Vince Dicola is the definitive soundtrack of Transformers imo.
Steve Jablonsky and Brian Tyler for me personally, but DiCola is a very close 3rd Place. Honesty all 3 of them are pretty much tied for 1st.
This is one of the most 80s things I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.
It literally has everything that you would list as an 80s chliche. Amazing.
Fun fact: the beat that you hear for a little at 0:10, you can actually hear this in the end credits song for “Transformers Devastation”
That freaking ROBOTS IN DISGUISE voice. Always awesome.
@Jeremy Grandison how it came out in 1986 It was the first transformers movie then the next movie came out a bit afterwards
Tom C auto tune is acceptable in 95% of cases as it generally makes voices sound better
I bet the non robot voice in this song is auto tuned aswell lol
@@fortnitesexmanIt only makes vocals sound better if the vocalist is mediocre to begin with. And no, most of this track isn't auto-tuned. Auto tuning vocals did not become common practice until the late 90s/early 2000s. Before 1998-1999 it was extremely rare.
When the music's so good that you turn into a transformer yourself for a second
That moment you realize all of this movies music was amazing.
Announcer: “And now, it’s here in theaters everywhere; Transformers: The Movie!”
Megatron: “It’s over, Prime!”
Announcer: “Does Prime die? Transformers: The Movie! Rated PG! Now playing everywhere! Don’t miss it!”
@@dankmemes4744 then it wouldnt have had the swearing back then, dumbass
@@aricgill1290 Well he died like Jesus died... they both came back... and they are both fictional characters
Rocky and the transformers meet would be an amazing 80’s crossover
@@sonicloud7774 I know so it would be a cool crossover
I am happy with how the intro song turned out for the movie, but this is dope as hell.
I can see Rocky Balboa training to this to take on Megatron.
Samson Whitemoon well it was the same composer from Rocky 4, Vince Dicola :)
The only thing that would make this more 80s is if it were snorting crack off of Ronald Reagan’s photo.
Brandon Tenold. He’s a UA-cam movie reviewer who usually focuses on old cheesy B-movies, but also does some animated films. He did a video for Transformers: The Movie. In it, during the opening credits and theme, he made literally the exact same comment as you did
John Caulfield holy crap it does say that! Plus something about leg warmers
@@DrachronianDefender Its legwarmers snorting crack off a photo of Ronald Reagan
Gotta love the music from the 80s films.
To this day the movie had the best soundtrack of any transformers property.
Only through the wisdom of the Primes will I ever figure out what this is doing in a hip hop playlist.
And that guy who made the playlist was either too lazy to create a separate playlist or thought this was actually hip hop...........
I didn't hear this version of the TF theme until recently when I bought the 20th Anniversary Soundtrack Album. I'm not sure how old it is, seeing as it was never used anywhere in the movie. But if its about the same age as the soundtrack itself, then all I have to say is this alternate theme really kicks ass. It's really nice to listen to. But in fact, this soundtrack was always worth listening two.
So nobody knows this song actually existed until it was released for the Transforners' 20th Anniversary Soundtrack Album?
I WANT THIS AS MY RINGTONE really bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll never forget someone using this (abridged) for a fan-made intro to both the 3rd season of the G1 cartoon and his imagining of an actual 5th season and posting them here on UA-cam. Freakin' awesome. ;)
@@ChibiProwl ua-cam.com/video/39TosMJsHeQ/v-deo.html
Here's the intro, but I don't know how to find the rest
TRANSFORMAS!!! MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE!!!
AUTOBOTS WAGE THEIR BATTLE TO DESTROY THE EVIL FORCES OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFF! THE DECEPTICONS! YEA!!
TRANSFORMERS ROBOTS IN DISGUISE
TRANSFORMERS
MORE THAN MEETS THE EYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEE
this should be the opening theme for the new movie
I apologize, this does not appear. You could always watch 2018's Bumblebee
The animation was done by TOEI which also did the animation for Inhumanoids, G.I. Joe, Jem, and other Hasbro shows in the 1980's. But also a South Korean studio did some of the animation for Transformers and other Hasbro shows so no it isn't an anime.
There were some sequel anime, like Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory, and Zone.
I can’t get enough of this song!!!! I’m like 8 again …this never gets old … I’m 43 & it still gives me great memories
Seeing as the next Splatfest IS Autobots vs. Decepticons, this won't be playing, but blare it!
It would be awesome to see a g.i joe and/or Jem the holograms splatfest. I'd be down for that kind of splatfest. I really love all these 80's stuff
My god this is beautiful. I love how it adds the original cartoon theme in the background even tho I LOVE the lion version. I would’ve loved to see this in the movie
Yeah I grew up with The Transformers and was pretty obsessed. I think this was just a bonus track for the soundtrack. I love the Lion version. That version is probably why I like metal so much :P Vince DiCola really did mastermind this soundtrack too. Awesome times :D
Thank you, Barney Stinson. You managed to unite Brokind with a single song.
i was so happy when optimus came back to life in the series, still gotta love rodimus prime THAT TRUCK WAS AMAZING
I was just looking around Apple Music and I found this. Said I couldn’t listen to it in my country/area and I said “we’ll see about that.” And here we are. Breaking the law in the name of music. It was worth it :)
new movies need soundtracks like this
I listened to this song on my ipod while watching the action sequences from the live action movies in theatres. It fits perfectly.
Upset they removed this version from streaming.. I adore this rendition.
Best theme ever :)
Especially my favorite part of it 0:53 2:18
Love the different themes that come and go all through out the soundtrack. Vince Dicola is a master.
