I am exactly like you Swapna with same reasons to have more clutter in my wardrobe. But I clear sarees section then and there. I rarely wear sarees , only silk sarees on special occasions. So, I do follow one thing , whenever I receive pettudu sarees which are very good , I give to my auntie who wear sarees regularly. Normal sarees I gift to maids. That’s how I don’t pile up pettudu sarees at home.

Hi Swapna garu 👋 I first heard about the words Minimalism, Decluttering, Capsule wardrobe in 2019 September or October in some random FB group.
Out of my curiosity I did my own research and watched all these UA-cam channels and read some blog posts... I tried many Decluttering ways the Con Mary way, 30 days Decluttering challenge throwing 1 ites on 1st date 2 on 2nd ....till month end 30 or 31st, packing unused things and waiting for some time...., one in one out. Now my house is in mannage able condition. In conmary method we first stat with clothes, but till date I still haven't removed my marriage sarees, but now I buy sarees in such a way which can be converted in to dress for me or my kid after wearing for 3-4 times it's helping me to streamline my clothes

Hi Sapna, how I wonder you spoke my mind. All reasons are very correct. One reason im retaining down size clothes is I may lose weight so that I can wear. Something like motivation😂. Lot of money and emotions involved also stops us from giving away. Even I started this activity actually. Gave away sarees and dresses in condition to maids. Should do again before new year😢. Not just clothes even bedsheets too

I too have given all marriage sarees to maid total value of those 8 sarees is 1and half lakh I carried those for 14 years without using my mom scolded me like a anything how bot what is the use when I don't use them how much ever the cost when we don't use it it's 0 value
