Everybody in here is complaining about the camera work... and I'm going to join in.
I counted how many up-close shots there were focusing on each member.
Baekhyun - 6 up-close shots, some of which were during Chen or Xiumin's lines
Chen - 4 close-up shots, one of which was partially during Baekhyun's line, as it focused on Chen during his line and never switched to Baekhyun, it just stayed on Chen
Xiumin - A grand total of 1 close-up shot. This was was while Baekhyun was in front of him, so you couldn't see him properly. There was kind of another one, but it was was only on a technicality, as that particular camera was intended to be a long shot of all 3 members, but because they had circled the stage, Xiumin was the only one stood there, so it ended up being a solo-shot. But it wasn't close up by any stretch.

As a neutral person who dont really stan any group; To be honest this performance left me speechless. The fact that they sing live with very CLEAR & GREAT vocal (especially chen!!! And baekhyun) make me feel wow i'm watching korean boy band group singing POWERFUL live--so rare nowadays! The best performance in both MAMA in japan & hongkong goes to them. Exo cbx, keep it up!

don't blame the cameramen on the screen time. they are always on stand by, it's the PD who decide which camera to use in any moment of the performance. probably every member have a camera with them all the time and some cameras in other angles and some in the audience. PD's controls the camera transitions. sometimes the cameramen are not on good position and the PD suddenly chose the camera then we're like wtf are they filming. trust me live shots like this is so difficult they may have planned the camera positions and transitions already but some situation is inevitable and this is not pre-recorded that they can delete a footage and use the other cams footage it it happens to take bad shots.
after all, the performance is great.
OMG YES, i totally get it. Live shots are so difficult to film. I tried my hand at live feed once before, and oh god, being a camerawoman is tiring. you have to constantly follow the movements smoothly. and yeah, it's the PD that directs the camera transitions, and he can instruct you through an in-ear on what to focus on filming. But because it's live feed, there could be situations where it's not favourable. plus, these cameramen probably has to shoot more than just one live performance, it's hard to memorise every single movement and follow through exactly.
The thing here is the stage is too high for the cameraman, mnet is wrong here, they should know that the camera angles will look weird. They should have prepared it properly...
