YES, I LOVE IT WHEN WE GET THINGS LIKE THIS
Hearing the raw vocals as they were recorded shows just how exptessive Calli's delivery is. And AI's voice works so well with Calli's.
The transition from minor to major in the chorus is a great touch too. Its a really big part of the song's personality.
It really feels like you're going through struggles and hardships and then coming out stronger on the other side.
Like, mori seems to give her empowerment anthems way more kick than a lot of artists, and it might be because she's content on letting a lot of the empowerment show through the music instead of just relying on the lyrics and also because she's not afraid to get specific and show struggles.

Both Calli and Ai-san move seamlessly between English and Japanese which makes the track even more impressive.
All three songs that Mori Calliope and Koichi Tsutaya have worked on together are fantastic. I love how they are all in different genres. I hope they continue to collab in the future to create more fantastic and unique sounding songs.
I don't know how this video ended up on my recommendations, but this was a pleasant watch. I especially appreciate the translation of all the conversations.

It's really interesting to hear about the song's inspirations, like drawing from The Greatest Showman and trap as well as gospel, and hearing the song described as where major and minor keys intersect, I think that essence is conveyed really well.
Also getting to see Koichi-san, Ai-san, and Calli in the studio; taking notes, making mistakes and improvements, recording, riffing-- it's great!

I know its a lot of work making songs, but sometimes you really don't fully understand it until you see these videos. Some songs seem more challenging to make and this song sounded relatively easy (it sounds simple and natural, yet different). Then again I am not musically inclined, CDaugVA music is just beeps and boops over here.
But seeing how many different vocals and recordings playing on each other really makes you wonder how much time and effort does all songs take. I was also surprised there wasn't more interactions between Mori and AI. I would of figured they would of talked in person about what they wanted to do with the song. Maybe they didn't show it.
Considering the fact she's a corporate vtuber who can't show her face...... yeah, they probably just didn't show it. lol
