@@MouSotto Is this why I'm able to bang on the starter with a heavy metal rod to get it to work? I've done this successfully several times when I have parked my car for an extended period and the started didn't work. After I banged it several times it worked.

Interesting, so it only needed to cleaned and greased. Thanks for the vid.
Main issue was that one brush was stuck , sometimes however you may have bad seals allowing the oil to get in to the starter and break the connection.

@@MouSotto THIS! Stuck brushes kill functionality, but are completely fixable. Well done!
i never rebuild them until I clean them and I check if it start the engine before put the parts back on.
