Beverley Knight certainly deserves a lot more recognition and exposure.That is one special amazing voice right there,her control and feel is so much like the wonderful great Whitney's was.
I agree she should be more well known because of her talent alone. But by the same token Whitney was a great example of how too much fame, exposure and workload can break a person, no matter how talented. So there's definetly a balance to be found there.
She has her own style and sound, but I've always thought of her as the UK's own Whitney Houston. They are both world-class singers by any measure. But where Whitney became a household name, Bev has never gotten the recognition she truly deserves. That being said, Whitney's fame and the demands of her career eventually broke her, so maybe keeping things low-key and manageable are an intentional choice for Bev and her management? Either way, she rocks!
Whitney was and still is the Best Female Artist that was ever create. Anybody thar sings Whitney’s songs could just imitate them but they will NEVER be duplicated. Nobody had the voice that Whitney had. Her voice was Angelic.
