I have during livestreams. I just don't like overwhelmingly long videos. But to note on this, it doesn't bring a GPS by default. You have to install it yourself.

I think the main hardware difference between the extreme and the extreme+, is the extreme uses a Qualcomm QM215 and the extreme+ uses a Mediatek MT6761

Sadly, there are no good options for heavy texting on Verizon. I’d recommend either a Jelly 2 or a Unihertz Titan Pocket since they have either the google assistant or a full keyboard. It’s tough for Verizon since they don’t support many of the great phones available in the market.
As a recovering heavy internet addict, on the one hand, this appeals to me, still having maps, whatsapp, signal and such, like very rudimentary tools. On the other hand, even a stupid smart thing like this terrifies me... that I might just end up still listening non-stop to audiobooks or excessively watching UA-cam on an even smaller screen. So I have two questions regarding the LP 2: 1) With the LP 2... can you completely disable the audiobook (well, podcast) fuction? Do you like the display orientation of side loaded apps on this Kyocera xv extreme or schok classic? In your reviews and this update, the maps seem to adapt to the phones default orientation to display the apps menus and full layout, similar to the cat s22 inwhich, have google store built into it. I purchased and returned the Sonim xp3 today because,i had trouble with running some of my essential apps for work and libby for audiobooks. My perfect phone whorls be a flip phone to talk but with exterior screen with gps and apps, while other screen when you opened but instead of keyboard with numbers, letters. I haven’t found anything like that yet.

But talking about the style of unfolding the phone to talk is really cool hahaha. But sure the don’t make them as functional as other phones. For example the key board could be a small screen with letters. The Gps is not functional in those phones neither.

How can you simultaneously be on the phone talking to someone, retrieve a text from the person you are talking to -- and then go back to the phone line -- without disconnecting the conversation? ...My insurance company often expects me to retrieve a texted code at the same time that I am talking to them on the phone.......I do not know how to do this without ending the phone conversation, retrieving the text and then calling the person back....Any input will be much appreciated ! At the bottom of the screens, say setting up an alarm, there are text options to edit but I don’t know what to push to edit? We recharged the phone and now there is nothing on the screen. What happened? Very frustrating
the software is very vaguely related. Same thing with the ANS F30 and Orbic Journey V. I believe they started with the same set of licensed software patches to AOSP but Kyocera has been improving on them over years. You'll find that many of the apps on both like the music player and clock apps are identical but the entire experience on a Kyocera device is just so much more stable and polished.

You can always reduce the speed of the video to 0.75 or 0.5 times. It is on the settings of the UA-cam app. I'll try to slow down for the future. Thanks for the feedback

Just experiment with it dude, put it in usb debugging mode, hook it up to your PC and and see where all the other app data is

Apk files are blocked on the Sunbeam sadly.
Is there a way to set the screen to a fixed mode so that it won't fade out if you don't touch the keypad? Like, an "always-on" display?

This is possible. You need to press the back button and not end call button

I was able to side load many apps like Spotify and signal. But I was unable to get Uber or Lyft unfortunately. I havnt tried in 4+ months

It's normal. You have to fully close it.

Get the CAT S22 flip for that. While technically possible to install an app here, it won't be a great experience for that functionality.

Yes. They are starting to shut down the site. I recommend you look for MATVT mouse on Github. It's the same mouse and it works on the Kyocera

Only main function that will not work is hotspot. You can buy the Kyocera Dura XA Equip (same phone, but unlocked for T-mobile with all functions)
@@JoseBriones Thank you, sir! Actually was just looking at your Sonim XP3 + video. That might be a better fit with TMobile and gives me what I’m looking for (dumbphone (no Google etc/privacy), ability to load signal, podcast app).
@@JoseBriones actually just ordered a Cat S22. Was looking at comments in your Sonim video and saw that Signal is not useful on Sonim :) Cat is a little smarter than I like but oh well. Been on LightPhone 2 for a year. But want to test drive something else
