Thank you..I have followed your steps but a little differently...viewer can also do the same thing to quickly solve your problem.another option is there...if you have another monitor with high resolution...connect your pc on that monitor...then follow the 2nd step explained in this video....run command msconfig....boot...base video...apply ok... it will go to restart...your problem solved and reduce the resolution....connect your PC to the problem monitor...it will work...I solved my problem in this way...
