Very nice. Could you build in some gear reduction, so that the motor runs at a higher speed, but the stairs run slower with more torque? That may take out the jitters at a lower speed. Maybe.
How about a system where the force is only at the bottom (or top) and the pieces are essentially grabbed and pushed causing the rest to have to move? Just tossing out ideas. Great stuff again!
