Matchbox new castings are the best they did in a long while. I'm a Matchbox collector and would have got most of them for my collection if it wasn't for the grey plastic bumpers, grill and lights that make them look cheep to my opinion.
Hard to say seeing I only really seen the first release. From what I have seen I like them all. Loved the Pontiac always wanted a clean original. VW was also great. Never seen the blue. If I had to pick a disappointment would be the Xtera only because of the colors released.
Might be a little tough to pick the best but it's not going to be too hard to pick the worst. Once again Matchbox is doing all the right things, tons of excellent cars.
S-2000, for sure. The scale , the details molded into the engine bay, the proportions and overall look are all perfect. Some of these are way too small, like the Mercedes, Buick and Pontiac. Nissan 280Z is WAY too big. I love it but it feels like a Majorette, 1/58 scale at least. X-terra was surprisingly well done. Colours don't effect the metal casting's quality. Would look perfect in a realistic 1/64 scale diorama or train set.
I have 1990's matchbox cars from my childhood with opening doors that snap shut beautifully, but some of these doors are hard to close properly. Please fix.
Lots of nice cars here from Matchbox, difficult to decide as they all look good in their own way. Anyway: Best MP Matchbox: 1980 Porche 911 Turbo. Most Dissapointing MP Matchbox: 2017 Tesla Model X. The plastic doors don't blend well with the rest of the metal body imo.
as a kid, I liked having opening doors and hoods. I had a yellow Majorette Audi 90 with opening doors and a white Toyota pickup with opening hood; they were among my favourite toys. But as an adult collector, I find opening features on a 1:64 is really compromising on detail and I certainly don't buy them to play with them. Unless you're TLV, opening features are for toys and Matchbox makes great toys. My son LOVES opening things up and exploring the mechanisms.
Love the 36 Ford, that's actually a cool Custom from the late 40s, a shop truck for Westergard Customs. So cool that they did this car! I also dig the 63 Chevy pickup even though a few of the details are incorrect (headlight surrounds are supposed to be square, not round, needs more correctly done tampos). The 64 Grand Prix is nice too, and much cheaper than a vintage one! Willys Jeepster is another piece l am glad they did. Thanks again for the video and information
Would be easier to pick if the basic moving parts line was actually showing up in US stores to begin with... :\ However, distribution issues aside, they've been doing a wonderful job on these castings. Hard to pick a favorite, but that Porsche and Fastback VW are so awesome to see return.
hard to tell, for most of the models the casts are good, they've (MBX) come a long way, I know is not easy to make a model, but for me cosmetically most of the models don't cut it, either they have nice tampography in the front then in the back nothing or very poor quality or the other way around, or I could say the same about the sides. Most of the models I buy are carefully inspected visually, I look at the lines, the stripes, the logos, the trims, the licence plates, headlights, markerlights, etc if I find any of these things to be off or misaligned or missing I won't buy the model, I normally go to 3-4 different stores and compare them, the models come from different batches, I know they are cheap toys, not so cheap for some people, yes I am a rivet counter, I want to have a model that everytime I look at it I can say there is almost nothing wrong with it. It is very hard to find that perfect model. I could not find most of these models, so my votes are based only on the models that I personally own. My vote for the most disappointing model is the plastic RENAULT Trezor concept and the BEST model goes to RANGE ROVER VOGUE SE
VERY hard to pick this year! Favourite has to be the Type 3, especially in the blue. Have to say, awesome music and editing on this video, keep up the good work!
I favor American classic and Muscle Cars so i like the 64 Pontiac Grand Prix, 63 Chevy C 10, 83 Buick Riviera,36 Ford Street Rod Panel Van and 32 Ford Model A Street Rod Pickup...
There were a few that I feel did not come out so great and IMO, maybe MBX should not have done them - the VW Bus & BMW i8. My biggest problem with these is that I couldn't find most of them. Of the ones I did find I like the VW fastback and Chev Camaro.
Best casting is a tie between 280Zx and Porsche for me. The tie breaker would go to the 911 though because I like the Deco better on that. Not a fan of the gold Deco on the Z. The Deco reminds me more of 70s disco era then the 80s and the 280ZX is a 80s car even if it was released in 79.
I think MB really knocked it out of the park with the Superfast and Opening Doors lines. I gotta think the best is just going to come down to personal preference on car type and, to be honest, I was not disappointed in any of them. Even the cars that had some features I don't like (like the blacked out windows on the I8) I understand why it had to be that way and the uniqueness of the car/design makes up for it. Maybe in the future you could add a choice for those who weren't disappointed in any of the cars.
Can't really vote because I never a single one of these in the UK. Hypothetically, I wouldn't have hesitated at grabbing the Porsche or that lovely VW Fastback, but then I own original 70s releases of both. That red Benz? I used to have a green original as a small child
