The only thing holding the Knicks back is health, and Thibs not using his bench more, everywhere he goes he wears out his players. Other than that, the Knicks are a solid team, they should just add more depth instead of sacrificing solid role players for a superstar.
We’re not delusional. Just excited. This year is exciting. Let us live. Obviously we aren’t there yet to win a finals. Missing a few key players for most of the year but it feels good that the rest of the team stepped up.

I thought his opinions were somewhat unbiased and fair with his interesting perspectives. But, I dont think he’s very analytical or have much information to support his opinion about these Knicks. The fans aren’t delusional. They know Knicks are not good enough but is overachieving and that’s what they’re in love with. New York is starved for a good team and has been for decades. This team is what the fans have been waiting for. Mature, hard working, good players playing like their hair is on fire on both sides of the ball is what the New York fans respect and love. Secondly, Hawks? Really? Invest a couple of minutes in thought before saying something as ridiculous as that. Atalanta had no picks, no assets or resources to make improvements. Knicks have 11 1st round picks, expiring contracts, and great young players still improving with other stars in the league itching to jump on the Knicks bandwagon. This year was only the start and not the end result. Lastly, when Randall comes back, they will be whole again. They were that only one month this year. Their record was 14 - 2 and seemingly every game was a blowout. So just doing nothing and getting players back from injury makes the Knicks much better than what we see now in the playoffs. Im not a basketball player or an analyst but even I can back up my opinion with realistic views and facts, something I thought this guy did but i realize he’s just a smaller version of Charles Barkley spewing comedy rather than interesting insights. I think i just got dumber after watching this video….

For the past decade after moving to the Bay from nyc, Steph and Dray have been my favorite players. Donte was great facilitating Steph and Poole. After missing the playoffs, Jalen has completely won me over. Not only him but this Knicks team has heart and grit. A fully healthy Knicks and one more piece will put them on the finals map for years to come.

Portland actually pretty much broke that team up in 2019-20. Only three siginificant members of the 18-19 season were on the team the next year, lillard, nurkic, and mccoollum (Nurkic was injured that years for the playoffs so doesn't completely count). That isn't a good comparison at all.
