!!

So hilarious!
The Fly boys strike again!
This much laughter can't be healthy. Vinny, Dave and Drew are the absolute best.
After playing the demo from there site for a while, I am now the proud owner of this brilliant game.

Everything clipping into everything else, unsymmetrical canards, messed up struts...
"Looks good"

I love how they spend so much time on these quirky games.
I hope this starts a wave of interest in the game to spur on the developers. Been loving this game for a year now.
I love the big smiles on the astronauts' faces when they survive a huge explosion, so awesome.
Clearly! This will be the next Olympic event added in for the 2016 year. Imagine how many flips the judges would have to count.
We need a follow up video when Vinny gets the STONE SWAN flying so we can see that baby in action!
wow took you guys long enough, i thought that this was a guy who makes a series of KSP... still, you did it at last...
you guys should do some more of this
I know that you can land on other planets, but is it possible to construct large structures on the planets by, like, sending material over to the planet? That would be crazy
Nice 2001 space odyssey reference, dave. It took me a second but I got it.
You should use left shift to throttle up.
u can press c for cockpit view
24:13
THATS why you need connectors to stop the rocket from going " Nupe. Had enough of this. Im goin to space on my own."
Who are these guys anyway? They're hilarious and so chill with what they're doing haha.
Looks like the reason for enjoying this video sailed right over your head.
That first explosion.... made me buy this game.
you sir, have handled the situation well.
You guys should try this with the latest update. They have made some major improvements. Also you need to get an orbit before heading to the mun. Check out Scott Manley's videos.

Rockets spinning out of control and the last stage just blew up yet he says:
"Were doin oookayy"
LOL so kerbal.
I see this video go from one stage of clueless to another and think "this is like watching a kerbal play the game"
I love how they made a space oddity reference.
Congrats. You've created the worlds most expensive firework/self-induced clusterbomb.
1 hour of gaming = 1 blink of the eyes.
I feel it's accurate lol
that stangelove reference made this vid awesome
@tazer95 Damn backspace button next to post... You can land tons of bases next to each other
ep 2 comin out?
So you can construct bases on planets? Man, that's awesome.
Funny the guy mentioned the blue mohawk guy from the Curiosity team, I remember that dude.
That moment was genius.
what's a nutchell? is it similar to a satchel?

Should do another QL of 0.18, so many updates.
@tazer95 the next patch adds new planets. If you're good enough, you c
This looks like so much fun!
Demo verson I got sucks... Got some mods but not that many options.
I just purchased it , i already know im gonna love it :D
Try turning off the wheel brakes before you take off
You can fuel up at the space station
I love these guys, they are made of movie references
it's no mod,all parts in the game changed/resized in an update
they are quite famous game reviewers, who are known(from what i understand) to be highly accurate
Buy the full version and you get more options and better content in general.
This is like, somethin'.
lol i love these people, gotta watch more videos now
Well, he is technically correct, and there IS a huge engine as part of vanilla ksp.
15:26 its a disco party with fire instead of spotlights
Man, the giant engine cracked me up.
They should have tried put the gas up to full in the beginning in the ''STIRTHETANK''
this game looks awesome, first time in a while since i've seen something new that looks genuinely interesting and fun. Sold!
"Here's your mace of...roving." I miss Dave so much.
My dream game is this game, but you can also colonize other planets in the solar system, and then eventually other solar systems
Those poor Kerbs never stood a chance
It was a solid booster, so the throttle isn't used.
Squad (Developers for KSP) are from Mexico. :)
how to get the game?
Sounds good - where / when can we do this?
You guys basically made a manned firework. for the first half of the video thanks to rockets inside of rockets.
You had too many engines occupying the same space, didn't you see the Z-Fighting? That's why you kept blowing up, there should have been 6 engines but you had 12 in the space of 6. Love the review, I'm getting it :)
The thrusters on attachs to fuel
i like how the title says quick look but the vid is 1 hour long
Awsome description
33:17 we're doing okay... he says with the rocket spiraling towards the ground... hilarious video guys. :p
A success in this playthrough means it doesn't explode.
It's all a matter of perspective.
"it's from the guys who made kerbal space program" WONDERFUL! :bravo:
I guess this is your first time in QuickLooks.
Love the Apollo 13 references.
My life would be much better with this game on my computer
36:40 "Like synchronized swimming..." LOL!
And that was the Stone Swan's stone swan song.
you now you can get into a permanent orbit...
That is quick for this game.
I really really want to play this game, but I want to play while you guys narrate =]
Pretty quick compared to a lifetime.
Nutshell usually means short but its an hour long
I love all the Apollo 13 references.
I think it might be the BFG5000 or something like that.
Vinnie: "Don't argue with physics," Dave "It's like trying to throw an umbrella in the air though"!
Oh my god I laughed so hard at the biggest engine. Great vid guys
those wings are all off and its fucking with me
do more of this DO IT
6:26, wait, what? How did he go without the throttle being all the way up? O.o
which mod is the Giant Engine?
Its gonna work.
R.I.P neil armstrong
Vinny gotta watch that Max Q
either a mod or uptade
The first human to walk on the goddamn moon