My favorite is the white VW fastback/gold HW steelies. The Porsche 911 is also FIRE! The Renault is probably my vote for most disappointing simply because I just dont like the look. In real life it would probably be my favorite however here in Matchbox world... I like more common and life-like, mass-produced vehicles... I wish they did a premium series exclusively for obscure vehicles. Saab 9000, Chrysler Conquest/Mitsubishi Starion, Hyundai Excel, Mitsubishi Mirage, Toyota Paseo, Nissan 200sx SE-R (I had one... that SR20DE was something serious... never did get to install the turbo kit I wanted tho) or maybe even the Camry or atleast Corolla from the mid 90's.
Did u have problems with the hood one one of the camaros closing? I bought 2 of the orange one. Both would get hung up on the window closing and opening.
What happened to the blue one with the white driver. The original version was also blue with 86 on the "hood". I believe there was also one released in 1969 with a "69" on the hood in place of the "86". Since its such a unique "retro" casting were your thoughts that it would be voted most disappointing by a landslide and so not include it??
Great video! Can you by chance do some reviews on inno64 cars, these cars are highly detailed and blow most diecast cars out of the water at the 1/64 scale and at there price point. I just got the inno64 endless altezza on Ebay and its crazy how detailed it is for a 1/64
I have a few of these there are few nice ones still need to get a few more I see. Matchbox are doing very well with their cars. The only one I'm disappointed in is the Riviera it is to small compare to the others. my favorite is the Nissan. I haven't seen the other ones at all
The best one for me is the Range Rover. They nailed that model. Only the tyres are a bit ugly but other than that, this one is a major winner for me. They did a good job making the plastic tailgate match with the metal body, it had good details and it's nicely proportioned. My second place would be the Corvette. That one also looks great, but because that casting already existed previously and they only added the opening bonnet, I'll give the vote to the Range Rover. But I like both equally. Most disappointing is really tough because all of them are good but the one model that I was excited for that didn't live up to my expectations is the Porsche 930 Turbo. The casting is a bit off, sits too high, the wheels aren't the nicest and they got the rear spoiler wrong. Long story short, it looks slightly cartoonish and doesn't look accurate to real life (like the Range Rover does).
Worst: The Renault...Really....what WERE they thinking on this one? Just looks absolutely terrible... Best: Everything BUT the Renault.....though, the '36 Custom Ford Sedan and '32 Ford Pickup Would come closest to topping my list. But, Matchbox really is hitting home runs these days. (and they can be forgiven for the Renault as a result.)
For sure the 63 Chevy C/10 I wish our Weyburn Walmart hurry and get that one in I know for sure I will buy 4 of them up and possibly more I like over the HotWheels Custom 62 Chevy C/10 idiotic low rider the reason I got the 62 was that was the year I was born and also my first vehicle I bought when I was 16yo
Willys Jeep Station Wagon is best. Wanted one in die cast ever since It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. Worst is Nissan Xterra. High time they did a new casting for this vehicle. It's proportioned all wrong (wheels are too small, back end is too long, etc., overall it's just too large).
Lamley, this hobby is turning into a train wreck. This year I had a collector named Dino Cuccia aka MYNAMEISMUD on HWC threaten in person and out in public in front of a line of people to physically assault me over this hobby. Also Mattel doesn't seem to give any regard to it. I complained to Mattel employees at the event and they did nothing, not even bring out any security. They just said if he hit me that they would close up and nobody would be able to participate in the event. I called the cops after I bought my materials from the event. I think I'm dropping Mattel from my purchasing next year. People in this hobby really need to straighten up.
Matchbox new castings are the best they did in a long while. I'm a Matchbox collector and would have got most of them for my collection if it wasn't for the grey plastic bumpers, grill and lights that make them look cheep to my opinion.
I agree I won't be buying any grey bumper or grill cars. If every body did the same Mattel would get the message. Leave them on the pegs
The best to me is the white superfast corvette...engine detail is amazing!!! Fantastic job matchbox.
I love that 280zx! Not a casting you see too often.
My favorite moving parts cars are the Buick Rivera Tesla Model X Ford Crown Victoria and the Jeep Willy’s
Hard to say seeing I only really seen the first release. From what I have seen I like them all. Loved the Pontiac always wanted a clean original. VW was also great. Never seen the blue. If I had to pick a disappointment would be the Xtera only because of the colors released.
I been looking for that matchbox Buick Riviera for months now with absolutely no luck would love to have it in my collection someday
found 2 at walmart the blisters are messed up but had to pick em up that Rive is just crazy nice ..
You still want one? I have one for sale or trade
Might be a little tough to pick the best but it's not going to be too hard to pick the worst. Once again Matchbox is doing all the right things, tons of excellent cars.
I would like to have the Testla model x

