  • Have you ever wondered where the tropical fruit nurseries & groves get their wholesale stock? In this feature video, we unveil the largest of these sought-after secret locations right here in South Florida.
Why would we share a nursery that only sells to other businesses? For a really good reason.
Zill High Performance Plants is #1 in the country when it comes to new & top-notch Mango cultivars! Not to mention, they carry just about all the most requested fruit trees for tropical/subtropical Florida! The scale of this location is a visual cue into the countless number of fruit trees that get brokered out for fellow growers & moderate-sized nurseries.
As mentioned in the video, they do not sell to the public & they do not ship. You must have a business/resale license to contact Zill High Performance Plants. (wholesale / bulk orders only)
If you would like to purchase from us & are within the Tampa Bay area, or are willing to make the drive - we offer many items from our private nursery inventory. Many of these plants are reserved for our upcoming clients/projects, but if you would like to shop our availability, you can see the full list here - www.greendream...

I live in Miami, Florida born and raised. Gosh, there were mangoes everywhere. Neighbors did not mind if we climbed their trees and spent a couple of hours climbing and then eating them. There were lots of them on the ground as trees were loaded and many just fell and went to waste. It was paradise. Then, we had an influx of people that did not like any kind of tree and cut so many trees down, even oak. Yards were cemented and now mangoes are sold on the side of the road as well as avocados for more money than I care to spend. We have a home near Coconut Grove and we have two mango trees, one starfruit. We treasure them, and like you we are organic. This was nice to see, I have never heard of them, but am betting that they are close.

I'm from SEA and mango is probably my most favourite among tropical fruits. A delicious cold dessert which can be made from ripe mangoes is ''mango with tapioca pearls''. But I love eating it unripe (as in sour-green) with some savoury shrimp paste. I hope these young trees will grow healthily and yield lots of fruits for the gustatory happiness of many. Thank you for sharing.

In Hawaii they call it "mango rash". Of course I didn't find that out until I had it, after having a bounty of Hayden mangoes which I ate, froze and made into pies. Fingers and around the mouth. BUT it cured my poison oak allergy, which I realized after exposure in the California Sierras.

Thank you for Highlighting my comment. I am glad the fresh mangos are the the ones you have to look out for. Up here in Michigan, we don't get the fresh mangos.🌺🌺🌺🌴🌴🌴🌺🌺🌺🌴🌴🌴🌺🌺🌺🌴🌴🌴🌺🌺🌺🌴🌴🌴🌺🌺🌺🌴🌴🌴🌺🌺🌺🌴🌴🌴🌺🌺🌺🌴🌴🌴🌺🌺🌺🌴🌴🌴🌺🌺🌺🌴🌴🌴🌺🌺🌺🌴🌴🌴🌺🌺🌺🌴🌴🌴🌺

I just am really interested in what plants grow where, and mangos are one of my favorites. Looking online for tropical fruit is one of my favorite hobbies. Yet up here you don't get the same freshness or variety. Thank you for Highlighting my comment. Keep a growing!!!🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌺🌺🌺

Pete, do you know where I can purchase a 25 gallon potted Duncan grapefruit? Hard to find. Also, when will those tangerines you planted, grafted, still be ready to purchase. I want to plant in Pensacola. Thanks

Pictures of the fruit and tree is usually best for identification. I’d share them on a Facebook mango page.

They are about 1/2 the usual retail cost, like most items in life. This is a wholesale only nursery they only sell to resellers with business license, in large orders.

We aren’t too far from central Florida. The big ones are in homestead and pine island on the west coast.
