  • This week I´m showing the technique I use when modelling dovetailed log cabins from scratch in wood. Same time celebrating the Swedish Midsummer tradition and giving the scene a touch of that celebration.

Hi MarklinofSweden - Just to let you know that in the UK we also call the 'buying of a ticket and picking it out a bucket' Tombola - not lottery. Tom bola mis mostly associated with Summer fête. Keep up the good work. I love your sense of humour

I love that you use PVA for more than just gluing things. I have been using it for years to add clothing and hair details to my miniatures (28mm fantasy figures), and have also used it to cast small pieces of scenery.

Fantastic. I love your videos. I'm not a modeler, but at 60 years old these videos take me way back and make me consider doing it again. I'm long term sick and find your videos very therapeutic. Thank you. (In the UK they are called 'cotton buds').

Hi Graham! Thank you for the kind words! It really warms my heart. ”Long time sick” I’m sorry to hear that! Is it any recovery in sight, or is it cronical? If you like I could send you a set of modelling materials to get you started. If you like please feel free to become my Patron on patreon.com/marklinofsweden There you can get Hi-res photos and video logg updates from my workshop + you’re supporting the channel. ”Cotton buds” Thank you! It’s noted!

@@marklinofsweden Thanks Marklin (Is that right?), it's an incurable autoimmune disease Myasthenia Gravis. Unfortunately the drugs cause me to shake too much to do anything intricate at the moment, putting sugar in my coffee is a two handed challenge, but the doctors promise improvement and an eventual reduction in the drugs. Thank you for your very kind offer, I may well come back to you on it. In the mean time I shall continue to enjoy your YT content. I would love to become a patron but unfortunately as I've not worked for 2 years we just get by on my wife's wages and she wouldn't be impressed. Best wishes for your channel and thank you again both for the offer and the entertainment.
You Tube really has come on over the last couple of years, it's my go to now rather than TV.

Hi Henry. No.. PVA-glue.. The sort I´m using is water based and called type B, so PVA-B glue.. The guys in the shop should be able to guide you to the right product with that information.