63 chevy & 32 ford pickups

Again, really difficult to pick a Best. Just as difficult to find one to be disappointed about.
The white VW fastback, with gold disc rims, just looks like a chase model.
I like the VW microbus` too.
I found the C10 Chevy Pickup, gets my vote.
my decision is the blue porsche
The two Crown Vice were the best as well as the Model X
I like the super fast camaro looks.

green Camaro for the win! I already have a porsche super treasure hunt so I didn't pick up the matchbox porsche. The Corvette is a beauty as well!
Love the 36 Ford, that's actually a cool Custom from the late 40s, a shop truck for Westergard Customs. So cool that they did this car! Torn between S2k, range Rover and 32 Chevy pickup. And of course the classic Porsche for my favorite

9:05 VW micro bus is my vote
and I thing is only me 2% 👍👍👍
Prefer for that green camaro
I guess what i voted for is currently leading at 9%..😁
VERY hard to pick this year! Favourite has to be the Type 3, especially in the blue. Have to say, awesome music and editing on this video, keep up the good work!
The S2K for me hands down...
I favor American classic and Muscle Cars so i like the 64 Pontiac Grand Prix, 63 Chevy C 10, 83 Buick Riviera,36 Ford Street Rod Panel Van and 32 Ford Model A Street Rod Pickup...

2020 Matchbox Moving-Parts Will Be The Green Lamborgini Centanario

Best: Pontiac Grand Prix
Most Disappointing: Renault Trezor Concept
Cool I got to get a couple of those 65 Pontiac Grandprix
My favorite is the white VW fastback/gold HW steelies. The Porsche 911 is also FIRE! The Renault is probably my vote for most disappointing simply because I just dont like the look. No company is diecasting anything Toyota right now , Toyota wont grant the license for whatever reason.
Not true, Jada has the just trucks Toyota tundra in 1/64 scale
I have the original Datsun 280z it’s nice to see it out again
Many great castings. Corvette, S2000, 32 Ford and Chev P.U. Love the 911 and VWs. Renault and Tesla are my least favorite.
Never found the jeep and the Chevy truck
1980 Porsche 911 turbo for me
That is the one I want so badly I use to have a real 63 Chevy C10 factory V8 283

Ohm State Blue Shark, no moving parts.
Oh cool another one I need is that Buick I’m a GM guy

Best: VW bus. Looks perfect and its an icon IMO done beautifully
Most disappointing...uhhh....the the pick up probably idk
We got that one as well
Land Rover is my favorite 👌🏻
The 21 Window VW Bus!
Happy New Year Buddy!!
That’s one I bought the VW 1600 for my daughter she a VW fan
I have a few of these there are few nice ones still need to get a few more I see. Matchbox are doing very well with their cars. The only one I'm disappointed in is the Riviera it is to small compare to the others. my favorite is the Nissan. I haven't seen the other ones at all
Where can I find matchbox cars that open doors and what is the prise difference
I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am with matchbox's distribution in my area (southwest Chicagoland)!
where can i get that parking lot stage thing
BEST:Green Camero WORSE: Concept car
I hate moving DOORs on 1/64s.
The gaps are too big to scale.
was there a rendering issue at 5:53?
The best one for me is the Range Rover. They nailed that model. Only the tyres are a bit ugly but other than that, this one is a major winner for me. Best: Porsche
Worst: Renault... My kid liked it though
All is nice cars..
Most I like : Jeep & Range Rover
The moving parts crown victoria was originally going to be a taxi.
Does anyone know when #7 in the Super fasts will be released?
I want more backdoor opening cars
The best pick was the crown Victoria like come on
Odette Fuentes that was the most disappointing for me. I get that they had to do the rear doors like that, but that still made it a bit goofy.
Idk man the Renault is hard to open and close so that might be the worst for me and it’s feature still feels like 3D printed
Can I vote I didn’t care?
Bmw i8 and Range Rover for sure
Nah no more US cop cars being Canadian I need more RCMP the Jeeps are always cool

The worst 2019 toy matchbox car is Nissan nv van and best 2019 toy matchbox car is 2016 Ford explorer interceptor ...
Anything with Hotwheels wheels is a failure.
KEEP MATCHBOX AND HOTWHEELS EXCLUSIVE!
The only thing that you
The i8 and the Trezor are junk, too much plastic.
best:mercedes benz 220sel
worst:ford crown vic
and the worst is buick riviera
come oun mayne!! thas one of the best ones breh ...
All of them are disappointing. Diecast collectors dont need toys with moving parts. Wheels included.
