- FLUFFED THE OPENING LINE. My Best Man Speech at my friends wedding. Good times and one of the greatest fun filled days in my life. A bit of fun and British humour and comedy. @Paul The previous thing he said was that it's a sad day for single men because they won't ever get to date or marry the beautiful girl. He said for the single ladies today passed by without much of a ripple meaning nobody cares because the man is ugly lol. A ripple is a small wave that happens as a result when a small object drops into still water

@Paul "Ripple" is a drink favored by some lower-class folk, and since there was a ban on it at the time, not much of it was going to be consumed. It's history-based; hardly a surprise you'd not get it.

I have only been a best man once, and I was shit! This guy nails it. Loved to have had his confidence.
I think my daughter and her boyfriend will be getting married soon, and I hope, thanks to watching this chap I will be making a good confident Father of the bride speech. Maybe not as saucy though lol.

The child managed to cry over 15 minutes and all of the "shhhh shhhh shhhhhhh" did not work. What's that supposed to tell the parents? Right... show finally respect to all the other and leave the room. Anyway, brilliant speech.

I think the groom took it really well, he was squirming a bit, but he enjoyed it not knowing what was coming. Only his best mate and here, his best man could get away with this banter. I loved it! And what a great wedding. Everyone and the venue looked classy.
He might have been squirming a lot, and I don't blame him at all, but at 12:31 you can see hims say "He's so funny."

My best mate had an adults only wedding and it was the best one I've been to, not bored annoying kids running about or crying over nothing.
My sister also had a NO CHILDREN wedding & reception. Of course there were a few guests would dragged their young screaming kiddos but she & my brother-in-law had anticipated that & hired babysitters. I daresay that child had a pair of lungs that strangely lasted ALL THROUGH THE TOAST--someone should have had the decency to slit its throat for the entire ceremony. Or the next best thing: take the child outside & let it wail to its heart's content.
But sometimes it's the kids that make a wedding funny too! When all the pleasentries are done let them be, but within your control, they will learn from it.

Good speech, and well delivered. There are 3 general elements to a good wedding speech:
1. Intro - welcome everyone and thank them for coming
2. 3 stories - funny, touching, sentimental
3. Wrap - be sure to include what the Bride and Groom want you to say

Totally agree. Watched this so many times now and shown it so many friends and it still makes me laugh every time. He reminds me of Olly Murs cheeky chappie!! This is the ORIGINAL and GREATEST (non-singing) BEST MAN SPEECH on UA-cam IMHO. Seen so many people try and copy this guys gags etc but his timing and delivery are very difficult to match under pressure and with a baby crying he smashed it out of the park. TOTAL RESPECT to this guy he absolutely nailed it. PERFECT JOB MAN. Thumbs up!!

This speech is absolutely epic!! Best I have seen on youtube yet by a long way. The delivery and timing and material are all pitched perfectly. Cant praise this speech enough. 16mins is long but it flies by and flows brilliantly and gets better and better and better. I've watched it 3 times now and it always cheers me up and makes me laugh so much every time!! You should be a professional best man speech writer!!
