OMG! Thank You! Thank You!! Thank You!!! My spring went "everywhere" as you mentioned and was totally lost on fixing it. I did notice the notch in the cord wheel. Sooo thankful you made this to guide us all on a propper fix. Awesome advise. Again, thanks so much. N
This mower has been kicking for about 10 years now. Always had a short cord on it after the original snapped and other minor issues with the recoil starter ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx-NCBSqqKJlyQ5_JGS_STpsFYihe7bmM3 until I finally had to open it up in an attempt to feed in a new line. I noticed it was all rusty and the coil was going but upon dismantling it was too much of a pain to get it all back in there correctly and opted to just get a new one. not sure why i waited so long to do so but it was a cheap, easy fix and it would have saved me hours of fiddling with the old rusty coil or trying to pull start and having cheap make-shift lines break in my hand during a pull. If yours is scuffed just replace it!
Thank you so much for making this video! Mine is a Senix 4 cycle gas trimmer, and while the cord mechanism is not exactly the same, it is very similar. Thanks for sharing, very helpful!
Thanks to you I was finally able to fix my older Trimmer. Of course after I already bought a new one since i was unable to figure it out. Then their was your video, saver of the day.😁
This video needs more likes, it's the only one that is any use for the deep cover recoil. Everything else is for stuff with cups or larger radius springs which are easier. I tried the zip tie trick but it didn't work. Surprisingly the scotch tape did it.
Thank you very much. How to catch the inner hook best advice. The tape works as well. Worked for old echo (metal casing recoil) trimmer. God bless.👍🙏🙏🙏❤️🔥
well that Brand has their act together! there's videos on here of other brands where a person has to take the clutch off and spindle shaft out and all hell.
I have really ripped myself up trying to fix mine! That little extra tip was the game changer for me. Thanks a lot. 😁🙏
Your very welcome

This helped me understand how to get the tension back with pull-cord spring . Nice one, geezer!
My pleasure "child" !
I was getting pissed off and tired of fooling with this spring so I thank you for clearing this up for us

Good, thank you.
Now, how do you reattach to motor?
There is a spring loaded plastic wedge that stops the cord being pulled.
خوش طريقة

Slt je possède une débroussailleuse SRM302A DX savoir où se trouve durite d'essence merci
In my case the center screw does not come out, it just goes round and round but I cannot remove it, does anyone know why?..... please.
Without a picture/seeing it, it's hard to diagnose what's happening there, have you got it sorted?
THANKS BRO I WAS HAVING A HELLOFA TIME LOL
Mine will not recoil its like its backwards if that makes sense
I can't picture it; did you make sure you are indeed not winding backwards? Have you got it fixed yet? let me know. Thanks
What is brand name of your trimer?
This one was a Husqvarna.
That spring is so hard to wrap and keep in place. Keeps unraveling on me.
First you have to degreasse it with brake cleaner or solvant! It will help in my opinion!
