  • My very first ramblings on this new model from Corgi. I forgot to mention the weight of it but it’s very light with the majority of the model made of plastic.
    Hope you enjoy!

even the hotwheels diescast enterprise D got suttlebay 2 and 3 correct, its very annoying that corgi and eaglemoss could not

The trademark reminds me of my Diamond Select Ent E with the big “Made in China” on the left nacelle 😂.
It makes me think that these are from a dystopian timeline where Starfleet is a megacorp and prints its trademarks on their ships 😂

    Really nice model.
The Eaglemoss window alignment issue is caused by drifting. A machine prints the windows and they might be accurate at the start but the machine drifts out of alignment as it finishing printing the windows. It would not be as noticeable if they did not do indentations for the windows to print over. Eaglemoss refused to remove the indentations for future production runs.

Currently working on the Eaglemoss build up model of the D. Fully lighted. Couple of feet long. BUT, you guys know that Eaglemoss went bankrupt right?

Corgi are developing the refit/A Enterprise.
I personally would send this back for an exchange or refund. This model isn't exactly cheap and I'd expect better quality control.

For a first timer. Great review! You provided a bit more detail than another video I watched. Well done. I’m hoping to get both of mine soon to add to the Tony Enterprise (1:350 scale) I got from the states.

@@ThatYorkshireTrekkie I’ll look forward to seeing them. Especially the original Enterprise that’s out from Corgi!!

@@Bejay1966 thanks! I’ll hopefully be getting that model soon. Again, I had the original one back in 2006 so I’m interested to see if there any changes. 👍🏻

So are we looking at a model that's Eaglemoss XL size? The dimensions on their site seemed small for their price point but maybe it's the packaging they'd use to justify that? My eye keeps getting sucked to the pinkness around the registry lettering? Seems odd to me? I liked their 2000s Bird of Prey...

@@ExcelsiorsDomain I did mention in the video that it’s actually smaller than the XL Eaglemoss edition but the paint work is better, in my opinion. I’ve had a look at the lettering and it seems good to me, although the positioning of the Name and registry is a little too close to the lifeboats.

Yeah would be an interesting comparison.

Looks good. How much was this just curious? Yeah wonky warp engines were a major problem with the Enterprise-D models. Even from AMT/ERTL/Round 2.
I wish Master Replicas / Eaglemoss could have done better with their window alignments. I do like the updated version of this particular one compared to what you showed.

Hi, thanks for your comment. This was £54.99. Yeah, the warp engine alignment seems to be a struggle for most. My favourite ever Enterprise D model/toy is the art asylum version but even that came with all of the windows missing from the star drive’s neck. 🤦🏻‍♂️
I agree, the paint job on this model is much better than their last version. 👍🏻

At just short of £60.00 for the Corgi (and god alone knows what the Eaglemoss XL is going for on EBay) it should be better than just "fine".
      Corgi. Do better!
Still it's an improvement on the original release in terms of the colour contrast. And the packaging.

@@nicholasklangos9704 impossible to hear? I can hear it fine and nobody else has complained about any issues. I don’t have a mic position as my phone was the only mic that I have. I’m looking into buying better equipment, though.

I really hoped Corgi would have improved on the stands. I have the old Corgi Enterprise's and all of them have broken off at the base of the mounting peg. Thought in 20 years they'd have fixed that.

    • @ThatYorkshireTrekkie

I hear ya, but this stand does seem a lot better than the one they released previously.
