@@Syertse Oh no I was late! Will wait for future artbooks! Btw, I love your content and share the love of Fire Emblem and artbooks, got 4 FE artbooks now, love the art and concept ❤ Thanks!
This is helpful, even though I'm going to print and physically put it all together myself! I'm trying to decide between a book and a zine. I don't really like binding tape, but maybe I could get some custom made or do something to the tape myself, now that I think about it.
If you only plan on making a few, with not too many pages, you could look into binding your zine with a saddle stitch! It holds the pages well and isn't too difficult to do, just make sure you practice of scrap paper before doing it on your actual copy. Good luck!
I used catprint to print the zine but I can't remember the exact paper, just that the cover is thicker than the inside pages and it has a glossy finish! Hope that helps!
Syertse plsss answer mee!!! I also wanted to make a fanzine but i have some problemm. About the canvas part. I planned to print the book in an A5 size, not too big. So pls tell me what canvas size should i use before drawing?? The pixels? The dpi? I literally don't know anything about this😭 i really hope you can enlighten me Cz im just scared if my work need to be cropped if i want to print it out later🙏🙏
Hi Suzy, if you're printing in A5 size when the book is closed one page would be 5.8 x 8.3 inches. Although if you're planning on printing it you'll need to have a larger file size than that to account for the "bleed" , this ensures that when the page is trimmed, nothing important in the artwork is cut off. A good rule of thumb is to add .25 to your file size in both width and height for that. Although my best recommendation is to check the site or email the printing company that you're planning on working with so that they can give you the exact dimensions since different companies request their files differently. I hope that helps, good luck!

What website did u contact and do they charge for the proofs ?
The website I used was Catprint and I believe there was a fee. Maybe the first one was free and the other ones there was a fee, but im not sure.
