The amount of people willing to argue that Putin destroyed his own pipeline was absolutely staggering to me. You would think after COVID people would be a little more skeptical when consuming news media.

I'm in Canada - the CBC completely ignored Hersh's article, and then after the recent NYT piece about a "pro-Ukrainian group" the CBC immediately covered it. The Ombudsman and head of CBC News have not replied to my repeated questions about why the CBC has chosen to bury this story. If you're Canadian, I would encourage you to write the CBC Ombudsman and Brodie Fenlon, the head of CBC News and make your thoughts known.
The CBC follows the direction of the CSIS Five-Eyes security state. Not worth listening to anymore the bs they put out follows in lock step with the US.
Also leave comments on all of their social media sites.
Ignoring Hersh's fanfiction is the appropriate response for any serious news outlet.

Brilliant. Seymour is one of the rare older generation of honest journalists. I remember being told of atrocities by US soldiers when I was an apprentice. I was told stories by someone who knew a US deserter. That was in 1968.

Russian turned off the valves on NS1 and NS2 never carried any fuel whatsoever. Russia invaded Ukraine in an illegal war of aggression and then Germany refused to certify the completion of NS2. So Russia killed NS1 in an attempt to kill innocent Europeans and Germany killed NS2 in retaliation. The owners of the NordStream pipeline are Germany and Russia. When the bombs exploded both NS pipes are already dead.

Seymor did what by definition the press and journalists should do, but are now less likely to do - keep our government in check. IMO Seymor deserves a public recognition for that such that we set an example for the other sleeping press individuals.
His biography is as impressive as it is spotless. He should have been a role model for younger journalists, but I am afraid that younger generations are more prone to ideological blindness than their predecessors.
Most of the media will not keep them in check, but they certainly receive checks from them 😂

There's no evidence pointing to literally anyone. Everyone is pointing fingers at everyone, even Poland has gotten mixed up in it, but there's no evidence to support any country's accusation of another. I like this channel, but this video is honestly not one of the better ones. Anyone that can get on here and talk for almost an hour about PURE SPECULATION with NO EVIDENCE is a BAD piece of journalism. It's spurious if not conspiratorial and not at all logically based.
Nowadays it takes tremendous courage to speak the truth.
A perfect storm is brewing in the United States. Inflation, bank collapse, severe drought in the agricultural belt, recession, food shortages, diesel fuel and heating oil shortages, baby formula shortages, available automobile shortages and prices, the price of living place.

It seems most of the Germans living the representative "democracies" of Germany and Austria felh for Nazism but the Germans of direct democracy Switzerland did not fall for it, it seems it never crossed their minds to feel "superior" and therefore dominate and discriminate against the French, Italian and Romansh minorities, nor did they do to the Jews what we all know. Like he claimed that a Norwegian mine clearing diving crew visited the place recently as part of a military exercise in the Baltic sea.
But that Norwegian demining ship was not even there during this exercise.
The demining ships that did take part in the exercise never stopped near the spots where the pipelines where blown.
Most of them didn't even pass over it.
He claimed that Norway used airplanes to drop activation boys using planes that Norway didn't even have.
USA flew such a plane above the site after the pipes where already blown.

That's how these things usually work. The German population also weren't asked before the Nazis attacked Poland. The British population weren't asked before Bush junior attacked Iraq and Afghanistan (and their huge anti-war demonstration in London was ignored). The Russian population wasn't asked before the attack on Ukraine. And so on.
Sometimes these wars are actually about protection against aggression, such as the threat of an ever-expanding NATO for Russia. But usually they are primarily about some influential people profiting financially. Occasionally, the population's consent is manufactured, as on all sides in the case of the First World War, or in the case of Brexit (not a war, but in many ways similar). But if that doesn't work, it's usually done anyway.
I understand your disillusionment but without a more direct form of democracy these things will always happen.
People tend to associate US 'neo-Cons' purely with the right ie the Republican Party but unfortunately it now seems that the Democrats are just as likely if not more likely to exhibit and act upon these hideously reckless ill-judged attempts at US muscle flexing.