I have always loved, I love and I will always love Vince DiCola's way to do music.
This song is awesome. Everything from Vince's mind is awesome. I would like he had a longer career.
Really? It's a good theme tune, eventhough I prefer Lion's theme better. Their theme really gave more steam power to the Transformer's movie and even it's slogan " The most incredible rock n roll adventure ever!" as it quotes in the 1986 trailer and on one or two of the promotional cinema posters. I love this film. It's a big reminder of how life was in the 80's...hard, simple, but also a happy time.
This is why the Michael Bay ones were never as good ;p
Also bad writing, directing, the transformers having little to no character, and overly brutal violence. But this too
It’s Ya Boi
Don’t forget the fact that they all look the same and it’s hard to tell them apart. Especially since both are attacking people 99% of the time...
Eh true. Only good one was the first one, and even then I think I’m the only one who likes it.
Still, at least the soundtracks for all of them were pretty dope.
Rocky's alternative training montage theme. Lol. You cant miss DiCola's music.
While I still prefer the version by Lion, I love this version too.
Always Vince DiCola.... damm, this guy is amazing!
more than meets the eye..
The proggiest cartoon theme of all time.
A classic get psyched song
The shortened version of this was used in the Finnish fandub made by Dubbessiivit in which I did the voice of Grimlock.
Whenever I think of the concept of transformers, this song plays
I for some reason, prefer this theme song more than the original one.
I remember finding this song once when I was 18 and thinking how amazing it was and not knowing where it was from.
14 years later I finally found it.
It's just as amazing
Unicron disliked this 28 times
I gotta tell ya, Unicron's a total Jerk sometimes. But hey, he's quite intimidating.
I actually think most of this version is better than the main one (performed by Lion), except for that "YEAHH" - it just cracks me up every time and it ruins the whole feel for me.
Idk man, this slaps harder than my fathers belt. I don’t know who did it better, dicola or lion.
I vote DiCola since I always think Lion's TF theme was overhyped lol.
This AWESOME song should have been use for the ending credits of the movie.
My all-time favourite version of the theme!!!
psyched!
I dont know why. But somehow I fuck with this heavily.
Til' all are one
LONG LIVE THE TRANSFORMERS!!!!!!!!!!
I love that amazing scene where Optimus is training for his fight, runs to the top of the mountain and screams "MEGATROOOOOON!"
Wait....
2:16 is so much yes
I think this would be an awesome theme song for Transformers Prime. In fact, this would make an awesome tribute video to that show.
Can there be a 1 hour version? please?
Weird. Some of this version found its way into the score but I had no idea it was ever a version of the theme.
@2:06 - An appropriate level of excitement for first-gen Transformers. 🙂
My Brother and I are having a debate. Is Transformers a Anime, due to the fact that the animation was done by TOEI(the people who made Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon And Digimon to name a few). I say NO due to the fact that it was written, recorded, produced and directed by Marvel Productions and Sunbow Productions. What do you think?
I say it's both, an anime, AND a potential new place for the MCU to go. The Transformers is technically a Marvel Comic, but of course no one actually knows that other than it being a technicality. Hell, for all we know, it was sold to Paramount when Marvel was in debt
bro code = best book i've ever purchased
This music gives me futuristic vibes
🙂This always gives me the good vibes.
this one is really good it's the stan bush and vince dicola version :)
Article 122, we praise you.
Simply spectacular.
Is this what the 80 where like
80's is the era of rock, love all track in the movie
Vince had no reason to go THIS HARD on a soundtrack but he did
Thank You for posting this!!!!!
2:16 shivers.
Is it weird that i like this version better than the final version
According to his wiki he co-produced the Staying Alive soundtrack with Frank Stallone. I haven't seen that one in a long time so I don't remember much.
This is one of my favorite renditions of the Transformers theme song.
Glad I still have my physical copy cd
Thank you for the song
1:22 that felt like my child hood
Jack Cullen: Hello Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna and Students of Canterlot high school, Today me and The Rainbooms play Transformers the movie alternative theme song. *Jack and The Rainbooms play Transformers the movie Alternative theme song*
Awesome, just as awesome as lion's version!
I'm a OG fan I've seen all of Generation 1 I haven't seen gunmasters or Headmasters though
I heard part of this theme during part of the tv sot trailer when they showed commercials for the toys back in 1986.
was this theme used at the scene where Perceptor sees the decepticons and rapport that to ultra Magnus in a kind of difficult speech because they are outnumberd?
This one’s actually as good as the the final version if not better
That's a great song!
thank you bro ! *high five*

YEAH, featuring the Transformers theme
It's too bad this theme wasn't included in the movie itself and only saw use in trailers.
Hank Robber True, but this theme could've been amazing to hear at some point. Probably druing the attack on Autobot City.
Actually I've heard it used in the movie, I think I have a special version. It was used during the title screen, and some times in the credits
Alumlovescake Liar, sweetie. I know that in the 30th anniversary edition at least, this is in the menu and credits.
wow guys read the description it's pretty interesting.
city bbattle and lion theme = some mods I LikE It
I believe this was used on one of the comercials that was promoting the movie back in those times
Theme so fire im about to fight the decepticons
If you listen closely you can hear the other songs and themes from the soundtrack in there, it works kinda like an overture!
You're right! I hear some essence of the "Autobot/Decepticon Battle" from the movie! And it works pretty well!
Hey. Maybe it can be the overture of a Broadway musical!
@@benjaminfischer3229 "Transformers: Song of Cybertron", a new musical coming soon to Broadway.
1:18 you are right I hear it
