How far off to the sides of the boat can you see in shallower water say an average of 10' water depth? Basically is this sonar affective at seein off to the side of the boat in shallow water just as it is in deep water.

The sonar beam in 10ft of water the cone will be about 3 ft under the boat, the side scan will reach out about 120 to 140 ft depending on clarity and transducer placement

OK, maybe you can help me. What transducers do you have on the boat? Are any of them thru the hull? Do you have a 83/200 and a 3D module? Is the 83/200 thru the hull? I have tried twice to get the Lowrance folks to help me trick out my boat without success. They refer me to "the dealer". I want to know from a user like you what you found is the best combo. BTW, what are your thoughts on Spotlight?
Thanks for the videos, keep it up.

I have both, a 83/200 in the hull for on plane sonar and i have a 3d module for the down, side and 3d. that is the best combination, now i also run a 83/200 skimmer transducer on outside of the hull just for my second unit at the console because i don't like sharing the sonar. be happy to help , contact me at tacticalsonar.com

I just got my 3d and took it out the other day and my 1st impression was that there are a ton of bubbles coming off the hull. I tried to filter them out in advanced settings but no luck. Trimmed the motor up and used the trolling motor to see if it was from the engine but they are still there. Did you have this problem out of the box?

Hi Paul, I have the 3D transducer and module and I’m not able to get a reading deeper than 50 ft. How deep will this read? I’m also not able to change or view what frequency it’s running. Can you help? Thank you in advance!

3d module only reads at 455khz, make sure your depth is on auto on the down imaging and not on manual

PaulGettysFishing yes it is on auto and anything deeper than 50 feet the bottom readings are very distorted. And center depth reading is very random. It will not read deeper then 50 ft. Clearly

@@Mark-dj5qf send me some screenshots, paul@tacticalsonar.com you will need to adjust your contrast up the deeper u get, u are doing that correct?

PaulGettysFishing no I’m not doing that. I’ll try it tomorrow out on the water and send you a screen shot for sure. By the way I follow all of your videos and you know what your doing! Thank you!!
