Oh the mosin isn't THAT bad if you have a good one. It wasn't meant to ride like a Cadillac, but she will get the job done boys. That's a promise you can count on. That's why I like mine so much. It's tough as nails
Yep, stock fit is a big deal with these. Most people have are refurbs and were thrown in any random stock from a pile. Bedding the rear of the action can make a big difference by itself, or just install some shims. The Finns knew how to make a Mosin shoot great. The best inexpensive trigger mod for a Mosin is to buy a Finn modified trigger. They installed two small pins to make it two stage and it helps a ton. They also either filed down Russian sear springs to make the trigger lighter, or made their own that were lighter. Installing one of those helps too. I've tried all the little spring and washer kits, none even come close to just sticking a Finn trigger in. It's a drop in replacement, no permanent modification needed.
Honestly I don’t know why people see the kick and the trigger is bad on them?? I just barely got one and shot it the kick wasn’t bad at all at least not for me and the trigger was just fine not a bad trigger pull at all I don’t understand why people say this but then again I’ve only shot mine I have never shot any other so maybe they are not all the same all I know is mine was just fine no complaints..
Nice score on the ammo. Haven't seen crates for 200 bucks in a couple years, and last time I did was Sportsmansguide and they sold out in minutes. They had them for a couple months at some outrageous price, then dropped them down to 200 bucks one day out of the blue. I can't remember how I happened to catch it that day, but glad I did. I would buy several if I saw them for that price now, you could always sell them if you didn't shoot em.
I've had good luck with that rubber butt pad. Drill the holes all the way through and you'll feel a big reduction in felt recoil. And a couple of nights in soaking in a bowl of water with Dawn will kill the smell quickly.
Put a shoulder saver on it and that helps tremendously. I did the Finnish trigger adjustment and that fixed that. Sticky bolt, be happy it will loosen up. But the sticky bolt guns seem to shoot tighter groups. I scoped mine and bent the bolt. And I have shot it out to 960 yards. It is still one of my favorite guns to shoot. It loves the Tulla, military and Monarch. But aim points per ammo changes. So find what it likes and stick with it. for me, Tula and Monarch.
Recommends cheap Chinese crap, fusses about stench, uses cheap Chinese tape measure. And if you can't hack a little tap from a Nugget, go back to paintball.

I absolutely love my m1944. It isnt nearly as accurate as my brothers custom assembled AR15 but it makes way bigger holes in things :)
BLUTO'S SPINACH never thought to look. I just load it and shoot. It isnt a perfect survivor but the numbers match and it fires every round.
Plus the fireballs - a AR15 can't do that!
I gotta say nice job on the customization's without destroying the rifle`s original history. might incorporate a few ideas for mine thanks
Nice vid & awesome job with that ammo box,I’m stealing that idea
Forgot to say cleaning out all the cosmoline from the action so your bolt stops sticking! :P
My air compressor did the job for me.

a scope on a M44 ...ohhh nooooooo

When it comes to the rubber butt pad, drill out the hole impressions it has. It makes the pad squish a whole lot more. Way better recoil reduction.

If I can, I’m just going to buy an m39.
old wooden stocks sometimes Warp in storage .. ..
that ushanka is in issue in the Russian fed
that is a awesome deal you got on ammo! great vid! spring trigger kit a must :)
Shes not perfect but I love her
Forget improving your Mosin just leave it as is. Instead buy the improved Finnish version of the Mosin, the M39.
I like my bayonet on my M44 too much
Tip number 6 buy a gun vise
2 or 300? hahahah...
why on cloudy day ?
You can see the muzzle blast, which is quite huge.
Another reason they aren't the most accurate is the sights are slightly offset to counter the weight of the bayonet.

I traded a little ace derringer for my mosin nagant 91/30. I paid $100 for the little ace
