I have the same problem with rear brakes, as you stated, we should clean disks regularly, it helps in braking. Also you should check your chain play, it must be between 25 - 30 mm, you have all the necessary tools to adjust chain plan in your bike's toolkit. It improves my bike's rear end braking.
