You are right, the reason Saama Dynasty is not mentioned here is because of its significance with reference to the history of Karachi. All Sindhi dynasties mentioned here are used because of their importance in reference to the history of the region which we call Karachi.

The Trade Route to Multan was via the Indus River. You must have heard about a place called Jhirk (Jerruck is the other name I think). It's where Quaid e Azam is said to have been born according to some people. Jhirk is where an earlier Aga Khan came and settled. So Jhirk was a prime port for journeys upstream and downstream to Multan and back. Later, when the waters in the Indus reduced, this upcoming port was abandoned. As you might know, there was a port called Barbaricon near bhambhore which is mentioned in Roman writings about 2000 years ago. Please read a book or guide called The Periplus of the Eritherian Sea. There are another ruins of a fort Jakhi Bunder, which is near Port Qasim which seems more viable because it's on the Indus Delta. Keep on your research.

I hope there is part 3 in detail and talks about Karachi during British rule.My grandfather was professor in DJ Sindh college and Karachi was dominated by highly educated sindhi Hindus.Tragically all had to leave in 1947-after reaching india most were extremely successful-if you check out the list of top educational institutes in Bombay (now Mumbai) they were all started by ex professors of DJ Sindh college. Most successful builders in Mumbai are Sindhis.Sindhis in india are considered to be most modern, successful, educated and hardworking people unlike Pakistan where Sindhis are supposed to be lazy, and only after government job-I have always wondered whether this difference is due to them following different religions or it is because traditionally refugees are hardworking and successful or the third possible reason being that the educated rich class migrated leaving behind their poor brethren who coincidentally were Muslims. The third reason is more plausible .Even in case of the other migrants who came from India to Sindh -as in comment sections we generally hear that the Muhajir community is hard working and successful while in India the view about Muslims from UPetc(from where Muhajirs migrated) is that of a backward and uneducated community.
It would be interesting to understand what makes Sindhis in India and Muhajirs in Pakistan more successful than the local population.
Another major difference between india and Pakistan is that in india the local languages are prime while in Pakistan a language that is an import from India is more important than all four local languages.it’s in imaginable in india for any language except local language being the sole official language of that state.

History of kelakot :Rawal Siddh Devraj, V.No. 909-1030 (AD 852-973) and Jam Lakha Fulani were contemporaries. 2 Jam Lakha Vs.No. Became the ruler of Kelakot in 901 (844 AD) History of kelakot :Jam Lakha Jadecha Bhati's capital 'Kelakot' was situated eight-nine kos (25 km) south of Bhuj city in Kutch region and five kos (15 km) away from the sea coast. It is said that he had built a series of seven kots in the hills along the Bhadresar river in the Kutch peninsula and in addition to these, he had built eight more kots at a distance of fifteen kos from Rajkot. These eight coats were collectively called 'Aathkot'. Local people believe that he named his capital 'Kairkot' in memory of his queen Kair, which later came to be known as 'Kelakot'. During his reign Kelakot state was under Nagarthatta Pargana of Sindh Pradesh.

Another very informative episode Shafaat sb. However few observations.
    1. You style is very good. However from this style it appears as if Karachi was a metropolitan city in last 1000 years. No. There were human settlements in prehistoric era but no big city. In pre Islamic time Debol was a big city. But destroyed in earthquake in 8th century. Then it started by Bhojomal. Otherwise too small to be mentioned in any history or travelogue.
    2. Turkish Admiral Saeed was sent by probably Suleman the magnificent to recce this area. He wrote a book مراۃ العروس. He mentioned Gawader and Gujrat where he finally landed and travelled back to Istanbul thru today's Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan. He didn't mentioned Karashi as this name was coined about 200 after him. I have that book if interested I can forward its PDF.
    3. Abdullah Ghazi story is right. He was hiding in this area as this was very thinly populated at that time so a good place for him to hide.
    4. My view point is Karachi area has never been part of Sindh and mostly neglected by Sindhi and Balochi rulers as there was no rich settlement here. That is why before Bhojomal it is not mentioned in any Sindhi or Balochi Gov archive.
Even if you look at the geography of Karachi (may be use Google) you will see it is quite different from rest of the sindh.
Anyway, I appreciate your efforts. Keep doing it. Will wait for your next episode.

27:21 Lahiri may not mean Lahori but Lyari. Think about it. Lyari river (now Lyari Expressway) must be fully flowing at that time. Lyari Town is just next to the river/expressway occupied mostly by Balochs. On the other side of Lyari is the Kutiyana Memon Hospital. After which is the present day Karachi Port which is a natural port basically. The Old Town area of Karachi must be where the Hindu Seth built the walls. Makes sense. Thanks for the valuable informative videos on Karachi.
