He's due for a huge win. He's come so close many times, always rises to the top. Been with Mezz since 2009. Alex gave him some chalk. I love his lucky charms. Great video!
Been waiting for a What's In The Bag with Mario ever since I bought my Mezz last year! I have the same WX-Sigma wood shaft he's carrying around but no longer using. My cue isn't quite as gorgeous as his but I love it anyway! 😂
What a sweet and likable man! That Mess cue is sick! They make great cues. I like Mario’s game too. Very consistent. I love the little lucky charms he has in his bag! Surprised he doesn’t have a lucky panda in there. ❤ 🐼🐼
These videos keep getting better. (Questions, editing, etc.) Also Mario knew a lot about his cues. Funny bc a lot of pros have no idea about the details like tip hardness, weight, etc.
Yea that's the most surprising thing i've noticed in these bag vids. I would have thought the pro players would be able to name all the specs and their personal preference for weight, tip, diameter, etc. but most are like "uhh i don't know, I just grabbed it and liked the feel" lol.
Definitely do Aloysius Yapp please! Apparently he is playing with a new prototype Mezz carbon shaft at the moment. Would be great for us Mezz fans to get some more info on that 😉
can you do this series with Duong Quoc Hoang from VietNam? I think many audiences are curious too. Though Mr Duong is not too good in English I suppose 😅
Hi karl, that is wavy2 joint on his butt. And for the shaft, yess its one solid mapple with the carbon tube inside in the core of the shaft. So the shaft feels very solid and less deflection.
your right minus the ferrules and the go seems to be raw or satin carbon fiber. where the ad3 has a coating on the handles. the ad2 seems closer to the go customs jump cue imo
@@Flackbox I personally own the air drive 3. It’s much better than the air drive 2. I wasn’t impressed with the ad2 tbh. I have tried ad3, predator air rush , cutec propel, hanshew custom jump cue. You can’t go wrong with any of these. The propel jumps the easiest. They really nailed it with their jump cue. The propels weakest of the four when it comes to control/spinning the ball for shape. So if you are just thinking about making a good hit I would say go with propel. But if you jump with English, to make the shot and get shape. The air rush and ad3 are better. Also at this level I would say go which every you think looks nicer because I’m splitting hairs and they are all great jumpers. My main jump cue has been a dymondwood jumping jax with a g10 tip. It’s heavy and jumps super easy. But because of the weight it’s suited more for long jumps. And short high jumps are really difficult. Now that I’ve been practicing with the ad3 I notice when I’m off center more because it imparts so much spin. So you have to be more accurate where your hitting the ballX
It's so odd to me that Karl knows nothing about the different cue brands etc. You would think that he has seen it all in his profession, but nope. Show me a cue and/or player, and I could tell you everything about that brand or what sponsor he/her plays with at the moment. Thanks for the upload, Karl.
I've tried a smaller tip, play with an ExPro 12.5mm. From what I've experienced, the better your stroke and control, you don't need the mechanical advantage of a smaller contact point that results in greater spin rate with the same stroke. I could possibly see that on smaller balls on a smaller table with a softer, more compact stroke it might be good, but there's an adjustment to control. As my stroke's developed to where I can generally get all the action I need and more out of it, there's more to be gained by learning how to control the cue ball with length of bridge and judging speed than looking to get more out of it with equipment adjustments.
@@robertreese2600 ive played with 11.8, 12.4, 12.5, 13... once your a decent player you can adjust to all of them , and really you just have to play what feels and looks right to you. I Love the ex pro. tried the revo for a year and went back. the revo i played for a year was a 12.4.. i think i liked the 11.8 better. but the expro is still my baby

Most underated player in the game. Seems he is always top 5 but cant seem to snap them off . But that is where you want to be.
Very true he’s Quiet low key non expressive
He always seems to sneak his way to the final table 😂😂👌🏾
he’s sneaky good that guy!
Mario ,always such a humble person and an amazing player. Much love from Guyana.
Gorgeous playing cue, Mario has a flair for design.
I think so too!
Exceed is highest quality playing cue of Mezz brand, it's just like Lexus of Toyota, the cue's cost 5-7000usd for butt only 😂
Now I want to see those Mezz cues! Mario is such a likeable dude.

@Karl Boyes, in future what's in the bag series you should bring kitchen scale to measure weight of those buts/shafts :D
Joint looks like radial. I have the same in my Treadway.
Team mezz thanks Karl ! Over due for mezz players get some exposure ❤
What a nice dude!
yo @karlBoyes , when are you going to put up the mezz air drive 3 against the propel and rush??? cant wait brother.
Might do that yes sir
Karl appreciate you for asking about the joints. Very cool . Be encouraged my brother
Love this guy, calm and humble. Would be nice if Karl can do something about Hoang Sao btw.
Great video as always! Love these videos! Wish he would have told us what tip was on his carbon fiber
G2 tip.
@@KarlBoyesPoolLife thank you!
Can you do whats in the bag of Jayson Shaw please, i want to get know more of his new cues 😃
Sooooon bro
You was a man to your word and i appreciate that
Thanks ☺️
how about what’s in the bag for Duong Quoc Hoang ?
You should try exceed cue with ignite shaft karl
the panda!. can we get big kaci or yapp next
"Kungfu Panda Pool Mario Hee"
That is a really nice looking playing cue.
Fully agree
Great clip. Mario is a great guy. Can’t wait til you do one with Kristina Zlateva.

The case is discontinued 😤 been trying to buy one 😢
Case just came out dummy
Mezz has a great extension weight wise. Can someone with influence talk to predator and ask them to make something similar 👀
Great video Karl they’re awesome maybe you could get aloysious yapp he’s a super humble dude
Possibly! Thanks

nice video , yes 3 Sec. is Japan i believe it from yuki haraguchi , i got green pair
Thanks for the info!
Super Mario..😊 but i call him Poo ( Kungfu Panda )👍🏾

i think the one shaft you talking about is ex pro shaft but mario has the sigma shaft thats 2 different shaft i think so
@@phamduc5445Yep, the Sigma is wood only. The Ex Pro and Hybrid Pro II are the only Mezz shafts with carbon core in them.
Watching u in the Scottish open come on Karl win it 🎱
everybody always love panda
Hey @Karl Boyes, can you do James Aranas next please, he'll be competing in the World Pool Masters soon.🙏🙏🙏
Yes I will soooooon
Aloysius yapp😅😅😅😅
Id love to know his backstory. How a ethnic asian ended up growing in in Austria. He even has the accent!
🐼 💪🏼 Team Mezz 👏🏼
can we talk about the health and wellness of mario he's break shaft
I noticed that as well.
Future mezz air drive 3 jump cue review?
It's been out for a few weeks now but sold out everywhere. Should be a restock soon. Jumps great. Super easy.
💯
‘Cocobolo, is that the brown looking wood there?’ 😂
Karl how can you not know what cocobolo is pal! Also did you ask Mario what his playing tip is?
Coz I’m stupid hahaha his playing tip is G2
Nice

about 6-7k. It's one of a kind from exceed.
it's exceed bro

I think the point is for the player themselves to speak about their equipment and their opinions
i'd be willing to bet he feigns ignorance to let the player describe the equipment.
That’s exactly the point lol
Why is it so rare for a player to use a 11.8 tip?
I've tried a smaller tip, play with an ExPro 12.5mm. I use an 11.8 tip. Accuracy on the cb is better. Most players are not nuanced enough to play with them imo.
FSR use cuetec cynergy 11.8
