Scratch build realistic dovetailed log cabin
Вставка
- Опубліковано 21 чер 2018
- This week I´m showing the technique I use when modelling dovetailed log cabins from scratch in wood. Same time celebrating the Swedish Midsummer tradition and giving the scene a touch of that celebration.

Thank you sir for all of your insight. I come to your vid’s for all of my endeavors. You are awesome…
Hi MarklinofSweden - Just to let you know that in the UK we also call the 'buying of a ticket and picking it out a bucket' Tombola - not lottery. Tom bola mis mostly associated with Summer fête. Keep up the good work. I love your sense of humour
Total Awesomeness.....
Appreciate your work!
once again ... bravo and thanks
Very nice!
Beautiful work!
Hello, I only want to thank you, as you are always so happy and optimistic that it is a fantastic start of a day watching your tutorials.
The real Midsommar! Very cool, love your tutorials, so informative.
Great video again👍🏻 I'm looking forward to the next one.
Tolles Video und die Ideen Daunen hoch 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing simply amazing
Very very beautiful.
Helt fantastiskt!
Beautiful job! I hope you had a wonderful midsommar.
Thanks for the tutorial. Placing the maskingtape on the back is a very useful tip!

Fascinating viewing.
A very interesting and detailed video. Thanks for the time and effort you put in.
G'day from down here, we obviously had the shortest day of the year . Another string to your bow, Terry
That's cool! I did not know about Swedish Midsummer. Looks like fun.
Really like ur techniques on cutting balsa and getting the right paint colors.
Brilliant!! I’m working on the first section of my first layout, a campground, and have been looking for something just like this building to add to it. Thank you.
A great and very detailed tutorial. As I am far from Sweden, I will just use the idea to make a different type of one-story house :) Thanks for the tips!
another nice posting ! keep them coming !
I love that you use PVA for more than just gluing things. I have been using it for years to add clothing and hair details to my miniatures (28mm fantasy figures), and have also used it to cast small pieces of scenery.
You have an amazing attention to detail.
Nice work.
Once again, a very Good Tutorial. Thanks for this.

Midsummer's eve, our true national day. Nice tutorial as always......

Thank you very much Mark! More is coming. I have 25 videos in plan for 2019. Stay tuned! 👍
Lovely---what a charming diorama!
Thank you Sean!
It looks like the original building !! !! !!
that is tops, keep up the good work
Fantastic. I love your videos. I'm not a modeler, but at 60 years old these videos take me way back and make me consider doing it again. I'm long term sick and find your videos very therapeutic. Thank you. (In the UK they are called 'cotton buds').
Hi Graham! Thank you for the kind words! It really warms my heart. ”Long time sick” I’m sorry to hear that! Is it any recovery in sight, or is it cronical? If you like I could send you a set of modelling materials to get you started. If you like please feel free to become my Patron on patreon.com/marklinofsweden There you can get Hi-res photos and video logg updates from my workshop + you’re supporting the channel. ”Cotton buds” Thank you! It’s noted!
@@marklinofsweden Thanks Marklin (Is that right?), it's an incurable autoimmune disease Myasthenia Gravis. Unfortunately the drugs cause me to shake too much to do anything intricate at the moment, putting sugar in my coffee is a two handed challenge, but the doctors promise improvement and an eventual reduction in the drugs. Thank you for your very kind offer, I may well come back to you on it. In the mean time I shall continue to enjoy your YT content. I would love to become a patron but unfortunately as I've not worked for 2 years we just get by on my wife's wages and she wouldn't be impressed. Best wishes for your channel and thank you again both for the offer and the entertainment.
You Tube really has come on over the last couple of years, it's my go to now rather than TV.
Fantastiskt fint, realismen år 100 % !
Hi, Like the tutorial(s), so creative and relaxed, you make them so very detailed and do seem easy to do... hope they really are that easy...
As always a great video and a very nice diorama!
I'm going to sweden in 3 weeks for summer holiday and hope to get some nice photos to use as building references :-) greets from Austria!
USA here. You sure are very talented. Not easy when my hand shake when i try to do small stuff. My layout is shelf type. :) I wish i know where to get how to books on hobby motors, and the motors and gears.
Super tolle Arbeit, schöne Grüße aus Deutschland
Отлично, супер!!!
凄い!!
so cool
Mycket fint. Det skall jag införa även på min anläggning Glad sommar
Wow!!
Fantastiskt gjort! 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻
Veri veri good.
Molto suggestivo bello 👍👍✌️✌ciao !
Muy buenos detalles mi panita sueco...
Once again, a very good tutorial. Thank you for sharing. I went back and checked out your tutorial on the roof corrugation mold with PVA glue. Would Elmers White glue work for me here in the states? Oh, by the way your timing was perfect catching the lovely young lady purchasing her lottery ticket!
same in Ireland it was the longest day too
Bonito tutorial, está dentro de mis proyectos que estoy realizando de maquetismo.
Saludos de Chile..
var köper du din lila styrofom och aluminiumnät, tack för bra videos och fortsätt med det du gör
Wonderful! Do you have any pictures of the cabin with the interior light? (Even if it certainly does not get very dark in Sweden around midsummer)
Where do you purchase your figurines as most of the ones I have found look very cheap. Great tutorial like how you did the log effect on balsa wood.
That specific red tone we call in Germany "Schwedenrot" / "Swedenred"
I think its red oxide in English
Riktigt snyggt. Har en liten fråga var får du tag på led lamporna?
Snyggt bygge av Trädgårdstorp.
Tack Fredrik! 👍
very nice work… what is roof port number?
Amazing how the fast set glue works. From which manufacturer?
Märklin H0-Forum loctite
Can i paint the building with oil paints?
Where's the Surströmming ?
:D
🆗🇫🇷❤️❤️❤️❤️
You should build an American Crack House in the “hood”
Varför inte använda riktig faluröd??
At 1:13 you said ... AND the Midsommar Pole..... !?!?!???
😂 Yeah.. I forgot to include that part! Sorry for that! It’s just a bambu barberque stick cut in two, so no real magic there...
What is PBA glue?
Hi Henry. No.. PVA-glue.. The sort I´m using is water based and called type B, so PVA-B glue.. The guys in the shop should be able to guide you to the right product with that information.
PVA = Poly Vinyl Actate, similar to PVC poly Vinyl Chloride
Can you give me pleas good tips for my train pleas #Rummelplaz
Do you let the public sees this
