In cases where the pallet is constructed with graphite or rubber, shaving would not be possible. I created a video for the International Alliance of Racquet Technicians on the process of shaving down a grip. It's currently on their website and can be viewed as a Premium Member. Aloha, Using the heat shrink sleeve will maintain the bevels, but no matter how you build up a grip, it will round off the edges to some degree.
