Thank you for the introduction. Just bought a Siruba yesterday and needed some advice to start my sewing projects. It was very useful, thanks! Greetings from Hungary.
Can you tell me the stitches per minute and the power of this machine. Is it an industrial or does it sit somewhere in between? Do you recommend it over juki or brother. I’m quite a fan of juki. But they’re expensive.
Interesting to see what the modern machines can do. It's very impressive. Only out of curiousity, do you think that winding bobbins like this could cause bobbin tension issues. Obviously it works, but perhaps it's not wound as well as it would be if it were done at a constant speed. Any thoughts or problems encountered? Thanks. 👍
Thanks for your comment. Interestingly these types of automatic machines have been around for a long time. I remember working on Pfaff machines in the 80's that had all of these automatic features. There's no problem winding a bobbin like this, even with light weight threads. The bobbin winder tension is so light, there is hardly any drag when bobbin is coming up to speed on the winder. Inconsistent sewing speed can cause an issue with the bobbin because of inertia. When the machine stops suddenly, as designed, the bobbin can keep spinning in the bobbin case, causing thread to tangle and loop. This is called over-spin and can be rectified with anti-spin springs in the bobbin case.
@@InStitches You are a wealth of knowledge! It's amazing how little innovation there has been. We are so used to things progressing at lightning pace. I'm investigating robust 1950s and '60s cam machines, looking for a keeper. I came across a free arm Waltons Celestial 875 here in the UK recently. Do you know of them? I suspect that they may have been made by Jaguar in Japan like the Kenmore 158s. I can't view the internals unfortunately so I don't know if they are all metal geared. Thanks.
Hi , I am in NZ looking to buy an automatic industrial sewing machine for the first time, I was looking into the Juke DDL7000AS-7 , then I found your videos of the Siruba and Zoje. You seem to have used few machines over the years can you kindly give me an opinion. Please reply.
Great vid thanks
Just got an old one of these as my first industrial
