This is a wonderful tool for a truck specification committee to evaluate a large number of lighting systems in daylight and dark, front, side and rear. The lettering/numbering presentations are also well worth examining for combinations of colors, backgrounds, placement, size and font. Thank you for creating these "best of" compilations, not just for historic and entertainment value, but for practical use by those of us in the emergency first response arena. My nephew used to be enthralled by videos like this when he was younger. Was fascinated with being a fireman and seeing fire trucks.

Oscilasers are my favorite lights. It's a shame most departments are replacing them with LED's.

I noticed at 19:15 an engine had red and green lights on the front. Red on the driver's side and green on the passenger side. This has been a long-standing tradition with the Chicago fire department that started generations ago. It started when a well-loved and respected Chief, who was also an avid yachtsman, decided that he liked the way red and green lights attracted attention on ships and boats and had them put on Chicago fire rigs as part of their emergency lighting. That tradition lives on to this day. I'm wondering if that apparatus was purchased from Chicago FD?
In some places green lights will also indicate a vehicle for HAMZAT situations

Attention Drivers that are too ignorant to get out of the way of emergency vehicles: When you hear a siren that sounds like the whole world just went into DefCon 1 and a billion flashing lights heading toward you at somewhere around 40 MPH it is highly suggested to get out of the way.
